So I purchased a car here 8/6/24. On 8/9/24 it was at the shop having the alternator replaced. Now I don't put this part on them because I do understand alternators can go out in a instant. However on 8/13/24 I noticed water just pouring in the trunk. And I don't meet a leak. Literally pouring. The weather tech mat had every bit of at least an inch of water. This is the part I have a hard time believing they didn't know about. I was told the car had been on the lot approximately 3 months and that they had used the car several times to make deliveries around town and other small things of that nature.. With that said I truly believe they hid the leak from me because of how severe it really is on both sides.

Here is my Range Rover that we bought from Blain/Oak Ridge sales only 4 days earlier. $13k in repairs that ORAS stuck us with.

They will keep your money and take you through loops and zig zags to get it back. Even with full proof that the money was never returned. If you can spare to hold with cash and return with cash that'll be your best bet. If I didn't call back to ask for my hold fee. They would've never given it back. They have screened my calls and given me the runaround for days now. If the bank is telling you that the transaction never satisfied the account then why are you still saying you refunded my account when it's not there. Second the customer service is horrible. On my pick up day. Leonard, Hamze and their boss are horrible. Gave me a half ass detail on the car they sold to me. I mean what can you expect from shitty ppl. I could potentially be a future customer again or even spread word about this dealership if they actually have good customer service. After seeing how there boss doesn't say anything or make his place of business pleasant it trickles down to the office. We We're sitting in his office doing paperwork and he doesn't say two words to me. He then walks out of the office and doesn't say anything. Then Hamze walks in and tries to pressure me into doing a document that I clearly said I would do without him doing so, because if you guys wanted to do it then you would have charged me to do the same thing. I came to get the car and hand you the check. That's it! Got a whole check but can't refund me my holding Fee. I Repeat Stay away from Triad Imports! Your claims not adding up Triad Imports. Fix it!

We walked in…read moreand there was the biggest selection of well-kept Prius we've ever seen among other various brands. Although we are fans of new technologies we were not particularly Prius lovers nor did we have deep knowledge of how they work; therefore, we were a bit apprehensive about what to expect, how much would the battery last, how much it would be to repair or replace it or other hard to pronounce mechanical components that could go wrong etc...We still wanted a cutting edge technology, gas saver, reliable vehicle to drive long distances and we knew this one had the potential to fulfill all of these. As we were looking around with absolute no "salesman pressure" on the radar we narrowed down two or three models we were interested in knowing more about so we walked into the office and met the owners. David and Melina were the kindest, honest and dependable people we've ever met at a car dealership, they allowed us to test drive all the cars we wanted and answered all the questions we had; that's right, they answered and didn't ask us about anything; well, I just turned 50 and I've always had to do my own brainwash before walking into a car dealership to make sure they don't convince me about buying something I really don't know if I want or I'm not ready for; to my happiest surprise, this was very relaxing and refreshing! I've never experienced something like this. On the technical side, I am not a mechanic by any means but I like to tinker with cars and I've repaired some simple parts on some other vehicles we've had; given this background, I was very pleased to see that the owners actually knew about these hybrid vehicles very well, not only that, they also offer very convenient services for refurbishing or replacing the batteries and other preventive maintenance and they are very open about what any particular car requires in order to keep them in good conditions. So, in other words, this is a place where the owners like and know what they sell, believe in a pressure free are very proud of their service and are prepared to provide some basic maintenance and repairs for a very reasonable price. My girlfriend and I are very happy to have found this place and we strongly recommend it. We bought a 2009 Prius on November 2015, it's running very well so far and if it ever needs anything fixed or maintained, we will go straight to this place.

It's a fine option for a person who doesn't really need to be "sold" a car, rather someone who has done all their own research on what they want to buy, has a price in mind, and just wants to go get it without too much hassle. There are some advantages to buying here, like the ability to bring it back within 10 days for a full refund, and not having to haggle. If you like the price, you buy the car, if you don't, you move on. Disadvantages of course, are pretty much that the salesman is not super motivated to sell you a car, and is therefore not going to be very knowledgeable about whatever car you roll up about and want to look at. This is fine for me, I knew what I wanted, and I got it. It wasn't without difficulty however. The specific car I wanted had to come in from Georgia, which I paid a transfer fee for. It was supposed to take 3-5 days, it ended up being over 2 weeks. This left us short a car for awhile, as we had already given up the other car based on their timeline. They did refund the transfer fee, so that made it partially right, but I say this to not take their word on their timelines. My second complaint, is that the transaction took WAY TOO LONG inside Carmax, especially given I had already filled out most paperwork in advance. The person helping us seemed pretty new, and she kept having to get up and ask other associates questions. She also was not very observant, we were pointing out things on the screen that she was missing. She really should have had someone looking over her shoulder to help, as she was not ready to be on her own. Finally, it's a good thing I advocated for myself and knew to check for certain things. Our new car is a plug in hybrid, and the car was supposed to come with a charging cable. It was not in the car anywhere, but with a little persistence they gave me one from their service center. Carmax does do a thorough inspection on the cars they sell, and actually, the independent shop I brought the car to said they've not had many problems with Carmax missing things. In my case that held true, their Volvo certified mechanic found nothing wrong with my car mechanically, and said it appears to have been well maintained and serviced. He did find a very small windshield chip, which Carmax fixed free of charge without any complaint. Would I buy another car from Carmax? I would, but I am someone who just needs someone to facilitate the transaction, I'm savvy enough to know the car on my own and do my own research. I wouldn't recommend Carmax as a place for the inexperienced buyer.
