This is my second winter here in Bellevue and I always will come by to visit Oak St! You can taste the freshest of ingredients in Vicky's bahn mi and her veggie lasagna just warms my heart. Also, don't forget to take away a bakers dozen worth of cookies! She has a variety of sweeties from sugar cookies to PB topped with a chocolate kiss, petit fours to old fashioned chocolate chips, and gluten free options too! My favorite so far are the S'mores!! My friends and I always stop here on the way to Sun Valley. The place is cute, the owner is delightful, and food is always fresh and delicious. Love the sandwiches, and choices of salads, and the decadent cookies. One year we made the trip too late to catch it open and we were very sad that we were forced to go elsewhere. Tiny little place with delicious food. Simple and perfect. I had the Chicken Salad Sandwich on Sourdough (see pics) and it was very yummy with a tangy mustard and lots of veggies. Dad had enchiladas that he devoured in under a minute. Toddler had a fruit cup. The Honeydew Melon (which I usually consider to be a filler fruit that no one ever eats) was soooo juicy and delicious! Help yourself to lemonade and iced tea or pick from bottled drinks. You pay when you leave with either cash or check. No cards. Good thing too since the desserts on the counter are worth a second look. I had the lemon bar cookie and it was just the right amount of lemon and sweet! Would definitely recommend stopping here for something simple and filling. 5 stars because there wasn't a single thing to complain about. All handmade from scratch quality food. Menu changes every week and is always delightful. Vicky knows what she is doing and it shows in their thoughtful dishes. You can always get a made to order sandwich and choice of soup or choose from a dozen or so homemade dishes that range from salmon to kabobs to various salads to enchiladas to just about anything. It's always a nice surprise. They also have a very well manicured lawn with outdoor seating, including shade. It's an adorable little cafe and they also do catering as well and an occasional breakfast. One of my favorite "tricks" is to get something to go - like spinach dip or potato salad or anything perfect for a picnic, outdoor concert, etc and impress my friends with my homemade delectibles. It's the best food best cook in the valley. After my second time having lunch there the food was so dam good I had to ask "are you married "
