This place went downhill after Covid. We brought our stepson there since 2010 and they were great…read more They had a bunch of turnover and no longer take any interest in patients. To fill a cavity is a 3 month wait and when I sent my daughter in w my mom bc I had to work, they needed to call me like I didn't follow a rule. They've cancelled appointment on me multiple times as well. Also, when my daughter needed to see an orthodontist they took X-rays to provide, which took over an hour and very unprofessional bc they used phone flash lights to look at the X-ray? Then the ones they provided were not them and we knew this bc she had braces and a bracket was missing. Stir clear of this place. They are a factory and just want your business but won't do a good job of keeping it.

Also tried to get a call back by submiting their online form and no one called back. Had to end up calling the Easley location and they were able to access my info to answer a question. Discussed the issue in person and their excuse was being short staffed and they admitted to not answering the phones. This would be understandable if it were not a daily occurance but it has been impossible to get any response at the Greenville location over the past few weeks. Update as of 5/12/25 - the place can respond to my negative review on a differet platform but STILL WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. I left an urgent message on 5/09 and no one has called me back yet as of 4pm 5/12. Looking for another provider ASAP. Also, the place is very unorganized when it comes to arriving and having to wait until your child is seen.

We really enjoyed our visit to Smile Place…read more In short: friendly team, fresh and fun atmosphere (including the VW camper), all new up to date equipment and technology, clean, and great location. In long: Dr. Matt and his team were friendly and warm with my girls. The girls absolutely loved the VW camper and enjoyed finding other parts of the camper throughout the office. Covid precautions: call upon arrival, temperature scans, and everyone wears PPE. Atmosphere: The colors are fun for children but not headache inducing as other places catered for children. There is a giant pastel map on the wall which is adorable. Plenty of seating. A coffee bar. Clean atmosphere Team: Friendly team and I especially enjoy that they speak to your children in a warm, friendly manner but not in that patronizing. high-pitch pattern baby talk. They discuss the importance of dental care with your children not just you. This is great because the kiddos value the professionals' feedback and know that it's not just mom nagging. You can feel their smile in their voices and see them in their eyes. I am happy to have found this location. I'm even more impressed that my recently turned three-year-old sat through her x-rays with no problem because she trust the staff so much. Thank you.

We went for our little ones first visit and I cannot stop talking about how great everything was…read more We had such an amazing experience from start to finish. Check in was a breeze, the lobby was geared for kids and everyone was so friendly! Dr. Matt was amazing! He was so gentle and kind to our boy! I seriously cannot sing their praises enough! Our little one loved the dentist after this visit.

After being a faithful patient for 9 years, my extremely medically complicated child was denied…read moreservice b/c we missed an appt.. So, they dropped us. My child was recovering from surgery and got the flu, and I forgot to call to reschedule. We have SO much work we need to get done in her mouth and sorry, you can't come here anymore they say. Are you kidding!!!! Do these guys even have a heart! My daughter has been through hell (Diabetic, kidney disease survivor and a cancer survivor) and we were told sorry, hit the door. After going there once again for 9 years!! Who does that? Now I am struggling to find another dentist locally that takes medicaid. After explaining this over and over, they couldn't have cared less. I realized then we deserve sooooooooooo much better than this, and so do you! Do you not go here!! They don't care about your situation no matter what it is.

Poor Attitude Bad Work…read more July 2019 I arrived for my daughter's appointment. They did not have her appointment on the schedule. They worked her in. July 2019 my daughter was x-rayed. The hygienist said the x-ray looked great, no cavities. The dentist came to examine and said my daughter had 3 cavities that needed fillings but, they would wait and x-ray in another 6 months. January 2020, my daughter again had x-rays. I was again told she had 3 cavities. She was scheduled to have the 1 on the one side fixed separate from the other side. The soonest appointment they could get her in was April 2020. April 2020 COVID - appointment cancelled. End of May 2020 my daughter got in to have her filling done. Upstate said she had 1 cavity on the one side and two on the other, between her molars. The office said they had a COVID policy that all staff & parents would wear masks. The assistant entering & handing things across my daughter to the assistant was not wearing a mask, the receptionist was not wearing a mask, several adults accompanying patients were not wearing masks. The staff members not wearing masks had the masks on their chins. I reached out to the office in writing regarding their staff not following their own COVID-19 policy. I received a nasty response telling me to find another dentist. End of June 2020, I had my daughter's records transferred to another dentist. The new dentist looking at Upstate's January 2020 x-ray spotted an additional cavity that Upstate did not see. She had 2 cavities on each side between her molars, not 1 on the one side and 2 on the other. Upstate had missed a cavity. The new dentist also did a new X-ray finding that Upstate did not remove all of her cavity when doing the filling that they did last month. Part of the cavity is still visible on the x-ray at the filling. The unpleasant response I received telling me to find another pediatric dental office was a blessing in disguise.
