Time for my annual mammogram! Plenty of parking, easy to…read morenavigate (and I am always lost!) and check in was very easy. Got seated and then called right up! I know when you do your job everyday that things seem so easy and obvious. I needed a little more direction to get to the changing room and waiting area, and then again when I left. And it all worked out in the end, but a couple directional signs could've made it easier to navigate. Process was easy, the tech was funny with me (I started it) and my results back came back fast. Great place for medical procedures! From check in to check out, I was treated with respect and…read morecourtesy. I am very difficult to start an I.V. on. They had the new technology that uses an ultrasound to find the vein so one stick and DONE! Incredible! I can remember coming out looking like the practice grapefruit! I have always been difficult to hit a vein so having a technician trying 5 or 6 times was never a big deal to me. I always had a good spirit about it--it wasn't the technician's fault I have lousy veins so having this new technology was amazing to me. I'm handicapped and use a rollator--everyone was very accommodating and helpful with meeting my needs. I wasn't nervous at all for my procedure because of the professionalism of all the staff!

Had to wait over 56 days for a CAT scan I was very concerned about. Bronson hospital owns this…read morebusiness and my CAT scan was over the 56 day policy and a certified medical assistant just kept putting of my results saying it wasn't in. You have to watch Bronson because you're pcp won't refer you to a specialist even if you have an immune deficiency. They bounce you around from provider to provider and tell you to see you're PCP who I can rarely see. I am getting older and want one provider to follow my care as I have a lot of medical concerns and they will not accommodate me in Richland. When it's important to get in Bronson sends me 38 minutes away to a provider with a crappy bedside manner in Oshtemo. I go to Bronson Primary Care Providers in Richland where the last time I went there was a horrendous long wait in the waiting room and the doc had a less than good beside manner. She didn't apologize for the long wait or explain an invasive procedure & what she was doing. Seemed worn out and was less than personable.

My PCP ordered an ultrasound of my breast. The ultrasound clearly indicated abnormalities. After doing the ultrasound the radiologist insisted on a mammogram. I expressed my concerns because of the radiation that my breast would be exposed to, but was told that I had no other option in order to get a diagnosis. After receiving the mammogram I was sent back to the room to receive another ultrasound to "get clearer pictures" ???? Two days later I had a biopsy at which time it was confirmed that I had breast cancer. My following PET scan reading indicated that I had stage 3 cancer. The plan that they offered did not sit well with me. I stated that I wanted to receive a targeted therapy without the chemo. The oncologist, Dr. Bhagwati, told me that unfortunately she wasn't able to offer it due to it not being approved by the FDA as a single agent. She said that her "hands were tied." I stated my frustration with the FDA and said that I would consider the plan she had given me. Two weeks later, after choosing not to move forward with the suggested care plan I received a letter of discharge. I was discharged from care at Bronson Battle Creek due to "non-compliance". Apparently I was not permitted to choose not to receive chemo. Fast forward two months. I heard of some people receiving the targeted therapy that I had been seeking as a single agent, so I thought I'd seek elsewhere. One phone call and four days later I was sitting in an office at the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center having a consult. Two hours later I was sitting in an infusion chair receiving the targeted therapy as a single agent. Also, after an out of country hospital that I had gone to expressed their concerns about the possible misread of the original scans, I asked if the U of M radiology team could reread them. Four days later it was confirmed that Bronson had grossly misread the scans. More than 75% of the cancer in my body had somehow been missed. I was stage 4, which is what the second hospital had suspected. The original plan set forth by Bronson Battle Creek would have killed me within months. I can't thank them enough for discharging me from their care. They, in essence, saved my life before I gave them the chance to take it. In the last two and a half years I have met two other people that were severely misdiagnosed at Bronson. I wouldn't go to Bronson Cancer Center if it was the only cancer center in the state. If you have gone there I strongly recommend seeking a second opinion. It could save your life.

While I received good service I never received a bill…read more I gave them my license when I went in for service. But the bill was sent to an old "address" according to their billing department. The collection agency was able to send their bill to the right address. Date of service was 9/9/19. I received a bill from a collection agency 10/8. 30 days and sending something to a collection agency? That's shady. I called to pay the bill, but it's already with the collection agency. I would avoid this place at all costs, but sometimes you don't get to choose where you get your medical services.

The hospital sits away from the main drag surrounded by a wooded area giving it a quaint cozy look…read more Unlike other hospitals in the area this one does not look like one. When one drives in from the entrance way one looks over to the left and sees this cream colored building, that could pass for an old office building or apartment complex, only when you are nearer to it huge letters and signs state "EMERGENCY" and "AMBULANCE" lets you know that this in fact is a hospital. The directions are quite good, and one soon finds oneself at the area one needs to be at. The check-in process is handled by a nice friendly and smiling filipino nurse, and one feels instantly at home or maybe a hotel for the night. The sleep-study room is aptly decorated with a closet a bathroom a bed and a tv. You are told that it is a painless procedure and they will hook you up when you are relaxed and ready. It even has free wifi so one can yelp!! The room looks clean and cozy. Does not smell like a hospital at all. And I will finish my review of this place tomorrow morning when I am ready to go home. Next morning: woken up at 7:10am sleep study done. Will know outcome in 2weeks stated the nice friendly lab tech. You are all set to go just fill up the questionnaire before you do. I thanked him and hurriedly dressed up to leave. The bed was kinda hard coupled with all the wire hookups from head to toe I won't say I had the best sleep last night. I remember waking up and tossing and turning quite a bit, and normally I sleep like a log. But overall I slept. That is what I came here to do. I will probably go home and go back to a few hrs sleep. But then again I may not because after driving for the next 33 miles I think I would wake up totally. Overall, nice clean and quiet place. And it is a cancer institute. So if I know anyone with cancer I will surely recommend this place.

From the initial phone call for scheduling to the check in and MRI tech, everyone was kind, pleasant, and truly helpful. The building is handicap accessible and has a nice waiting room (although, as with every waiting room, I wish the tv was quieter). Best of all: an OPEN MRI is available! FINALLY!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. :)

I went through hours of getting a MRI scheduled. All was set for tomorrow until early this morning…read morethey called and cancelled me. They have the equipment to do the MRI but their radiologist doesn't want to take the time. I've done blood work etc. for the MRI. I'd not agree to have anything done in their radiology department ever after this experience. Terrible service & language barriers to top it off.
