First for a scheduled aneurysm flow diverter placement by Dr. Kreitel with one night in neuro ICU. Two months later for a brain bleed from a skiing accident when I stayed overnight in neuro ICU again. Excellent care again by ER staff and neuro ICU nurses. Two days later I stayed another night for a suspected brain rebleed... I don't know how ER staff handles the chaos. Nearby a man threatened 3 security guards & a nurse. They took care of it and In think maybe he was arrested, not sure. Anyway I share this because I was originally taken by ambulance to Bronson where they removed my C Collar, plopped me in a wheelchair where I couldn't hold my head up...and it turns out I sat there ignored with a subarachnoid hemorrhage...That was after I told them my helmet was cracked in 1/2, I was on blood thinners and needed a stat CT to rule out a bleed cuz I had brain surgery 2 months prior... Bronson ignored me so I had my son come get me, called Borgess neurosurgery who ordered a brain CT, then admitted to Borgess. At this point, I'm team Borgess all the way.

They sent a gentleman in to see if he could help get it manually and he was Rooting around in there like he was cleaning the frosting bowl from a cake mix. I was screaming in so much pain and yelled get your shit out of there or I'm fucking you up he did. The the doctor came in and said you need an enema, I said no I don't I'm not full I take mirelax everyday since 2008 he says nope your packed, and even after I said that they gave me one anyways. After the enema I was on the toilet going in the room for 2 hours and 10 minutes. The nurse kept saying one thing the whole time are you done yet. I was in so much pain screaming and when it was over I was crying and I could barely walk they said you can go now. I limped out of the hospital without one doctor or nurse asking if I need a chair. The next day I was in major pain and was scared to go back to pennock, I fought it out. The next day major pain again the same time as the day before, I had no choice but to go to pennock I don't drive I have no friends or family. The paramedics were starting to yell at me and I was afraid of them now to. When I got there to pennock they said they didn't know what was wrong with me and said they couldn't help that I need to leave and not come back then called security to escort me out. Going on two years in pain everyday because of pennock no doctor is helping me, the doctor said that did this now works at Bronson. I was kicked out of Bronson, hays green beech I have no hospitals where I can get home from. I need help and not getting what any human being deserves for medical attention. I went to Ultimate medical academy to find out what was wrong. It took 15 months and 3 weeks college to find out from the time it happened, when he gave me the enema which he didn't he left before the procedure someone else started and finished, that I was so empty and they put in so much in that it gave me two hernias and broke the hook under my rib cage that holds that intestine. The intestine is now laying on top of my groin and it's laying on my sperm tubes and pea tube, I can barely pea and when the fecies gets close there it sends electric shock through my bottom half and when it's all the way it weights down my sperm tubes and pulls my balls up in to my body stretching my sperm tubes to the point it creates knots and it hurts really really bad. If anyone can help me please do so in a timely manner. I have no one else. Please!

The Urgent Care wait time used to be long, but they have addressed that by opening a new location in Zeeland. My experience was made even better because I just sensed a kindness in the place, even though they were often quite busy. The staff seem to enjoy their jobs and people smile in the hallways and say hello. That goes a long way with me. I have had great medical experiences other places, but the kindness here made me feel like I was in good hands.

At first it will seem like a nice environment to work in but the more you observe and listen to what's happening around you, you will soon realize you won't fit in unless you're white. Kristi Goolsby made a lot of racist remarks to me and my two friends at my time of employment there. I was told I couldnt speak Spanish to my co worker or any other language other than English because to her it was "unprofessional" and so called "dangerous". One time I talked about going to Mexico to visit my family and she directly said "Im not sure how you do it there... I get to scared thinking about it because those kind of people are dangerous savages" One time KRISTI GOOLSBY noticed I was acting off. She asked me what's wrong and I told her I was worried for my family in Mexico because there was a flood in my pueblo. She acted sympathetic and I thought she changed her ways. I was wrong. Later that shift before I left she mustve not realized I was around or anyone because I hear her talking to a coworker saying she wished the floor would've taken my people because of how dangerous we are. Crazy right?? Well there's more that's just the start. Later on my other friend called off for personal reasons. Kristi Goolsby brought her into the dish room and told her she wasn't allowed to call off (we have 3 call offs a year btw this was her first) because she has a job. My friend explained it was a personal matter. Goolsby goes on to tell her "Your parents didn't leave their country just for you to throw your life down the drain" because she called one day off.... my friend being her is NOT going to tolerate disrespect so she kindly said that it was her last day after hearing that. Krisiti later come to me the next day saying my friend quit and I said I already knew and she rudely said "how" I said because were friends and then demanded to know what we talked about and see my phone. As well as cornering me to see my phone after telling her no multiple times. if you didn't think it could get crazier it gets crazier.... Later on I got a new coworker. We instantly had a connection and a became super close friends. we would order Starbucks or breakfast for eachpther during our BREAKS together. Goolby said we weren't allowed when we were because it was during break time not work time. See how crazy this manager is?? anyways. My friend was trying to add her mom to her insurance since the insurance at our work place was pretty good. she asked the manager for some help and goolsby responded with "why? is your mom unemployed or a deadbeat? why doesn't she have insurance does she not have a job?" which is super inappropriate. Aswell as adding your mom too a better insurance is a good thing not something to belittle someone for. One day the fridge dropped temapture and malfunctioned caused all the goods to go out. Me and my friend got yelled at for not paying attention but yet there was a lunch rush and it wasn't OUR job to do that since it wasn't on our list because goolsby insist we don't help each other out and only do our own list. we did exactly what she asked for. like how is a malfunction our fault? You're probably wondering if we ever went to HR about this. the answer is yes. several times. Me and my friend went together actually ask spoke to Julie Marroquin. She took our notes seriously. She conducted an investigation and said she would talk to some leads and other coworkers. Even during that time me and my friend would go to Julie Marroquin or email her about every incident so we would have proof. Kristi Goolsby found out what was happening and cried saying she didn't do it and took a day off. aww you got caught. During this time she would make smart remarks and retaliate towards me and my friend. After 1-3 weeks. Julie Marroquin didn't take our word seriously and blamed me and my friend for making everything up. We shortly quit after since everyone was making us miserable. Later to find out that the Leads were BRIBED to lie about us and said Kristi did nothing wrong event ho they knew it wasn't right. There is so much more to say but I hope you guys get the idea... this place does not care about you unless you have power.

    I was a patient on the 2nd floor for a week during April 2022. During my stay, all those who cared…read morefor me were wonderful. There were a few individuals who really stood out as going above and beyond. I would like to share the ways they helped to make my hospital stay more comfortable. There were several individuals in and out of my room to clean. All were friendly and did a wipe down of some surfaces, swept and emptied trash bins. There was one young lady named Arin however who disinfected every surface in the room. She wiped down the chairs, doorknobs, bedside table and every other exposed surface, and did all her cleaning in a timely manner. I was very impressed with her thoroughness. She made me feel that the room was really well sanitized. Marcia and Bree were two nursing techs who stood out above the rest. They seemed to know and respond to what I needed before I knew myself. They were so on top of things, always making sure my water cup was filled, I had what I needed for hygiene and comfort, communicating my thoughts, questions and concerns to the nurses and the doctor, and striving to provide a level of comfort that is difficult to find as a hospital patient. I found the respiratory staff to be among the finest that have cared for me. I have chronic respiratory issues and have stayed in other hospital facilities over the past several years, but Alicia, Dan and Garrett really stood out. My first night was difficult as I couldn't catch my breath and the oxygen tube to my nose did not seem to help. I can't remember at this time what it was called, but Dan set me up with a mask system that included moisture and pulled air in from the room as well as providing the doctor's recommended level of oxygen. I was finally able to breathe with this, which was not only a great relief physically, but also calmed my nerves so that I could rest. One thing that stood out was that while he worked with me, he explained everything he was doing and how it should work, keeping my mind occupied. This comforted me (no matter how many times I go through it, it is still very scary not to be able to breathe without fighting for each breath) and calmed both my respiration and my emotions. When I was able, he introduced me to exercises to open and strengthen my lungs. As he did this he made sure that my thoughts and feelings were heard and validated. Alicia's manner was similar and each time she worked with me she also was able to put me at ease with her calm, engaging way of providing information about what was going on with my breathing and oxygen levels. Her nurturing manner cultivated a level of comfort that, again, was so welcome in the hospital setting. Garrett first helped out in the ER, and I was impressed with his precision when he tested my level of blood gasses. His focus and ability to hit just the right spot made for a pain free experience. All of the respiratory staff did good work as they took me through my breathing treatments and exercises, but these three really stood out to me as demonstrating excellence. I found the nursing staff to be top notch, and all were knowledgeable, caring and efficient. Yet Mariah sticks with me as being extra attentive and compassionate. When dealing with other issues on the floor she made sure that I was informed by other staff members if there would be any delays or changes in my care. With her, I felt that I was on top of what was happening in my day-to-day routine as an inpatient. It was obvious that all of the folks mentioned above take their positions very seriously and are dedicated to going over and above to care for others. As I said before, everyone I encountered on the Cameron staff was wonderful. I just wanted to make it known that the ones mentioned above really stand out and rank above excellent.     My Father had a seizure around5:15 amm on (today) 2.19.25. He was transported to Corewell…read moreHealth/Lakeland by ambulance around 5:40 am on 2.19.25. My father lives approximately 10minutess from Lakeland. So he arrived before 6 am. A bit of history - My Father has alcohol-induced/alcohol withdrawal seizures. He has been hospitalized at Corewell Health/Lakeland more than 5 times for this over the past year. Each time he's admitted, his wife and/or I arrive at the hospital very quickly to be with him and to provide the nurses/staff with information surrounding the seizure and medical history. This includes the fact that if he's not treated quickly, he will have another seizure. Which the staff ignores and waits to treat him until he has the 2nd seizure and then responds with "You said that would happen". Unfortunately today (2.19.25), neither his wife nor myself was able to arrive close to the time he was admitted into the ER at Corewell Health/Lakeland. I did not arrive to Corewell Health/Lakeland until 7:30am. When I arrived, my Father was admitted to ER # room 28. There seemed to be a huddle of ERs staff preparing to start their shift and receiving updates. I proceeded to ER room # 28. When I entered the room, much to my surprise my Father laid calmly on the bed with his baseball cap on his head. I tried to question him about the baseball cap, and he complained about a burn on his leg. He was not hooked up to an IV and the burn was exposed and untreated. He sustained this burn during his seizure from falling out of bed and on a heater. The exposed burn was extremely troubling due to the risk of infection. A few facts on seizure patients - after a seizure the patient typically feels confused, discombobulated, and disoriented. My father has experienced all of the above with each seizure and admission. After noticing the cap, seeing the exposed burn, and seeing no IV, I immediately went to speak with a nurse/staff to ask about my Father's care and treatment plans. I was directed to speak with two male nurses who were assigned to his treatment. One of the male nurses was Alex M. They said the night nurse said my Father pulled the leg covering off and the IV out however but he was given meds to prevent another seizure and they were heading to him to redo what he had done. I thanked them and waited in ER room # 28 with my Father but found no evidence of a bandage being pulled off or an IV ever being put in. When the male nurses arrived to the room, they treated the burn and put in an IV. They were accompanied by a female nurse/staff who had a purse/crossbag on which seemed very unsafe and unsanitary. The time was close to 7:45 am. Shortly after, a male Doctor came in the room and asked me the typical questions and I again provided everything I knew about my Father's history. I figured his medical history is in his My Chart however I understand with the busyness of the ER, the Doctor might not have gotten the chance to read his history. At 8:50 am Emily Nelson came into my father's room, did not ask many questions, and stated he was going to be released soon. This seemed a bit rushed and premature. My Father was still very disoriented. Not five minutes after Emily left the room, my Father began to show signs of another seizure. I quickly ran for help and the male Doctor quickly came to aid my Father. He asked my Father some questions in which my Father could not formulate words to answer. The male Doctor didn't give my Father meds but sent Alex in and Alex provided treatment. Sometime after Alex provided treatment, my Father said he needed to use the restroom and proceeded to get out of the bed to walk. I pushed the nurse call button for help because my Father was still disoriented, very shaky and had a wobbly walk, and almost fell. Alex helped him to the restroom and back but shortly after My father needed to go to the restroom again and had an accident on himself and the bedding. I asked for help again and a female staff named Ally came to assist and help him to the restroom. I had already informed Ally of the mess made on the bedding. Ally returned my Father to the room without cleaning him, removing his unclean underwear, or cleaning the bedding. I quickly stopped her and said he has to be cleaned, the bedding needs to be changed, and he needs new undergarments. Very snappy Ally responded saying "I tried, he wouldn't let me". I explained to Ally that he absolutely had to be cleaned, given new undergarments, and the bedding must be changed. I also explained to my Father that he had to allow Ally to help him and get him all cleaned up. She began to help him and I stepped out and stood by the door to respect his privacy. The other male nurse asked me "Does she need help in there" and I assured him "yes". Ally said to the male nurse "I already washed his A**". I was sick with the treatment & feared leaving my Father after they said they wanted him to stay a night or so. Alex was so kind.
