Acura West

Haven't had a great experience with their sales team, but service department has been amazing for…read morethe most part. I was looking to purchase an Acura a few years ago, and my experience was pretty bad with Acura West. However that was a long time ago, and much more recently I had been going for a long time to their service department, and that's what I"m mostly focusing on in this review. I live in Toronto, and while visiting my parents, I would have the folks at Acura West's service department look at issues that were covered under my car's warranty. Their customer service in the Service department can't be compared to what I've experienced in numerous dealerships in Toronto & Etobicoke. Whenever you have an issue that should be covered under warranty, they will look at it without risk of charging you to look at it, where-as in Toronto they will threaten to charge you if they end up finding out that the issue doesn't end up being covered under warranty upon their investigation. The best part is that prior to purchasing my Acura, I had a Honda Civic, and I received better service for my Honda than I did for my Acura in Toronto. Above not having to worry about costs, if they need to keep your car for a while and their shuttle isn't available (such as on a week-end when their shuttle service is closed), they offer a courtesy vehicle. No one in Toronto has as much as considered doing this for me for warranty work. The service manager Larry Fantin is very reasonable and a pleasure to work with. He's the initial person I got to speak to when I called the service department for the first time, and he assured me I'd be well taken care of as I had been ever since that point. I've had some minor misunderstandings with one of the individuals in the service department, but considering the over-all experience, I'd definitely return to this top of the line service department. Hats off to them :-)

Dale Downie Nissan - My first car!!

Dale Downie Nissan

Unprofessional Experience at Nissan south London…read more This review is about more than just a car -- it's about how we were treated by the manager, Amin, whose behavior drove us to walk away from a deal we were ready to make. We went to this dealership after seeing a car listed on Kijiji. When we arrived, we were told it had just been sold for cash. Later, when we refused a more expensive vehicle, suddenly the original car was available again -- clearly a bait tactic. But the real issue wasn't the car -- it was the manager's complete disregard for us as customers. Throughout our visit, he walked past us several times without a greeting, eye contact, or even an acknowledgment that we existed. We asked multiple times to speak to him, and were told "you deal with me, not the manager." A manager should be present, professional, and involved -- not hiding behind staff while customers are left in confusion. He finally appeared only after we said we would leave a review, and by then, it was too late. The damage was done. He tried to shake hands as if everything was normal -- but there was no apology, no ownership, and no explanation for the lack of respect. We were ready to make a deal, even gave our Visa for a deposit, and let them test-drive our car for 15-20 minutes. But when a manager acts as if he's too important to speak to people spending thousands of dollars at his business, it tells you everything you need to know. A dealership is only as good as its leadership -- and this manager failed. He made us feel invisible and unwelcome. We walked out not because of the price, but because of the lack of human decency. To management: Train your staff to be honest, humble, and professional. A dealership is not just about selling cars -- it's about trust. And we lost all trust the moment we stepped in.

Hilariously poor service. Service Advisor claimed my confirmed appointment didn't exist, with sas,…read moreand failed to look into it or reschedule. I couldn't help but laugh; how can they maintain a franchise license like this? Everytime the car is in they talk all this "added value" like topping up fluids and checking tire pressure... but they never actually do it. Only once did they rinse it, after me light heartedly calling them out (still no fluid top up). Five staff were all bumming around smoking as we drove off (looped around the back) with big smirks as they looked right at me; like I was the but of a joke or something. Real class act guys; thanks. Is it so wrong to want a safe vehicle for my wife and kid? We only spent $30,000.00 with Nissan and got the loaded warranty... guess that's not enough to be treated with respect here. Makes me feel like a chump. Incompetent and hostile on the offset sums this place up.

Woodfield has tackled them all. They actually listen to your concerns and work hard addressing them. Most of my automotive problems could not be addressed by simply looking in the manual. Woodfield knows the manual and they also know that you have to not be afraid to think outside the box because not all the answers can be found in the manual. You will be given an honest opinion/recommendation on repair but not made to feel pressured into anything. And when possible, I have been given alternatives that may be more budget friendly. They even called in the big guns to consult on a particularly difficult case that most others would have fobbed off. They are conveniently located on Adelaide Street and have nice size lot. The lead mechanic is able, knowledgeable, and loves what he is doing and it shows. He comes with mechanics in his blood. The manager is just as able and knowledgeable and I feel confident speaking with either her or the mechanic. The remaining two mechanics are courteous and helpful, and any time I have been there, have always been focused and detailed in their work. I'd say you get what you pay for but they have always gone above and beyond in my repairs. my vehicles they have serviced thus far: SmartCar diesel Toyota RAV4 Subaru Outback and more yet to come........
