I was diagnosed with ulcerative proctitis and thyroiditis in August 2017. I was under the care of a…read moregastroenterologist and an endocrinologist, both of whom are experts in their field but each only concerned with the symptoms related to their disciplines. I knew I needed to find a medical professional to help me understand and manage my conditions (both of which were causing me some serious problems) and to address the root cause of the disorders, as I believed them to be related. I began seeing Dr. Trish Pearce in September 2017 and I continue to see her on a monthly basis. Dr. Pearce's expertise in the treatment of autoimmune digestive and thyroid disorders has been invaluable to me. First of all, I am such a skeptic, don't believe in this at all AND I hate needles. I had been…read moresuffering with muscle pain in my right arm due to repeated use during my volunteer work. I visited my doctor in early December when I became so uncomfortable because of the pain. I could not push open a heavy door or lift anything even just somewhat heavy. I couldn't reach behind me and the pain woke me as I slept. My doctor recommended PT and I met with a therapist in January, where I was given several exercises and directions to attempt to ease my pain. I found some relief but not enough. I was still taking Tylenol and Aleve in an effort to function and to sleep. In May, a gentleman where I volunteered told me acupuncture helped him greatly. Still skeptical , I mentioned this to a relative and she encouraged me to give it a try since her husband went to Frank Grill and found this treatment to be remarkably helpful. So I went , less than enthusiastically, but I found both Angela and Frank Grill assured me that this could indeed work. The "happy ending" is this.
