Honestly I never get my nails done anymore, but the staff here was fantastic at providing me with guidance in choosing my nail choice during this visit. So much so that I went ahead and also treated myself to a deluxe pedicure! The prices were very typical $20-$35 for pedicure depending on which option. I went with a full set of tips with a gel paint. I was very happy with my nail esthetician's attention to detail...she managed to make my Manish hands actually appear feminine. The female middle aged nail technician rushed me while I attempted to pick a color for my nails. During my manicure the nail technician kept aggressively repositioning my arms and moving my fingers out of the way in a very hostile manner. I was horrified. She made it apparent she was irritated with me and how inflexible my fingers and arms were. I couldn't leave fast enough. I'm driving far away to return to my previous nail technician who never had difficulty with me in this way. I gave her 1 star because the end result wasn't horrible read more

This is a nice hidden gem. The good: People are very nice and not expensive. Clean and updated. They go out of their way so that you're happy with their service and they ask as the service is going along if you like what/how they're doing it. I wanted my gel manicure to be French and that's a little harder with gel nails yet I had no issues. My pedicure was enjoyable and I really have no complains. The ONLY bad: I only gave it a four star because it's hard to get a spot in the tiny parking lot. If you come around dinner good luck. This is NOT a reflection on their service or their facility.. Just an annoyance since they're situated between two restaurants. Wish I could only knock half star. read more

I got a basic pedicure. I came in with gel on my toenails and she filed all of the polish off instead of filing some and letting them soak in remover. One of my toenails hurt because of how aggressive she was. Between of the aggressive filing with the machine and her using an instrument to dig underneath my toenails I said "ouch!" several times. Seemed hurried. She didn't push my cuticles back or trim them. I had to ask for her to cut my toe nails and she did not shape them with a hand file after cutting them. (She didn't cut every toenail even though they were all long, only some?) The skin on the bottom of my feet was mildly filed, leaving them tougher than when I came in. Some of my nails were left with globs of nail polish on them. When I went to check out, I was charged five dollars more because they removed the gel. I've never heard of this and it wasn't disclosed. Highly disappointed because Facebook reviews were good on the community page. I will not be back. read more

I understand it's a tough time for most businesses right now but when I left oakville nails I was extremely upset with how unprofessional the staff were. They wouldn't listen to my mom asking for them to buff out the lumps in her nails and were very rude when it came to criticism of their work. My hands and wrist were pushed down and tossed all over the place during the experience and I was told to relax when it was hurting. Our nails looked horrible at the end. If you go don't get dip nails. Oh and they would stop and start others people's nail come back to me without washing or sanitizing their hands. read more

I had a few nails that the acrylic had come off and either broke my natural nails or I had shaped my natural nail to an almond shape. I came to this place because I was recommended by a friend - and I'm left wondering if that was a good idea. Decent atmosphere, and the prices are great, but my manicure left much to be desired! I got a $12 manicure, with the $5 upcharge for a French tip (which seems like a pretty high upcharge to me) and while my cuticles looked great and the massage was awesome, my nail shapes are kind of wonky, the French tip doesn't even cover the actual white part of my nails, and the top coat is so bubbly that it feels like I have lizard nails and looks like some kind of gross nail disease. Bummer because I was looking for a great nail salon in the area at my poor girl prices - next time I'll shell out the extra $2 per manicure at a place with more established reviews. read more

This is unfortunately the first negative review I've ever felt I needed to leave. I used to come here fairly often, once every month or so, and decided to revisit after moving to a different area. Unfortunately I was met with a lot of unkind attitude and unsafe practices. Colors were limited so I kindly asked if they might have the color I was looking for and maybe it just wasn't on the rack, just in case. The woman (who I'm assuming is the owner, not sure) was snarky in her response and said "I don't know, go look on the wall". Then after realizing I had been sitting for a while, the same woman yelled at her daughter to fill up the foot basin of the pedicure chair she wanted me to sit at. The young woman turned on the water while my feet were in the basin, however the water was way too hot and I was scalded. Understandably an accident, however it wasn't followed up with any apology but rather statements like "it's fine, you're fine" from the woman after I visibly reacted and had to pull my feet out of the water quickly. I was cut several times with the cuticle nippers, which sure, can happen. However it got to the point where my blood was pretty visibly on the towel underneath my feet. Then while checking out, the woman stopped another woman's pedicure to come run my card at the front desk, and touched not one but both of my debit/credit cards with soaking wet hands from someone else's pedicure. All this after she insisted on me finding another card when her machine was running slow rather than problem solving on their end. She would repeatedly swipe my cards, and had me enter my pin several times, worrying me that my account was thus being charged multiple times, and on both cards at that. I'm hoping that this was just just an off day, but unfortunately I won't be returning and can't really suggest them to anyone else anymore. read more

Got a dip manicure but did not receive the good "manicure" experience I receive at other salons. No massage, no lotion used, no cuticle gel. The lady was rough with filing my nails. Came here as I had a hair appointment in the same shopping center. They were not busy at all. So I gave it a shot. I normally get gel manicures as they last longer and my nails are thin to begin with. Unfortunately I need a certain color done that they didn't have in gel. So I used a normal color. They lady did not tell before hand that it would be an extra $5 to remove the gel polish from my nails. My normal salon wouldn't have charged me. So after removing the gel she rushed through my manicure and didn't cut my cuticles. And when I asked for an extra coat of polish and she charged me! Not happy at all! So for a $12 manicure turned into a $20 manicure! I could have went down the street to my usual place and paid $24 for a gel manicure. Lesson learned! Ask and verify pricing before they even start! read more

This place is inconsistent. I got a mani pedi two weeks ago and had a great experience however when I told the older woman I just wanted a regular mani she scolded me for not getting gel or acrylic and passed me off the a sweet young lady- thank God! The younger lady was great! However... I came in for a second time and asked for just a mani and this time the older woman did it. She did my nails worse than I could've done them and didn't even put lotion on my hands or file my nails completely. It was a terrible experience. Don't think I'll be coming back... read more

The middle age young man who "manages" the store is very abrupt and unfriendly. His wife, however, is a gem. I went recently for a plain manicure and pedicure. I like to go over to a table for my manicure but because of people coming in, my manicurist stood at the pedicure location and gave me my manicure which was not relaxing nor comfortable. I was pleased with the pedicure but will not be back. The manager needs to learn how to welcome and thank customers. He lets his wife do that and I don't like it. He runs the show. read more
