It must have been how I said "my mom died and I don't know what to do," his reply was kind and patient. "It's okay, that's why we're here," Bill responded. Even the man that answered from Bill's "answering service" was kind and patient. We made our appointment that night and he guided us through everything with such unbelievable patience!! From start to finish he and his mother Loi (Low-ie) were amazing!! It started with making the appointment to talk about arrangements. We met at 6:00 pm and were late because we went to the home in Stanton instead of Sheridan. Even though we were late, he met with us and didn't seem the least bit frustrated. Then he waited and waited for all my sisters and our dad to get there (dad had to pull over a few times to compose himself). At this appointment, Bill and his mom guided us through all the steps to plan out the perfect funeral for mom. When we didn't know how to answer a question Bill would patiently tell us "what some people do," or what is "traditional." His guidance was phenomenal and always right when needed. We never once felt rushed or like we were taking too much time. Bill wrote the obituary that night and we approved it. Then he took us into a room to choose a casket and vault. Before talking about price we just planned what we knew would be perfect. He has a few packages that really simplified things and we for sure took advantage of one. When all was said and done we didn't leave that appointment until nearly 9 pm. The days to follow we bombarded Bill and Loi with pictures, emails, phone calls, and planning. As a part of our package, Bill was designing a DVD of pictures to play throughout the viewing and it would be made available to purchase by friends and family, so pictures were necessary! I loved that I didn't have to worry about making display boards of pictures and bringing in framed pictures etc. that would all be covered with this video. Of course there was some family drama which I prayed would be avoided but wasn't and Bill and Loi handled it with the greatest grace. Everything we requested was done with perfection!! Right down to the red vault lid and silver roses and name plaque. Words simply cannot express the gratitude I have for Bill and Loi during this time. If you or a loved one needs to utilize these services emergently or if you're looking to pre-plan, I HIGHLY recommend using Simpson's Family Funeral Homes!! I know I will!

She was considerate my mother's needs (and indecisiveness on moving). Sonja educated me about what my options were in various assisted living levels, as well as what aspects in a facility I should be considering. She even helped me plan a driving route for my site visits and set up appointments. A few sites were surprised by my visit, so there is an opportunity to better confirm appointments, but I suspect that the disconnect was at a facility, not at Eldercare. Overall, for those faced with this difficult and often traumatic process, I would highly recommend contacting Crossroads for a low-pressure process, but with very knowledgeable staff!

A few old cars and trucks sitting about only add to the atmosphere. If you are lucky enough to meet George you will have a chuckle. Super nice guy with a sense of humor, looks like a cross between Robin Williams and a garden gnome. Loves to talk and knows every nut and bolt on the machines. Found them to be very honest and helpful. When you pay your bill you know you got your money's worth.
