My poor 5 year old had been through so much in a short span of 5 months. 3 different schools, that the district recommended to get the correct placement for him!! You know how exhausting and scary that was for my son. He's still a baby! Anyhow came to this awful school only to have my son traumatized and mistreated the first day of school!!!!!!!! The teacher came to talk to my son to introduce herself in the morning while standing in line outside. My husband was on the phone finishing up a call, when he realized in the corner of his eye, the teacher on knee level grabbing my son viciously by his chin and said "look at me when I speak to you"!!!!!!!!! My son, as well as many others that have autism, struggle to make eye contact! She of all people should know that!!! But I guess not, this school just hires anyone! If she had the proper training she would know how to treat and approach children with autism and be patient and understanding! Heres the other kicker, the principal had her back, no consequences, no punishment what so ever for her teacher. They give consequences to all kids there, even with autism but oh NO! NOT THERE CoWORKERS! She made many excuses saying that she didn't mean it and a bunch of bs. Im like how do you know she did not mean it you were not there!!!! And stop speaking for a grown woman, you do not need to make excuses for her disgusting disrespectful behavior! Imagine what goes on behind those doors, where they are vulnerable without their parent to help them communicate No patience, or understanding for them, just anger low patience, aggression and hostility for those poor children. Horrible school do not send your child to a school like this, that can let abuse happen and look the other way! Teachers, principals, and even yard duty can be bullies too!

Oh no not their adult teachers, counselors, security could ever make mistakes. What a joke, they are hypocrites and liars. The principal condones bullying. She told my daughter that she should basically let it go when it came to some girls taunting her, and making insults to her. Her response to my daughter, when my daughter cried to her, was it wasn't really bullying because it was one time! Just one time! Thats whats wrong with these schools! People in charge like her! My daughter came to her a nervous wreck, emotionally distraught, vulnerable and opening up her feelings to an adult she's supposed to be able to come to for problems because I'm not there! She completely disregarded my daughter's feelings as not a big deal and did not do anything to those girls picking on my daughter! Im completely disgusted with the staff here. She is something else (in kinder words) you wanna know her ridiculous lame comment she made when I pulled my daughter out of her bully school? She laughed out loud to her secretaries, saying "why would anyone want to leave this school it's the best school BUT we wish Sarah good luck at her new school." Bully for a principal smh

Getting out of the student parking lot was sometimes kind of hard. The football games are all played at live oak because we're not allowed to put up lights. The bathrooms are really nasty.... the library needs more books. There's alot of gum on the ground. They need more techanical/career training classes. They need more counselors and or advisors. There's a cranky lady that works the reception desk at the counseling office lol. they got rid of the best XC coach this school ever had. The boys locker rooms are really nasty. Don't swim during the swimming part of PE it's a big hassle. There's alot of clubs but u can always start one. There's a very strong attitude about doing well here. You will see it in alot of kids and every teacher. They have a good after school program with tutors if your struggling. There's a big amount of support coming from everybody. It's a great school and I enjoyed my time here and I'm glad I was able to come here.

However I gave the school one star because of the faculty and administrators. I was bullied throughout my time at Ann Sobrato High School. One specific incident happened during my senior year where an unknown student wrote my full name and phone number and a horrible note about me on the cement wall in the quad. When me and my mom went to administration about it nothing was done. We specifically talked to Mr. Miller. There was absolutely nothing done about this. A couple weeks later when I went to him to ask if he had found who did it he told me that the surveillance footage had deleted itself. I did not feel safe at this school. I'm feeling the urge to write this today because I just recently returned to Sobrato to get my transcripts. In the Counceling Center a man waited about five minutes before approaching me, when he did he was extremely condescending. Even now as an adult I was treated poorly by the administration at Ann Sobrato High School. Walking out I saw a sign that said "no bullying zone" which is laughable. If you send your child here please compensate for the schools lack of care for your child and their mental health.

We have had the pleasure of having our son attend ABC Learning Montessori since he was 2 years old,…read moreand it has been an incredible experience watching him grow and develop. Now that he's in the 4-year-old classroom, we are impressed with his progress both academically and socially. A few highlights for our son is the day there are blueberry muffins and afternoon activities, particularly story time, art, and outdoor play. He often asks to stay longer when I pick him up! He also makes a point to say goodbye to his teachers. At home, he often plays pretend, reenacting circle time and even doing "paperwork," mimicking what he sees and learns! We've also been amazed by how well he's learned practical life skills through their "Montessori jobs." One of his favorites is folding towels, which is a great example of independence and responsibility. He will be learning to tie shoelaces in the 4-year-olds curriculum too! His academic progress is equally impressive. Thanks to the director Diana, who has over two decades of experience, our son has excelled beyond our expectations--he knows numbers 1-100, the alphabet, can read/write 2-3 syllable words, identify shapes and colors, and more that you would see in kindergarten academics. The price point is also very competitive compared to other daycares in the area, which was one factor for us. We didn't expect to have a parent community for us when we joined, but the staff hosts potlucks throughout the year for holidays/celebrations and have a streamlined process for hosting your kid's birthday lunch if desired. We couldn't be happier with the foundation they've helped build for our son's future.
