I called ahead to advise I was lost and running several minutes behind and the person over the phone was so helpful in guiding me with directions and could probably tell I was frazzled. When I arrived finally Ashley was patiently waiting and very helpful and also just had something about her that made me feel instantly comfortable. That loyalty made my most recent visit all the more disappointing. I had a 10:50am appointment. The day before, Felicia texted asking if I could push to 11am. I said I'd try to rearrange my plans. She replied: "let's keep the 10:45." I managed to move things around (because if she was asking, I figured she was in need, and I wanted to help) and arrived at 10:57 -- 7 minutes late by the original booking, not 15. When I walked in, Felicia told me I was 15 minutes late. I explained I'd rearranged my schedule to accommodate her request. She shrugged and said "too bad, I already booked someone afterwards.". It wasn't until I was in the room that I checked the reminder email -- original appointment: 10:50. So by her own scheduler, I was 7 minutes late, not 15. Felicia eventually gave me an extra 5 minutes to make up for the mix-up, and I appreciated that. But the cold, dismissive way she started the appointment stayed with me. That's not how you treat someone who's followed you for 15 years. Part of why I see Felicia specifically -- and not one of those high-volume places with curtain walls and hospital beds for tables (you know the ones) -- is the whole experience. A facial should be calming and restorative, and Felicia's warmth has always been as much a part of that as her technique. When that warmth disappeared at the door, it colored everything that followed. The facial itself was top notch. Felicia is genuinely skilled, stays current on products and techniques, and can deliver a top-notch treatment in her sleep. I hope this was an off day, because the person that greeted me at the door was not the warm person that I've been loyal to for a decade and a half.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with this studio as a first-time customer. I made the…read moreappointment the same morning, approximately 30 minutes before the appointment time, so this was not an appointment I'd had scheduled for days or weeks, nor had I ever been to this location before. I was literally trying to find the studio for the first time. They have a seven-minute grace period, which is unusually strict, particularly given how difficult their location is to navigate. I was not given clear instructions about where to park. Once you arrive, there is no sign identifying the studio by its name anywhere that I could see. The building signage/directory was in Korean, and I could not find English signage identifying the studio. As someone who does not read Korean and had never been there before, I had no obvious way of knowing where the business was located. I called approximately eight minutes after my appointment time while I was already parking and explained that I was there and that finding the parking had been confusing. I was told that my appointment had already been canceled because they only offer a seven-minute grace period. So, to be clear: I was a first-time customer who had booked approximately 30 minutes earlier, was physically at the location and parking, and was ONE MINUTE beyond their grace period--and they had already canceled my appointment. On top of that, they never notified me that they canceled it. No call. No text. Nothing. Had I not called them myself, I would have parked, gone inside, tried to navigate a building where their studio was not clearly identified to me, and apparently only then discovered that my appointment had been canceled. I completely understand businesses having late policies. What I don't understand is having such a rigid seven-minute cutoff while providing a first-time customer with inadequate information for navigating an unfamiliar and confusing location--and then offering absolutely no understanding or flexibility when that customer is already there and parking one minute beyond the cutoff. The way the phone conversation was handled was probably the most disappointing part. There was no attempt to understand the situation, help, accommodate me, or even acknowledge the confusion. It was simply that my appointment had already been canceled. The interaction came across as dismissive and unnecessarily rude. Policies are one thing; customer service is another. If you're going to have an unusually strict seven-minute grace period, then provide first-time customers with exceptionally clear parking and arrival instructions and notify them if you're canceling their appointment. A little communication, courtesy, and reasonable flexibility would have completely changed this experience. Instead, they lost a brand-new customer before I ever even made it through the door. I will not be returning.

What I have an issue with is their communication. I had an appointment booked today and even received a email to confirm 2 days before which I responded to immediately. To my surprise, when I show up to my appointment, the receptionist tells me the sugarist wasn't there and they tried to call me to reschedule my appointment. I actually never received any calls, texts, or emails from them.The receptionist claimed they couldn't leave me a voicemail. I seriously doubt they ever tried to contact me to reschedule! There was no other sugarist who could wax me, the only option they gave me was to reschedule me for a different date. There's nothing ruder than wasting someone else's time! This could have easily been avoided and they could have retained a customer if they didn't drop the ball with communication.
