Moved to West Hollywood and needed a new waxing place, and found Waxology on Yelp. From the second you walk in, it's clear that this gorgeous oasis is a place to be comfortable, and not scared of the potential pain coming to your various parts. Raven at the front desk couldn't have been nicer, sending me off in seconds with Roxanne, my waxer. Giiiiiirl, Roxanne was fantastic. It was an almost pain free wax, and the sensitive parts were not nearly as bad because of the hilarious conversation I was having with her the entire time. She spent extra time really making sure everything was gone; surgical precision for real. I've honestly never had a better wax. Despite the fact that Waxology sells tons of products and has a wide range of services, including a subscription package, they didn't push a single service on me on my way out -- in fact, they let me know that as a new customer my next service was buy one, get one free, and marked the more expensive one as the free one. Cannot wait to come back, which as anyone will tell you, is usually not how you feel when it comes to having hair ripped out of your follicles. read more

The establishment seemed fine enough. Calling in for an appointment was easy and they were ready on time. The office was clean and the technician was friendly. Unfortunately that's where my praise ends. I went in for a waxing. Had a very specific conversation with the technician about what I wanted and where. He seemed to understand everything that I said, but the job he did on me was a total mess. He went way higher in one area than I had asked him too, and the other he didn't do enough. I'm honestly embarrassed with how it looks. Preparing to see my partner for a special trip, and I had to warn him about the hack job. Wish I had never gone to Waxology. UPDATE: The manager reached out to me over the phone and was very apologetic about my experience. She was incredibly sincere and understanding about my situation and did her best to make the situation right. I definitely appreciated her outreach and professionalism. Love this place! Aimee has been doing my lashes for years and I love her, she's excellent, consistent, and quick! I also just had the facial w microdermabrasion and it was amazing! My skin was glowing and honestly the little massage that went with it gave me chills at one point, lol, it was incredible. I just had a baby so I hadn't had much self care, & the technician got so much crap out of my skin, it was much needed. Aimee also creates her own line of skincare products in DTLA that she's been working on for years, everything from a very simple clean moisturizer to a roll on serum that helps get rid of razor bumps on the bikini line. Lunchbox Wax, which I have been going to for years, has transitioned into Waxology Weho. Same location, same crew...but a complete facelift, and additional services now offered. Stopped by today for my monthly appt and loved the new look-and-feel of the space which feels fresh, uplifted, and the staff definitely more relaxed (dare I say happier?) The room I was in even had a soundtrack of subtle waves crashing in the background, which added a soothing touch, ha. This was my 2nd time with Jeanne and she's great. Quick but efficient; each time, just when the pain starts kicking in with selective sections of *rips*...she tells me we're done. I also love her professionalism balanced with a fun, quirky personality. When you're positioned in THE most awkward positions, she somehow helps minimize that embarrassment/self-consciousness, and just gets the job done right. I tried making an appointment online, but it was making me add payment so they can use my credit on file. This is something I didn't like because I don't like anyone having access to my credit card, so maybe give the option to not have this moving forward. This was an appointment I made for my big brother but overall when I called, the person could see I was trying to book an appointment. I found this to be pretty neat and ended up booking an appointment for nose hair removal. Big brother was happy and definitely would recommend this place to anyone. i love that they do all genders (we went to a place earlier that day and were turned away because they dont do men) so you guys definitely get my $$$ also for first timers you get a bogo ... which is super cool because you get to go back for a service i definitely booked my appointment already so my experience there was great i got a full brazilian (first time ever) and it hurt but roxane made me feel super comfortable she was very professional and very easy to talk to me and my friend both booked we loved it also they have products ranging from sugar scrub to oils even lighting cream so definitely check that out. and maybe you can play a game with the lollipop (you can win stuff) unfortunately i didnt win but my friend got a free "between the cheeks" luckyy .. :) but definitely give them a try highly recommend read more

Then they called me back and declared that they were open until their scheduled time of 6. Really? So why were the doors closed, lights off, and no phone answer? How could you have called me back if I called before 6 and got no answer? You were there until 6????
