I started going to this place a few years ago. I went in for a Polish change and eyebrow wax. She did a great job on my nails but didn't like the fact that they didn't have any drying tables which I thought was weird because it was a nail salon. She had to spray rapid dry on my nails causing me to have to be extremely careful not to touch anything. Ok so now comes my eye wax. The wax was way too hot. It burned when she put the wax on. Eyebrows came out nice but I noticed the next day that I had blisters and burns from the wax. After the blisters went away, my skin then started to scab up which led to me having to put Neosporin on it every few hours. read more

I have been coming here for years and have received speedy, friendly service from the gentlemen who work there. But today when a friend and I went in for a basic manicure, we received awful service. The woman doing my friends nails cut her, saying she "had too much skin" and that her "nails were dirty". How rude was that? Not only was she insulting, but during my friends slow and literally painful manicure, the woman doing her nails had the nerve to answer a video chat on her iPad while painting her nails. She continued to Video chat with her guy friend for the rest of the session asking him for a $100 watch. The woman who did my nails started to PLUCK her eyebrows right in front of me while I was drying my nails under the fan in front of her. Nice place to get a gel mani and standard pedi. I gave four stars because I had an appointment and still had to wait a bit but it was a Friday which tend to be busy. The technician Linda did a fabulous job. She was super friendly and her massage was killer. The salon was clean, good massage chairs and extensive color selection. I will be back! read more

So pissed.....i sat in this place for 30 minutes. After sitting for awhile the last few women that walked in was a total of 4. So every woman that was sitting there for services before they walk in we're looking kind of strange when they were seen before all of us. My two daughters and myself walked out of the store and went to another place I called to tell her of my concern and why I was so upset she told me oh I apologize that lady doesn't do acrylic. Bottom line is bad business I don't like that at all and I will not be returning to the Oasis Nail and Spa. And it doesn't matter if you have an appointment if they like somebody that or know somebody that's coming in that's who they're I'm going to see right away read more

I was looking for a new place to get a great manicure and I was really impressed with Oasis. I have had a few bad experiences with gel manicures, but they offer a ton of great gel polishes and we're really helpful with all my questions. The manicurist even suggested I get a polish change instead of a manicure because my cuticles didn't need to be trimmed. I walked out with beautiful nails and ended up spending less than anticipated. I would recommend for a great manicure, nice atmosphere and great prices. read more

I work in Milwaukee and thought I'd try out a new place. I needed an acrylic nail put on my toe and a pedicure with shellac polish. The polish they used must not have been shellac however because they had me dry my feet under a regular drying station and not an UV lamp like required for shellac. I sat for 15 minutes waiting for my toes to dry. One foot did, the other had issues with a couple of the nails and had to have them repainted (again with what should have been shellac)..... still after 10 minutes it still wasn't dry. I asked a different employee why my foot wasn't under a UV lamp, he touched the polish and said oh it's dry and walked away... I wasn't charged for shellac either which makes me think it wasn't even shellac. Even though I picked it out from the selection they had and it said shellac on the bottle.... I will never go back. This wasnt the WORST nail experience, but for sure not the best if looking for good acrylics. The lady rushed through the entire process, did not make sure the nails were even whatsoever. From my perspective at the time, the nails looked pretty even. But once she was finished and I flipped my nails around I was pretty disappointed. Walked in, greeted and seated right away with some difficulties. They charged to take the old tips off that I had(didn't mind), then instead of fixing my nails (buff, shape, you know actually care) the male nail tech preceded to put new tips on. I asked kindly if he could tend to my nails first before applying new ones and immediately he started speaking veitnmeese. Then I asked for round nails why did I walk out with almonds vs stilettos. The polish was terribly applied and the acrylic was all on my skin and under my nails. I was late for work and we got there around 12 I had to be at work at 4. I'm disappointed at how none of my nails look like a family. I know every nail is not going to always look perfect, I get that but at least let me walk out looking decent. This was the worst experience at a nail salon I've ever had. If I could give zero stars I would. Alexis, the receptionist, is the only one deserving of a star. My usual place was doing nails for a wedding party and couldn't get me in all morning, and since I didn't need a fill I thought anyone could do a simple polish change. Boy, was I mistaken. I went on a Saturday morning. I was told it would be 10 minutes. Forty minutes later I was called. I wanted a dark blue polish on all of my fingernails with a 4th of July design on my ring fingers only. I showed the tech two designs that were American flags. He said they were too hard for him, but if I wanted to wait another tech could do them. I told him I'd already been there 40 minutes, so I couldn't wait any longer. I settled for a very basic fireworks design that he said was much easier. He started the dark blue base polish. From the second he started I knew it was going to be bad. Instead of doing the first stroke down the side and bottom of the nail like PROFESSIONALS do, he started down the middle like I learned in grade school. The first coat was so thick and hadn't dried, so when he started the second coat it made big bumps and smudges. It was not smooth at all. On top of that, I had polish on my fingers. I had chosen a bright red for part of the firework design. For whatever reason, when he went to get the silver and white polish he came back with a red that was more of a maroon. He opened that, and I told him I wanted the red I chose. He closed the maroon color and drew two white lines, then opened the maroon again instead of the bright red I wanted. By this time I knew I was going to have to go to my regular place to have this disaster fixed, so at that point I didn't say anything further. He moved on to my other ring finger and drew the firework design COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than the first one even though he was looking at the first one the whole time, I'm assuming to try to copy it. I said "Look how different they are". He said he would fix it. I was about to snap, so I told him to just paint it blue and be done with it. I went to pay (even though I should have just walked out). Alexis said I understand there was a little problem. Ummmm, no....there was a BIG problem. I showed her how horrible the polish job was, all bumpy and uneven. Seriously, my 86-year old grandmother with cataracts could have done better. They gave me a whopping $2 (sarcasm) off my bill, so it was $8 instead of $10. Needless to say, I didn't leave a tip. So an hour and 10 minutes later I walked out knowing I'd have to go to my regular place and pay again for a simple polish change. My advice to anyone reading this would be to drive 10 minutes from Oasis to my regular place. I would say the name, but I don't want my review of this sub-par joint called Oasis Nails to be deleted. read more

As a licensed nail tech I am EXTREMELY picky about safety and sanitation. By the way folks if you ever walk in a place for a pedicure and you see them drain the water and just scrub it with a brush, RUN don't walk right out the door. Wisconsin state law requires to run the jets full of water and a hospital grade disinfectant for at least 10 minutes. Nail clippings and dead skin/bacteria/fungus get stuck in the jets and just get redistributed back into the water when they fill it up and they have you soak your feet. I always try to do home pedis or splurge for the spa. Most walk in places I have ever seen DO that. They aren't very cleanly there, all the tables were covered in nail dust and it didn't look like the change out the bands on the drill between clients "YOU HAVE TO DO THIS OTHERWISE IF THEY PERSON THEY USED IT ON BEFORE YOU WAS BLEEDING OR THEY HAD AN INFECTION IT COULD BE PASSED ON TO YOU" They have to throw away the sandpaper bit after every use and sanitize the metal ones. They did not do that, I got a guy and he seemed nice and made small talk, he was also trying to give me the sales pitch but you can't bs me so I didn't bite. His work was fast and sloppy but the nails turned out decently and you can't really screw up gel polish. It says on the way acrylic fills were $17 and up so I assumed it would be around $20 to $25 or so because of the gel polish, but I was a little taken aback to hear it was $30. When i expressed my surprise he told me it was because I picked a gel polish, if he would of said it was for the gel nails I would have busted him right there. If they have to use liquid and powder together then it is acrylic, most of these places try to charge you $40 and up because they use the powder but use a UV gel top coat and call it "gel nails". Lotion and cuticle oil with a nice massage should be offered to every client, but i only had lotion "slapped" on (weird 2 second massage) I had to ask for cuticle oil. Would I go back, probably not because they had some major state board violations and if they would have walked in that very moment they would have had a field day. read more

Very dirty and unsanitary!! Before I came in I called to see how long the wait was. The lady on the phone told me there would be no wait. I arrived and sat for 20 mins after checking in. Okay no big deal. I went in for a basic pedicure. I sat in my chair and the water was cold. Behind the chairs it looks like no one has cleaned. Dust everywhere and just stuff not very neat. The guy did listen to me when I told him I have sensitive toes and to take it easy. He did! He also did a really good job on removing the skin on my heels. As I was getting my pedicure done I watched the lady next to me clean out the chair and all she did was rinsed. The tools they use did not come in a sterile bag like they should. When it came down to picking a color you were given a basket. I thought was weird because I'm use to going and picking a color myself. I picked a color and changed my mind and decided to see the mood changing colors. I picked one thinking that it would be an extra $3-$5 nope $10 so I passed and went with an original color. The guy stood up all frustrated and starting speaking in his language and seemed to have an attitude with me after that. At the end of it all my nails all looked crooked and looked like a kid painted my nails. Missing in some spots. I can say I won't be returning. read more

Terrible service. I have been a customer for a few years and it slowly came to an end. Amy is moody and depending on her attitude is how well she does your nails. they use cheap material because my nails would break days after getting them done. but today finalized my relationship with oasis. Linda the owner disregarded my wishes and cut my nails down after a soak off. my nails were long and healthy and was not apologetic about it. when her 6pm appointment came in she started to rush buffing my horribly trimmed nails and i received cuts around my cuticles. I told her I was too upset and that I would pay for the soak off. I kept giving them chances to enhance the service but today i was completely outdone. I will not be going back. read more

The nail technicians were rude, they spoke rudely to me, about me to one another (in english), and even made jokes about my toe nails, including: "make sure you don't tell anyone you got them done here." Had a good experience up until the last two visits. My nails were bumpy and one nail was done crooked. Went in today and asked for a simple line design. I was told it could be done. The polish color I chose was almost out leaving an uneven, "airy" coat on one hand. I pointed out the imperfections and the guy said "I don't know what happened". I told him it was because there's it enough nail polish. The design was so uneven (thicker on one end, faded on the other) and not spaced out appropriately. The tech guy apologized saying he doesn't know how to do the design. Then why was I told it could be done?! This place is described as follows: "For crafty and unique nail designs, head on down to this salon." Really? Simple straight lines couldn't be done. So much for crafty. My daughter's nail technician discouraged her from getting jewels on her nails saying "they won't last long". Won't be going back. read more
