My experience with Obagi Law Group was so incredibly positive, it's difficult to know where to begin. I have pondered for a month about what to say in this review, and - to be honest - I'm not sure I can find the right words, even now. Zein Obagi was nothing short of phenomenal. I called for an initial consultation, fairly nervous, not quite knowing my ground, and was guided by Zein's wonderful assistant Ruben, who was ultra professional and so incredibly approachable. Within minutes of our first meeting, Zein was able to assess the strengths of my case and summarize the core of my argument. After months of wrangling in my own mind, I finally had a word for it! Yay! Plus - and this is a BIG plus - Zein gave me confidence to proceed without pulling the usual attorney technique of simply telling you what you want to hear, just to get the gig. He was straight-up with the pros and cons, and gave me spot-on advice regarding where the chips might fall. A very steady, and honest, hand indeed. Zein has a sniper's instinct, able to zoom-in to the tiniest, pertinent details, and is super-quick in grasping the wider context, proving a formidable advocate when communicating with the other side. At times, he was so uncompromising and unshakeable when challenging the opposition, I was actually embarrassed for the poor dude fighting the other corner. In short, it was a 'no contest' bout, like Muhammed Ali versus Stan Laurel (poor Stanley). Of course, I would have preferred not to resort to legal action (I was suing old friends) but ... it is what it is. It could have been a lot worse, but Zein simplified the whole thing with his no-nonsense approach. He even kept in touch with me (and the opposing attorney) while out of the country on vacation - which says everything about his dedication. In the end, when all parties met to (amicably) settle the case with a mutually-agreed resolution, Zein had wrapped-up the argument so well that he was the Alpha in the room - while remaining humble, respectful and calm. From start to finish? - just one month. That's amazing. Thanks to this law group, I felt a euphoric vindication of a long-standing grievance. Too sweet. In December 2017 I was terminated from my job and the circumstances led me to believe my termination was unlawful. I reached out to Zein Obagi of the Obagi Law Group, P.C. with trepidation because I know how hard it can be to prove a case. Upon meeting Mr. Obagi, I immediately felt relief. I told my story and he took few notes but grasped the situation in its entirety. We spoke a few times during the case where he clarified some fine points. He explained how we would not wait to file the lawsuit and he would not allow unreasonable delays from opposing counsel. This law office was on top of this case and the total time frame from when I first met with Mr. Obagi to the time we settled (quite favorably for me), took only 9 months.
