I underwent breast surgery with Dr. John Obi and experienced a devastating outcome that has permanently affected my life. Following my procedure, I developed severe complications that resulted in significant tissue loss, necrosis and extensive scarring. I required additional medical evaluation and treatment, and the physical and emotional toll has been overwhelming. The final result left me with breast deformity, asymmetry, and permanent scars that I will have to live with indefinitely. My experience was traumatic, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering surgery to obtain multiple consultations, ask detailed questions about risks and complications, and carefully research all available options before making a decision. While the office is lovely the front desk staff is incompetent and rude. The "nurses" in the back aren't even licensed. I went in multiple times for reconstructive breast surgery from 2016-2018, the first surgery went well but he consistently botched my nippesnafter multiple revisions. He did the sutures too tight and with blunt instrument his staff admitted to rewashing the same instruments that have been with the establishment since the 80s. He seemed rude and upset that the results were not appreciated. The last straw was when I was scheduled for another revision surgery but the front desk staff took me off the surgery roster and didn't tell him. I went in and he thought he was performing an in office procedure he had already performed a week prior. He had no idea what was going on and his front desk staff didn't either. Do not trust your body to this man or his staff, aside from all of the raging narcissism is many illegal activities being performed under your nose. Do not let him play in your body. read more

if I could rate him lower I would! in 2021 he was suppose to repair my deviated septum by way of a septoplasty. He did not repair my deviated septum. He in fact did nothing but also my nose has a large lump and what they call a witches tip. I've been seen by several other surgeons not just in Florida, but other states who have told me they don't know what he did, but he made my nose worse than it was previously. I am now having to have surgery again to repair his damages. I attempted several times to communicate with him and his office staff without any results I would suggest staying far far away from this doctor he should not be practicing. read more

In 2022 I had a breast reduction and lipo on several areas. We talked about what I wanted and we evaluated my skin elasticity and decided that lipo was indeed best for me. Prior to my surgery, as we are drawing and marking what is to be done, the nurse tells Dr. Obi that I was indeed not even. He argues even after I agree. During my follow up I address my nipples not being even. He then in a rude manner told me I should be thanking him and that I looked way better, in front of one of his assistants. He is an older man and is definitely set in his ways. I called and asked about getting it corrected and was told I could come in and evaluate the issue. We could have done that when I first addressed it, when we were in pre-op and when I went for my follow up... instead I was shamed for expecting results that I had previously seen and expected. When I never schedule to come back in, no one even bothered to reach out. Additionally, I continued to have my appointments reschedule for personal reasons, though a lot of the time because they would close early or the dr wasn't there. I just think I did not get what I paid for. The staff is great mostly, but you will see after you pay how they are treated. Now what? Stuck like this. Embarrassing. read more

Wish I couldn't even give this place one star... I went in 10 months ago to get a bigger breast size something I've always wanted and saving up for. I was told I could get very close to the size I wanted which was a 420cc paid ($6000 ) more than most plastic surgeons charge because Doctor OBI was the best of the best so I was told. After I woke up my husband informed me that Dr.Obi only put size 220cc .... you can't imagine after finally being able to afford this for myself how devastating that news was. Doctor OBI told me to dress nice to every appointment and to feel happy about myself because I was a beautiful woman..( you can imagine sitting there with your shirt off and the doctor seen be happy with his work he did good enough for what you paid for) I only moved up one cup size, my right nipple is now pointing downward for some reason. Doctor OBI refuses to compensate some money or redo the boob job and he refuses to fix the right nipple. I'm guessing because I asked for him to redo the boob job ...I only want what I paid for the first time but he refuses. I do have to say Doctor OBI did have Gina to call me (his assistant) to tell me he can redo the boob surgery for half the cost. So what he is really saying $9000 later he can maybe get me to the right boob size and possibly my right nipple be fixed. Not only do I think it's ridiculous that I paid $6000 to move up one cup size I think it's bull crap that he won't take pride in his work and his patients to fix what went wrong. I can honestly say as a young woman I've never felt more uncomfortable with my body than I do right now they look round hard and unattractive!! read more

He acts like he cares, pretends to listen and seems like he knows what he's doing but will destroy your body then deny what he did. If you question him he will get defensive. Yes his office is gorgeous with art, water with Koi fish, etc. and his staff is nice but that does not make for good surgery results. If you choose to risk your body make sure you record every single thing he says before surgery, after surgery and at every appointment. read more

Dr Obi is an outstanding surgeon and person with a great family and staff. You walk into the office and never feel uncomfortable, man or woman. He is cutting edge and no pun intended. There is a state of the art surgery center right there so no high hospital costs. He was the first doctor to work with stem cells and do breast reconstruction out of your own fat, so their is no rejection. His facial work is famous and the looks are normal, ie no one knows you've had anything done, you just look so much better. SHOULD REALLY BE TEN [10] STARS I have got to say that Dr. Lewis Obi is the most artistic, professional, and capable plastic surgeon with an excellent bedside manner (explains everything) that I have come across. I have seen the work of several through two generations as my mom had a couple of surgeons back home. Doctor Obi not only turned this 74 year old sow's ear into a silk purse but added rubies and diamonds to it also. He is attentive, caring, innovative, and up-to-date on all the latest developments in rejuvenation as well. I had eyebrow lifts, neck lift, lower face lift, stem cell injections, and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections. You can take my 74 years and switch the numbers as I truly look no more than 47, if not younger!!!! He has always done more than promised, done it better than promised, and been extremely fair (if not downright reasonable) in the costs. His staff is as caring and capable as he is. Dr. Obi is an Art Collector and his collection includes many expensive paintings. He is a community leader and is and has been for many years one of the best Plastic surgeons around. He has also been generous in supporting the community here and in other places. He and his office staff have always been courteous and accommodating to me and my family members. read more

I received excellent care from Dr Obi and his highly skilled and trained staff. I was referred to Dr Obi as my breast cancer circumstances were particularly difficult. Dr Obi and his medical staff achieved a brilliant result. As a result I am cancer free and have a beautiful esthetic. For me it was very important for a woman to feel confident in this sensitive area of our bodies. I attended an open Breast Cancer Awareness event held by Mr. Obi. In a room full of people, he singled me out and accused me of leaning on a painting that was placed above me on the wall. While doing so, he also felt it appropriate to forcefully put his hands on me to move me away from this painting that I hadn't touched. He put his hands on me a second time, after I'd already asked him to get his hands off of me (which no one should have to do). Adding insult to injury, he very loudly proceeded to tell me that I couldn't afford his painting, which was why he didn't want me to lean on it, although I hadn't once touched it. He then asked one of his event hostesses to move the table that I'd been at to a location away from the painting while I stood there. Prior to all of this, when I initially arrived, he seemed to attempt to obstruct me from coming into the event, standing very staunchly in my way when I tried to pass by him even though we had made eye contact and I pardoned myself with "excuse me" in his immediate hearing twice. This was an event open to the public (and I wanted to support it because my mom died battling breast cancer/lymphodema), but the way he carried on, it must've been open only to the public that looked opposite than I looked (no inference needed)...I didn't get the memo from the invites I received though.
