They have waiting area which looks pretty nice and clean , thay have watter and tables and chairs. After we all registered we were taken to actually room/warehouse were we packed the fruits. All the people were very friendly, older gentleman was super nice and polite. Gaby was also super helpful (she is the only one that I remember name) but they were all great. Definitely coming back here to volunteer. They have restaurant style kitchen where they prepare meals and lot of people were inside. It seems like everything is so organized and works perfectly. The moment you walk in, you're surrounded by sparkling Christmas lights, colorful displays, and that cozy holiday feeling. They really go all out with the decorations, every corner is glowing and picture-perfect. One of the highlights for the kids was the teacup ride. It was so much fun and perfect for kids and adults who want a little spin and some laughs. The carousel was another classic, beautifully lit and great for photos. It added that nostalgic touch that makes you feel like a kid again. And of course, seeing Santa was the best part for the little ones. Santa was friendly, patient, and really took time with each family. The setup was adorable and festive, perfect for holiday pictures. Between the rides, lights, and cheerful atmosphere, it's an experience that puts you right into the Christmas spirit. For a first visit, I was impressed by how organized and clean everything was, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. A wonderful holiday outing!! I'll definitely be back next year for Halloween. In 2023, Baby's Bounty launched Diapers for Diplomas, an initiative in partnership with six of Nevada's higher education institutions, in order to make college more accessible for parenting students. This program has helped thousands of moms and kids. My daughter is working full time and is a full time student and gets diapers from here . We are always greeted by Stephanie and Melanie. They are the kindest people that make us feel Welcomed and they always ask my daughter how she is doing and how the boys are doing! They definitely care about each and every person that walks through their doors . This is one of the programs that is definitely benefiting so many families in Nevada and I think the world of what they are doing ! This program is also in Sparks and Reno as well . The Just One Project is currently doing emergency food distributions Monday through Friday at their…read moreheadquarters due to the pause in SNAP benefits. I did a volunteer shift last week, helping to distribute food to recipients who drove up. There was already a line of cars that snaked outside of the parking lot and down Decatur. The folks working here have a great system going, with check-in for volunteers, name tags, and then assignments handed out. There were tents set up in the parking lot already with the products to be disbursed at stations. Volunteers were assigned to a station and put the food in the cars as they stopped at each station. There were two lines of cars, one on each side of the tents, with volunteers to hand out food on each side. I worked alongside some great people and look forward to helping out again. I visited the Pearson Community Center for an event and was blown away by the beautiful mural…read moreinside the building. I didn't even get to take a photo of it because I didn't notice it when I first walked in - yes, it was as if I was a horse wearing blinders. Anyway, when I went to use their restroom was when I actually noticed the beautiful artwork. I asked the beautiful lady at the front desk if it was a local artist who painted the murals. She said it was an artist from Los Angeles named Mike Norice. If you Google-search Pearson Community Center + Mike Norice, you'll see a few videos on this place. It was breathtaking to say the least. Just absolutely beautiful the work he did, which is called "Unsung Pillars of the Westside". There were other works of art (mixed media) throughout the lobby from community members that I found to be beautiful as well. While I was inside one of the rooms, the place did feel a bit warm - to be fair, the weather was around 115°. Anyway, I enjoyed what I saw but wished it were a little cooler in the side rooms.
