I have been shopping here for years... but today I left this place in absolute tears…read more I have never had such an awful experience at a business in my life!!!! if I could give rose tree NEGATIVE stars I would. mind you, I have bought plenty of dresses and clothing from Rose Tree for dances in high school. I have been a customer for years, but it seems I was treated this way only because my money wasn't spent on them initially concerning my Wedding dress. for context, I came here a few months ago with my best friend so she could buy her wedding dress, they were so nice to us and accomodating but now I realize that was only because she was giving them her money... I had asked her (my friend) if they did alterations because I'm also getting married in 5 months and she had said yes and that they were really good. I got my wedding dress in Columbus and the place I got it from doesn't do alterations, they only sell the dresses. anyways, I picked it up a couple of weeks ago in Columbus and had immediately called rose tree to make an appointment for alterations. the girl on the phone took my name down and all of my information, asked where I had gotten my dress even, said to just come and bring it in etc. so the appointment was booked. well today, I walk in for my appointment at 12 holding my wedding dress in a gray bag. immediately get eyed because the dress I am holding isn't in the same dust bag as theirs I guess... I say Hello I have an appointment for alterations... she doesn't even look at the computer or ask for my name yet, she says "did you even get it here?" I'm immediately taken back, I say no but I spoke to someone over the phone a while ago and it seemed that it wouldn't be an issue. she continues to ask for my name and fiddles around on the computer for quite literally two seconds. then, says I don't have an appointment and the last appointment I had was from 2019 (my junior prom). I said "oh that's so odd I put the appointment in my phone calendar while I was on the phone with you all" she then says "let me see your dress" after acknowledging that it was not from Rose tree, I supposedly did not have an appointment and it was from Columbus... unzips my bag, rolling her eyes, takes two seconds to debate wether or not they will be willing to take me on after telling me no...then looks at me and says "yeah you're going to have to take you and your dress somewhere else we can't help you we are too busy to handle this right now", "we have a big store and a lot of dresses on our plate" why even look at my dress in the first place if that's the case? why make an appointment when I called? I then told her my wedding is in 5 months (September 2026) and I made this appointment in advance, even clarifying all of the details over the phone with the girl before I came to make sure it was all squared away and I wouldn't have to worry about anything. she says "whoever you spoke to told you wrong" then walks behind the counter and says "sorry we can't help you" and I then asked "do you have any suggestions about where I go?" she goes, "probably some dry cleaner" I say any specifics again? she says "are you not from here?? go to a dry cleaner"... I have lived here all my life. there were three women standing behind the counter, smirking and not saying a word during this entire interaction. I felt like I was in highschool again dealing with girls but yet I'm 23 being spoken to by a 60-70 year old woman terribly. I have never felt so disrespected at an establishment in my entire life. mind you I am only 23 years old, have worked with the public plenty and understand things happen, especially when you deal with a wide range of customers and attitudes, but I am not one of those people. I come into restaurants, stores, etc. with the best attitude and the most respect and have never been spoken to or treated this way in my life. it would have been different if I were rude in the slightest. but I wasn't. I left this place in tears and confused. I have never gone somewhere after calling and making sure everything was settled, being genuinely INTERROGATED by someone triple my age. This place will never get my business, my family or my friends business and I will never suggest them to anyone.

I just called there and the lady answered the phone Rose Tree very harshly. She should say hello, this is Rose Tree, how may I help you? I asked her about a blazer I was about to buy from them online. It was already in my cart and my size. The blazer I wanted was Joseph Ribkoff and over $300. I don't think that's where they make their money. I think this store is Prom and Bridal dresses mostly because she didn't seem to want to make a sale. I call it a store because boutiques usually treat you well. She acted like a dress store and not a boutique. Boutiques want to keep your business and have a good clientele. After I told her the Style number, she puts me on hold, like it was such an inconvenience for her and comes back and says she has a size 8 and I said that won't work and I'm trying to explain to her that their website has every size available online and then she said all we have is a size 10. Do you want that? So she didn't know what size she had? So did they have a size 8 or 10? I was trying to explain to her that their website is wrong and it's in my cart right now and you have every size available online! She didn't want to hear it. Thank goodness I trusted my gut and looked up their company! Prom and Bridal stores can be horrendous and she was! I see why they have two stars on Yelp!
