What I appreciated most was how honest he was. After looking everything over, he told me the issue was likely just a buildup that needed a thorough cleaning and possibly some new sand. He even mentioned that my husband could probably handle it himself if we wanted to go that route. That level of honesty is rare. In the end, we chose to have Mike take care of it. While he was here, he also installed a damper clamp that we didn't realize was missing, which brought the fireplace up to code. Before calling Fireplace Doctor, we had another company come out. They made the situation sound much more serious and tried to convince us we needed a completely new fireplace unit because they claimed our setup was dangerous. Mike calmly explained why that wasn't the case and helped put our minds at ease. We really appreciated his knowledge, integrity, and the time he spent walking us through everything.

I forget his name, but whoever I spoke with was very honest upfront that my pits were too small of jobs for him to work on but he referred me to someone for both pits and the bbq as well. His recommendation was Dan who came out and took a look at all 3 things. I believe Dan is with another company, if he or anyone from this company know please kindly reply to this post and inform what company that is! Dan was fantastic, gave me costs and showed me the issues then and there. He also looked at my pit in my front courtyard and was able to solve the minor issue at no charge, simple fix. I decided I didn't want my backyard fire pit fixed because the front one is much nicer and now that it is fixed I doubt I will ever use the one in my backyard--another project yay. Will have to demo it one day. Dan then fixed the bbq and it now looks incredible and works great. I have since used it a handful of times with no issues. Disappointed with Product Quality and Durability…read more I had high hopes for HB fire pits when I purchased my fireplace, but unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. After only 1.5 years, the unit has already stopped working properly, which is unacceptable for such an expensive investment. Despite following all maintenance recommendations, I've had issues with burner failure, electrical and remote. When I reached out the owner, he was very unhelpful, unresponsive and extremely rude every time I was able to get hold of him. A fireplace should last much longer than this, and I would not recommend HB FIRE PITS based on my experience. If you're considering purchasing from them, I strongly suggest looking into other options or ensuring you get an extended warranty. Also my next-door neighbor also purchase the same fireplace like mine at the same time, and she's been having many problems with the hardware and the owner. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service from HB fire pits, especially from the owner. When my fireplace started having issues, I reached out for repairs and maintenance, expecting professional assistance. Instead, I was met with rudeness, dismissiveness, and a complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction. Rather than standing behind their product and helping to resolve the problem, the owner was unhelpful and unwilling to take responsibility. Calls and messages were ignored or met with short, unprofessional responses. When I finally did get a response, it was clear they were more interested in avoiding the issue rather than actually fixing it. A company is only as good as its customer service, and unfortunately, HB Fire Pits fails in that regard. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for a fireplace company that actually values its customers and stands behind its products.

We needed an electric fireplace and mantel installed from scratch in our living room since we did not have one. Wayne was very responsive and knowledgeable since the beginning. It was around holiday time so we decided to wait until the new year to begin the project. I got in touched with Wayne after the new year and we couldn't be happier with the end product. His pricing, expertise, and professionalism was unbeatable. From the time of us signing up for the project, it took about 6 weeks to get the project started and the once it started, about a few days for the fireplace installation from scratch, and then a few more days for them to install the mantel. We're new home owners and we got our house only to find out our fireplace wasn't working. Luke came out and removed the difficult to use "electronic ignition pilot system" so we can just use the natural gas line. Later that day, we started smelling gas throughout the second floor. He offered to come out again free of charge to check on it for us. Turns out the valve for the fireplace is faulty and we have to get it replaced and the seller must have just put the electronic ignition pilot system on as a "bandaid" fix to stop the leaking (sketch). Luke helped us identify the leak and really went above and beyond to help us out as new home owners (steps to take, referral to a plumber, etc). We'll definitely be back if we need any fireplace help in the future and would refer him out to anyone that needs him!

Something didn't feel right, so I decided to get a second opinion and called him back. When he came out, he did another fireplace sweep and also repaired cracks in both the exterior and interior of my fireplace. He took the time to carefully inspect everything and honestly told me those additional services the other company recommended were not necessary. I really appreciated his honesty and not trying to take advantage of the situation. His pricing is very fair, and his work is excellent. The back patio was 1970s looking brown pebble tec around the pool and patio area (which was fading and coming loose), and the side driveway was painted concrete which got super slippery in the rain. I wanted something textured that my kids wouldn't slip on, and I wanted to tie the whole house together with one uniform coating. Their crew worked really hard for us, and they really paid attention to detail. The painters were super neat, and the guys doing the coating were meticulous. It was a really big job, and it took a while to complete, but they kept at it and did it right. They've even come back a couple times to fix some little things that I messed up, or that happened through normal wear and tear. I will attach some before and after pics if I can find them, but in the meantime if you're considering resurfacing a patio, driveway, or other area, call these guys first. They'll take care of you.

Steve and his crew are regular people that treat others with kindness and respect not because they have to, but because that's who they are. They fixed a leaky pipe in my backyard without having to pull up my pavers and then they fixed a pipe in my front planter that solved low pressure on my drip lines. No fuss, no extra charges or unnecessary parts and labor.
