This business use to provide the pre-filled syringes of medication at the end of your appointment after performing a health assessment and discussing the best options. You were then given the option of the medical staff administering your first shot and taking the other 2 pre-filled syringes home to administer yourself or taking all 3 pre-filled syringes home to administer yourself. Recently, the business started the new practice of mailing medications in a box with ice instead providing patients with the 3 pre-filled syringes or providing patients the option of the medical staff administering the first one at the clinic. This clinic no longer administers the first shot. They no longer provide the or/filled syringes at the end of the appointment. The new process involves waiting to receive the medications in the mail. This significantly delays progress. On average you have to wait 4-5 days before you see the medication now. You have to wait to find out when it's shipped which takes days. In addition, this medication is suppose to stay frozen but people work and if you are going to leave a package on someone's door step that is temperature sensitive in August, that seems like a bit of an issue. The box that it is mailed in is far too large to fit into a mailbox, so you need to get home early. If you live in an apartment you could ask the office at your apartment complex to hold it, but those offices close early and that means a working person may not be able to get the medications and start until a week after the office appointment. What is really troublesome is that you are mailed empty syringes, alcohol rubs. and bottles of and medications with no directions. The medication is a pain to get in the syringes and then you have to call the clinic to confirm the specific dosage you need since the measurement on the syringes not match the measurement type that you were told you would be prescribed while at the clinic. I was told that you can ask that the medication be mailed to the clinic but that means a second visit before you can start your medication and usually that means a week delay to your start. To add insult to injury, you are told to return in 3 weeks but you are already a week behind the day you should have started. All this new process has done is cause discouragement and a desire to start looking at other programs to determine if it's possible to get the medication injected at the clinic to ensure you are doing it right or at least get the prefilled syringes while at your appointment. I asked about this change and I was told it was a law. I do not see any law regarding doctors bring required to mail all medications to patients.

As I sat down, waiting to be called back, I noticed an underwater beach scene playing on the television. The water was clear and you could see fish. This is the closest to snorkeling that I will come. It was very pleasant imagery with soft ocean sounds. So soothing to the eyes and ears. The sound was broken by my name being called to go back. I went to the back and was asked my name and birthdate as well as a series of body medal related questions. I was given a room to change in as well as a key to lock the door. After I put on my gown it was off to the X-ray room where I was given earplugs and instructed to lay on my back on a table. A pillow was placed under my legs and what felt like a head brace was placed on my head to keep my head still. I was then inserted into what looked like a giant white tube. The test lasted about 45 minutes. While I was in the tube I heard a series of banging noises as well as what seemed like energy passing around me. After the test was done I changed my clothes and went back to the waiting room to pay my co-pay as well as receive my disc and receipt. The staff was really nice and informative. I recommend this location and would go back if I needed to.

I was seen and treated promptly. I had a 9:00 AM appointment, was treated and sitting in my car at 9:40. Felt like royalty. Between the time I was diagnosed and the time I was treated, I found I was also dealing with skin cancer. The doctor treating me kindly postponed my second procedure so I could focus on the cancer. Rock star. Staff had rearranged subsequent appointments while I was still being treated. The gentleman that prepped me for the procedure was totally supportive, addressing all of my concerns, fears, and worries. I wish I had gotten his name so I could so I could give him proper respect. The desk staff charged me a co-pay, which surprised me. I was so focused on the upcoming procedure I gladly paid it. Afterwards, when I was more myself, I inquired about it. Insurance information was quickly sorted, and a refund given. I have more to do, but I don't worry that I won't be treated well.
