In the past, we had printed a poster at our local Staples store but this time we had to look at other options since in-store pickup wasn't available and we would need it delivered. We did some research and found that Fedex pricing was comparable AND the poster would be ready within 1-2 days, which was faster than other options like Office Depot, Vistaprint, Signs.com, etc. We uploaded our file on a Tuesday around noon. The estimated finish time would be Weds, which was perfect. Then around 6:40pm on Tuesday, we received an email saying that the poster was ready for pickup. Since they close at 7pm, my husband was excited and decided he wanted to pick up the poster before closing. When he came home, he was clearly very disappointed. The colors on the poster were a lot darker than anticipated and his blue car ended up looking like a black car! We weren't sure what to do, since it could have been our fault with the photos, right? And since the poster had already been printed, there was a chance the company would say, "Sorry, we went off your file and you have to accept the finished product." That night, we were kinda bummed.... I did some reading and research (on Reddit forums, lol) and many posts mentioned that print shops should be able to adjust the colors on their printing. I remembered back in my teaching days, when I was at the copy machine, I'd turn the darkness on my originals higher, so maybe that was what happened in our case---the darkness was too high. We decided it was worth a try to ask Fedex if they could somehow print it with lighter tones. Honestly we were kinda apprehensive when we walked into Fedex that day. Fortunately we were greeted by Rick, who listened to our woes and was super understanding and helpful. Soon Manager Jon walked over and we explained our concerns. I was so impressed by the patience and attention to detail that both of these employees showed us that day. Long story short (guess it's not that short anymore), a few hours later, Jon called and said he had adjusted some of the colors and that the poster was ready for pick up. When we got there, the reprinted poster looked so much better. My husband was so happy and grateful, because now he had a poster he could be proud of. We know redoing the poster required extra time, effort and printing costs for Fedex, so we are very thankful that Manager Jon took the time to make a customer satisfied. Excellent customer service and two wonderful, friendly guys who made the whole process enjoyable and boosting Fedex's reputation in our mind. As someone who represents the face of the store, her behavior is consistently rude and unwelcoming. She often comes across as having a power trip and is snappy with customers, creating an uncomfortable environment. It's baffling to me how someone who appears to dislike interacting with people so much is in a customer-facing role. I genuinely don't understand how she is still employed here, given the consistently negative experience she provides. I hope this issue is addressed, as it significantly impacts the overall impression of this location. The price for one single stamp is $.078. I was charged $1.25 which is a $.047 or 60% markup. When I said something about the price the two males behind the counter started laughing and speaking in a language that was not English and so I did not understand what was being said. That is offensive! No thank you. I have a printer it's cheaper to use pirate ship to purchase postage and ship packages. I'll drop them off to the UPS store though, they can manage that part, hopefully laughing the whole way. :)

Last Thursday I went in with an express envelope a friend had already provided postage for. My intent was to just drop it off for mail pick up. My friend's post office in SoCal used international postage and this caused quite an upset to Jessica. Jessica check the amount was correct but was just unsure. I told her I was willing to put it another envelope and pay the higher postal annex cost (nearly double the postage on the envelope). She insisted she wanted to check with USPS that would pick up and would call me. Her intensity around it triggered a customer behind me to say "couldn't she just take it to the post office." I told him I enjoy the convenience of this Postal Annex. She did call me later and was unsure. By then I had spoken with my friend and explained to Jessica that the post office placed the postage. She decided it would be ok and would send it out. This was priority mail and by Monday my friends post office had not received it. I called the annex to inquire if they MIGHT have scanned. A different employee said no but she would check with her driver on Wed as he did scan it. On Tuesday, I get an unsolicited, agitated call from Jessica saying she had a note, basically super pissy at me that no one scanned it, why would they, etc. I was like hey "I just called to see if you might have scanned it since I told you it needed to be there next day. I wish I had just put it a new envelope and paid the $50. But you talked me out of doing that." She began to deny that she had done so and continued her intensity over the scanning and international stamps. So I ended the call and this ends my years of use and adoration for this small, local business.
