Rented a couple of baby gates from here. Everyone was very friendly and during our rental one of the baby gates broke. They were completely understanding and told me to not worry about it. Don't make the mistake of using them. I ordered the chair set up, bikes, and paddle boards months in advance of my beach week. It's a splurge but wanted to do it. We got a confirm email and I checked my website account with them a few times--all set. The DAY BEFORE the trip, they called to say they did not have any of the stuff and were overbooked and canceled. They claimed they called and emails but I check my phone records and email--nothing. Rented an upgraded gas grill. The grill was useless. Came dirty - caked will charred food. Igniter did not work - no manual lighter was provided. Lit with matches - only inconsistent yellow flames (burners were worn out or bad regulator). Burners went out on any setting but high. Thank you for taking the time - during the 4th of July weekend no less!! - to fix my flat tire while I waited in your air conditioned store. You turned a torturous, possibly stroke-inducing hour-walk back in 88-degree temperatures into a fifteen-minute bike ride. Thank you!! Here's the whole story: its such a simple ride to the post office and my beach bike is such a beater that I never think twice about pumping up the tires before I take off. This time was different. When the rubber rim strip started to fly off my front tire I knew I was in trouble. I biked for as long as I could but apparently, as I found out, you cannot bike on a totally flat tire. The moral of the story is threefold; first, always carry a bike pump and spare inner tube; second, if you need anything for the beach: bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, paddle boards, or even Sun Bum products, stop by Ocean Atlantic Rentals; and, finally, if you find yourself with a flat bike tire ask for Gene and Noah. read more

We rented a 6 person cart for our family's vacation this past week. A couple days in we had some issues where the cart wasn't working properly. After speaking with the manager, Trevor, he quickly and appropriately drove out and picked up our troubled cart, delivered a replacement cart, offered a refund, and did so all within 2 hours of our initial complaint. I wasn't sure what to expect, but he went above and beyond to ensure we would be happy and ensure our vacation wouldn't be interrupted. Large selection and very helpful staff. Prices are very reasonable. Went in for a same day rental of 3 boards during July 4th week and they had all the gear. I was in and out of the store within 10 min and they offered to help load up the car. Returning the gear was super simple and the owner was more than kind enough to allow me to return a board that we ended up unavoidably damaging at no charge. Would highly recommend. read more

I called very last minute and rented four chairs and an umbrella. Due to an injury, I needed to get a concierge service. Ocean Atlantic was super willing and super cooperative. We had our chairs carried out to the beach and set up and taken down everyday and it made the rest of our week so enjoyable. After a pleasant experience last year of beach chair service for the same house as last year I thought I would try it again this year, but after booking and paying for their service I get a phone call from the office stating that they're going to have to charge me $75.00 more than originally quoted and paid for. Asking for an explanation the woman told me it's because the house isn't beachfront...well the house wasn't beachfront last year either (it's @ 100 feet from the beach) and they didn't charge me a surcharge... So be careful when using this business as their business practice has become very suspect... read more
