I've been going here for years and it's a great water park. Always a fun time and if you're local, definitely consider a season pass. There are child and adult pricing options, as well as adding a meal plan. They still have a big jug of complimentary sun screen! The souvenir cups and popcorn container come with cheap refills, so definitely consider if you have a season pass. The main food court i did not get pictures of today, but I will on my next visit!

Ocean Breeze Waterpark is a small waterpark that has all the essentials, but honestly it's nothing super amazing that you need to check out while in VA Beach. If you're looking to do something in the water, just go to the beach! The water slides are not bad, nothing impressive. The lazy river gets pretty crowded with people just walking through it, making it more stressful than lazy. Food is your standard theme park fare. Two awesome things: 1) Huge gorilla statue in front 2) Parking is free and there is a shuttle to/from the lot (which is not even a far walk)

Very nice atmosphere, lots of space for kids to play and adults to chill. The slides are nice too, but not too many them

Great waterpark! Of course they are not as big as Water Country but it's just right for a day of fun! No waiting 2 hours to get on a ride. Perfect for families with small children too. The big screen tv over the wave pool is a great enhancement. We loved going to movie night!

This was our first time here, after living in state almost 18 years. We were able to go as a part of Girl Scout day. The park is much smaller in comparison to water country. However, it is cheaper in price and there is free parking. So you get what you pay for. We arrived at 10:15 AM, this was 15 minutes after the park had opened. My son had managed to ride everything, and get in everything within two hours. The park is not that big at all. We debated about getting a cabana, but after knowing it was $130 we decided not to. We managed to find some chairs and sat in the shade most of the day. There are free life vest for kids to to use all over the park. There's 2 sit down bars for adults, which I enjoyed. What I didn't like was: The walls of the lazy river are rocks, real rocks. Even brushing up against it by accident, combined with the current is no fun. The park also needs more visible signs showing the depth of the water at the end of the slides. Overall we had a good time, especially since our admission and food was paid for.

There is one nice wide family slide for everyone. There is one super steep one that my six year old braved successfully. The last two are like a twisty open one and then a twisty closed tube style. No life jackets are allowed on the slides but the lifeguards literally stand there and catch your kids and take them back to the side to get out and go again. I was there by myself outnumbered and nervous about my nonswimming kids and no life jackets but quickly relaxed and realized my kids were safe and having the time of their lives. The lifeguards were happy to pass my kids to me but also totally fine if I got out to go do the family slide with one of them if needed. That's always the tricky part of being outnumbered by kids - when the pack wants to split up and I can't be two places at once. Anyway the snack bar food was pretty terrible but pizza was alright. You can bring in a cooler though. Next time I'll pack a full picnic for everyone. They do a lot of adult swims so the lifeguards can rotate but that gives everyone a chance to grab a snack and potty and also gave us a nice window to exit. The pool temp was fantastic and the water was clean. It's a government facility so there's some stuff that could use an upgrade naturally but for $10 a person I was impressed!

Other than that small detail (I had to stop at a reenlistment picnic to ask someone for directions), it is a smash hit and we love it! I am only bummed we didn't know about it last summer! Admission is $6 for active duty, retirees, reservists, & eligible family members, $8 for guests (up to 2 guests per adult w/ ID), kids 3 and under are free. Season passes are based on the number of people in your family... 1= $60, 2= $110, 3= $135, 4= $170, 5= $200, 6= $225 Despite the website's direction that no outside food is allowed and you must purchase food from concessions, *EVERYONE* brings a cooler with lunch in it. So, pack away and save yourself a fortune in concession stand prices. This is a clean and well-maintained facility, for sure. They offer pavilion rental and swimming lessons, which is great! One thing you'll want to warn your kids about ahead of time is "adult swim time" which is a 15 minute break for the kids from the pool they allows the adults to enjoy the facilities (and helps prevent sun-poisoned, exhausted kids)... my kids were upset because adult swim happened 10 mins after we arrived. Oops! There is plenty of seating and it's not so crazy (or wasn't today) that there are long lines... if you get here in time to snag a table, you'll have shade under an umbrella, but annoyingly, people fill the tables with their stuff (even though they aren't sitting there) and you'll be left without shade unless you plan ahead. The snack bar is an array of popsicles, string cheese, burgers, and preservative-packed packaged food that will run you between $0.50 and $5.00 per item. Not terrible on price, really, but far from health-friendly. Better than nothing! For $6/$8 per person, it's a great time. Pack a lunch to save more money, bring as many friends as you can fit in your car. We will be back!

If you're not DoD, you can either seek a commission, enlist, or make friends with a serviceman, then pay the visitor rate. This is more of a mini water park than a pool. There are three legit big kid slides, and four other little kid slides. There's also a gator bridge with an overhead net. There are lots of tables in the shade, either umbrellas or an overhead cover. There's a snack bar with some healthy options. There's also a fenced off splash pad for toddlers. There isn't really anywhere to swim that's more than 4 feet deep. There is a deep pool, but it serves as the splash down for the tube slide. There are plenty of lifeguards. They would do better to spend less time socializing/flirting with each other and more time watching the water, but the kid to mom ratio was about 2:1, so there was adequate supervision. One girl was actually turned 90 degrees in her chair, to face her friend rather than the pool. As a former lifeguard I found that appalling, but again, every little kid was pretty much under direct supervision of his or her parents anyway. They don't allow pool toys or water wings, but do have nice life vests for kids to use for free. They don't allow outside food or drinks, but the place is run by teenagers who don't care to shake down customers, so we had no problem bringing in snacks and drinks. Overall, for $6 per person, it was well worth it. Thanks for the good time, MWR!

We came here this early to try and get a big locker. These jumbo lockers are a whopping $55. Once I got the locker, we wound up waiting for the Wave Pool to open. Not sure why, but when I realized why, I said it made sense. Instead of purchasing a locker, ppl ran to grab a beach chair (which there was plenty of) to lay their belongings there and cover it with a towel. Many ppl did this to avoid paying for a locker. Now, idk if I would try this, but I personally didn't see anyone going through anyone's belongings. The first ride we went on was the Colossal Curl. Now you see, I'm a thrill seeker. I've jumped out of a plane twice, gone ATV riding, rode in a chopper twice, and the list goes on, but this particular water ride, had my nerves in a mess when it was over. This ride almost made me think it was going to flip over. It def had me shaken, so yes, it was a great ride, so was Big Daddy Falls. Went on a few other rides, as well as, including kiddie rides with my 3yr old son. He was fearless, and wanted to get on all the big rides. I forgot the name of this mini water park for kids next to Big Daddy Falls, but there were so many kids shooting water at everyone that I had to sit down and recoup. It was like a water war zone LOL. Overall, great place to enjoy with family and friends. To the women wearing swimsuit thongs, come on, there's lots of kids around. Yall don't need to seek attention everywhere you go! The first time was just a day pass in the afternoon which is a great deal if you don't want to stay the night. And most recently we stayed the night and had a great time! We booked the kid cabin suite which can accommodate up to 7 people but I think realistically and comfortably, it would be 5. It comes with balcony access, a pull out sofa bed, a queen size bed, a bunk bed, a full size bed and one bathroom. The room is fairly spacious but could use either a bigger table and or an addition half bath at least to accommodate up to 7 people. This was great for us as we had 4 adults and one toddler. There are quite a few attractions here besides the water park. They have a pretty extensive arcade, glow in the dark putt, bowling, story time for kids, ropes course, laser tag and multiple restaurants! Obviously their main attraction is their huge indoor water park! They have things for babies to adults to try here! But I would say their main water attractions are geared more for small babies to middle schoolers. There are multiple water slides for all ages and there's a HUGE bucket of water that dumps about 1,000 gallons of water every 5 mins! Pretty cool! We added on the breakfast buffet for which I would highly recommend. This isn't your typical hotel breakfast! Their offerings were pretty vast and even included a MTO omelette station! The buffet was actually pretty good but the restaurants are awful. Every attraction is designed so it is cost prohibitive unless you spend a ton on unlimited passes. I paid 24.00 to pay one fast round if laser tag with my 2 kids and myself. I called to ask for trash pickup and towels and ai said someone would be up "immediately." An hour later and no one came. I searched the internet for the front desk number (there is no lodge info at all in the rooms) and got voicemail so I left a message. Still waiting to see if they're going to come. Parking is somehow 20.00 a day. We have a handicap placard and there were very, very few handicap spots, we never got one and ended up having to park on the opposite end of the lodge every time, with an Autisic kiddo at risk elopement. The noise. Yes, it's for families. Kids are loud. But, who are these purely that are letting their kids run up and down the hall screaming every night. It's not just the kids, the adults are busy yelling at the kids to slow down. I've gotten so little sleep because it's so loud all the time. I will not be back. It cost my family of 6 far less to rent a 6 bed 4 bath oceanfront house in NC. Oh, and something I saw mentioned a lot- one of our adjoining rooms wasn't ready when we arrived. We arrived at about 4:15 and check in was at 4. It wasn't ready until 5. Not a huge deal for us if everything else had been cool, but it's just another thing in the list I saw mentioned a lot. It gets 2 stars instead of 1 because 1. The staff that I encountered was nice. 2. It's nice to find a place big enough for all of us. 3. The kids like the water park- it's a good size, but not big enough to justify the price.

The front desk staff was kind and showed me around, and I found a room that felt like a great fit for a welcome gathering for the growing Working Families Party in Virginia. I submitted my request in late December. I expected things to move slowly because of the holidays, but when I hadn't heard back by January 5, I called to follow up. I was told my application had been received, everything looked good, and I received verbal confirmation that we could host the event pending one final approval. I followed up by email to confirm details and waited. After six days with no response, I followed up again by email. Two days later, I called and learned the Sales & Event Coordinator was out due to medical issues. That is completely understandable. However, since final approval was supposedly with someone above her, I didn't understand why no one else could give clarity. I even offered to share my contact information with the events director or whoever was responsible for final approval. Two days later, on a Friday afternoon, I received a call letting me know the event was not approved due to its political affiliation. I understand that not every organization allows political gatherings. What's frustrating is that this wasn't communicated upfront or handled quickly. Instead, I spent 21 days waiting for confirmation, only to be denied three weeks before my event, leaving me scrambling to find a new location for a Sunday afternoon gathering. If political events aren't allowed, that should be clearly stated on the website or addressed early in the review process. A simple, transparent policy would have saved me a lot of time and stress.
