Absolutely a great experience from beginning to end. Booking was easy and I love that there were no hidden fees. We really wanted it to go well since we were taking our mother for her 91st birthday. My husband and son (6) absolutely loved their parasailing experience! They did a 10am trip and since the whole party was there early they were able to depart ahead of schedule. What can I say they were professional, knowledgeable, polite and experienced in and around the waterways and out on the coast. This was my first and my families (2 Adults, 2 teenagers, and 5year old) first. We did the banana boat and did jet skis afterwards. We did not reserve the jetski's, but after enjoying the banana boat so much, my family wanted to try out the jet skis, which there happen to be spare reservation slots. Adventure parasail was truly a great experience. I went with my friend for her birthday. We had the first flight out which I believe was 8:00am. We were on a boat with about 11 people and two captains. Mask were not required since we were outside. They do allow observers on the boat for a cheaper price if they are not interested in parasailing. When we arrived, we had a reservation for the 800ft; however, because it was my friend's birthday, they upgraded us to 1000ft. Which was very nice. As a person is gets sea sick, I did okay on the boat. I didn't become nauseous or anything. Prior to sailing, they ask if we wanted to get dipped in the water. We said no because we had somewhere else to be afterwards, but a few others did. Overall we had a great time. We were able to see dolphins as were cruising back to the port. read more

This place was AMAZING. We booked the 9am 1,000 ft trip and the crew was super fun and welcoming. They made us feel super safe the entire time with most people on the boat being first-time flyers. If you have a chance to go out with Chad and Dudley don't turn it down! They had fun with the group, talked to everyone and got to know them, and played music the whole time. We saw dolphins everywhere and even manta rays! This is an experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. Also, highly recommend the photo package purchase! Parasailing - another activity to check off the bucket list! From the moment we arrived we were treated wonderfully by everyone from the parking attendant to the sales staff. We had a blast parasailing this past summer with Captain Mickey's (otherwise known as Rudee Inlet Parasail). The crew, Captain John and his first mate, were fantastic, experienced and professional. We had such a great time joking around with them and the other passengers. We bought the photo package and they took so many pictures. I still smile every time I see them - those pictures just keep reminding me what a great day we had. The time spent in the boat and not in the air was just as much of a treat. Captain John answered all our questions and even recommended a cab driver to take us down to Harborfest later that evening. We went towards the middle of the day when it was warmest. I can't even begin to explain how great it was to be parasailing above the water enjoying the sights and the cool breeze. We opted to get dunked and it felt so good to have the cool ocean water splash on us. The ride itself was so smooth - easy up and down. If you have not yet done this, you must! We will definitely be going again. read more

Tried parasailing this past weekend with my out of town cousins for the 1,000 foot parasail. We did it first thing in the AM on memorial day weekend. Still, it was just my two younger cousins, their mother, my boyfriend and I on the boat. It was pleasant and our two operators were very friendly. The weather was perfect but it was very windy and choppy. When they found out it was only my two younger cousins (probably 80 and 100 pounds) and myself (115) going up - they swapped out the parachute for a smaller one due to the heavy wind so we had about 10 minutes to sit in the inlet and admire the nice homes and mansions there and wave at fisherman. The ride out was fun and soon we were off. 1000 feet above the oceanfront is pretty high and the view was nice - but because of the wind and waves or something I felt pretty sick from about 4 minutes up until the end. When they finally started to tow us in I actually knew I was going to throw up but was able to hold it so as not to spew all over my poor innocent younger cousins and they saw and unhooked me first so I could do my business off the side of the boat. Good men. They were nice about unhooking me and such and told me to eat crackers and some ginger ale when we landed but I felt sick for about another 30 minutes. It was pretty and I'm glad I did it - but perhaps I'm too old for that crap now... after all - I did just turn the big 3-0! But seriously, it's worth it if you are in town or if you are a local and have never tried. It was a new view of the beach and it was beautiful with nice friendly guys. read more

I booked a 1000 foot adventure with the picture/video package for 5:30 on Saturday. They called about 2 hours before and canceled because of weather, which is understandable but then the next day they called me again and canceled because a boat went down. I had two people booked for the most expensive adventure and it's just aggravating that they cancelled on us twice. I understand the weather but I mean come on one boat goes down and they had to cancel. They wouldn't move anyone else even though they canceled us twice and tries to get me to book late in the afternoon on Sunday. I gave them two starts and not one because they were proactive with the refund and the calling. read more

I really loved our parasailing experience here. After begging my boyfriend to take me on my birthday (he is terrified of heights), he finally relented and we went up in the air! I went parasailing before in Lake Geneva, but that was on a lake and this was very different. We paid for the highest you could go so we got a lot of height. My boyfriend told me you don't feel as high as you actually are, which was good for him since he is afraid of heights. He also said the ride was very smooth which is good for people who get motion sickness like him. However, the boat ride can be very bumpy on windy days which is something to think about if you get motion sickness and are thinking about going parasailing. When you look down, you can see the shadow of the parasail. My boyfriend thought it was a giant sting ray following us, which ended up being a funny mix up. We had great guides with us who were informative and helpful. I felt very safe in their hands and they created a great atmosphere. Not to get to the best part: the view. The view of Virginia Beach from the top of a parasail is amazing. You see the strip that goes on for miles. It's also amazing to look out into the ocean. It goes on for miles and shear vastness of it can be breathtaking. If you decide to go I highly recommend you go the absolute highest you can go and get the dip, you have that drop in your stomach as you go down and your feet touch the water. Definitely check Rudee Inlet parasail if you get an opportunity. read more

My very first time parasailing, and now, I want to go again and again lol. This experience was amazing, and the people were amazing. From the time we walked up to the spot, we were greeted, helped right away. I made a reservation about a week previous, and also used a coupon and got a free pic! The captain and staff on the boat were amazing, very friendly, answered any questions, joked with us, definitely cool people. They dont remind you that they work on tips either, so no awkward feeling! Prices are decent also, depending on your heights. I did the 1200 feet, and that was $85, plus tax, so it was $114.50, not bad. They rent jet skis also, but I dont think the prices are reasonable for those lol...maybe next time! read more

Have lived in Virginia Beach for over 40 years and have never been parasailing. Our first time was amazing and Captain Dennis and Andy made it so memorable. Fairly inexpensive, safe thrill ride for my wife's birthday. We'd eaten a bunch of spicy beef tacos for lunch in the parking lot and as we rode out to sea, I could feel my stomach bubbling. I tried to ask the guy on the boat what I should do in case of a special emergency, but the motor was too loud to have a thorough conversation about it. We were strapped in and away we went - up into the sky. I enjoyed the view for about a minute before my stomach gave way and... well, things got a little messy. My wife was sickened by it and became extremely nauseous. Seagulls started following us. One almost pecked my hand. We were lowered into the boat and we just acted like nothing was wrong. At some point the guy on the boat said "It stinks out here today", but I pretended not to hear him. read more

This outfit was really fun to deal with. They take you out off of the beach just enough to catch a good ocean breeze, and then up you go! There was a really good breeze because we went out at 8am, and it was a ton of fun and just a little brisk, but it was sweet. They slowed down just enough at one point to dunk us into the water out in the middle of where you know the water is effin deep, and it was fun. DEFINITELY DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I paid over $300 for my friends & I to go parasailing to get the WRONG SD card when it was over. I understand shit happens, but when I called the next day, they expected me to drive an hour (twice) to drop off the other people's SD card & then back again to get mine from them. The girl on the phone said, "that's not my problem. You can bring it or mail it. This hardly ever happens. " So mind you, we went parasailing where we can't take our phones, to have ZERO pictures or videos. Fast forward to today (7/11), when the other guests where supposed to be back in town to drop off my SD card. I called to see if there was an approximate time, maybe I could save a trip & meet the other people there. The girl on the phone got nasty & I asked for the manager, who informed me that it happened a lot that day. They wanted to give me a STRANGERS phone number to sort it out myself. I'm so unhappy with this company. I HATE that I wasted so much money to not have photos. I'm a photographer, and I treasure my photos. I paid for a service, & I expected to receive what I paid for. We called a few days before to make reservations for a 1:00 sail. When we got to the place, we werent on the list. We were still able to sign up for that time. We used a coupon from their website for a free photo. One star off for our group leaving late. Our sailor got there late so we waited an hour. Once we got sailing, we were good to go. We chose the 1000ft parasail and it was great. The sailors even took pics with our cameras. It was nice, just a late start. The guys were cool though. read more
