Tried to grab a quick lunch. Operative word is tried! Went through the menu pamphlets outside. I liked the choices. Place was completely empty. I figured I could eat in and get back to work. I am masked and respectful. However, the owner/manager would not take my order nor seat me unless I shared my contact info. Why is that? It's not a city requirement to combat Covid spread. Nope! Must confirm cell number and name, etc! I support the city's efforts to contain and combat the spread of Covid. I'm ON BOARD! However, participating in marketing strategies to retain customers, is not a requisite to having a meal. I simply went elsewhere.

I ordered from this establishment for the second time because I enjoyed the fried shrimp and French fries. This time I ordered the fried shrimp, friend chicken tenders, corn on the cob, and broccoli. I enjoyed the sauce the corn came in so I dipped my broccoli into which made it even better. However. I wasn't too happy with the chicken tenders. There was one large tender and then a small tender plus the 6 fried shrimp. After biting into the large one I noticed the texture was a bit off so I broke it apart to see that it was wet looking. That turned me off so I couldn't finish it because it made me think the chicken wasn't chicken or cleaned properly. So I ate the shrimp and vegetables and will take a break from ordering from this place.

BE AWARE OF THIS POOR SERVICE, LAZY WAITRESS & MANAGER RESTAURANT!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! I wish I could give it a negative 0. We should have read the reviews before going to this place. We spent a lot of money at this restaurant for my birthday celebration, and the service was the worst in history. I told the waitress we were out of town and it was our first time eating there. I asked her is it free refills and she stated yes. Then I asked her what would she recommend. She told me the Dungeness crab and shrimp boil. I took her suggestion. It was not seasoned and tastes like butter so I asked her for some obey seasoning. I never got it. I ended up stopping another waitress on the floor and she brought it to us. The only thing that was good was the Ginger ale. Oh by the way the so called free refills were ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE please take a look at my receipt attached . I went to the manager, Paul the so called owner so he said, to inquire why we were paying additional for refills. He stated that you pay for different drinks wherever you go.. umm no, you do not!! Only this money hungry restaurant. I explain to him that I asked the waitress if there were free refills and she said YES. If she was trained properly, she should have told us yes for the same flavor drink and $2.99 if you choose a different one. Paul didn't care and he did absolutely nothing about it. Good customer service means 100%.. PERIOD!! This place is not your good seafood restaurant so please go elsewhere to get your moneys worth and good customer service. We decided not tip her at all because she only came back once in the timeframe we were seated. We will never visit this restaurant again.

The server and his service was awesome. The food we order was good and hot how I like it. The drinks did take awhile to come out but it was pretty good(blue Hawaiian). It was a nice crowd as well that came for karaoke night. However the bathroom is straight disgusting to the point I held my pee until I left. We also had to wait over 10 mins to be seated and there was plenty of empty seats. They didn't have a kids menu like I would hoped for.

Food and Drinks were great had a great time with my family For the weekend visiting this great restaurant our server sparkles awesome young lady Thank you for having us from NYC

The entry way is a great photo op.

We flew in to the Philly airport and were starving!!! The ONLY criteria for a restaurant was "it needs to be close". Wow!!! We are so glad Ocean Crab was close. It was delicious. We were greeted promptly, our temperature was taken (we appreciated that) and seated. The menu is great with lots of seafood options. We each order a fish and shrimp combo, mine with catfish his with tilapia. It was served up quickly and it was plentiful. The seafood was fantastic! He got onion rings I got French fries. Both delicious. The restaurant was spacious and very clean. I would certainly recommend this place.

The shrimp was perfectly cooked, the slaw and sauce were fresh and tangy, and the bread was perfectly crispy and soft at the same time. I left thinking, "I probably don't need to come back." Fast-forward to today... I'm glad I did. We stopped at the Philadelphia Pike location and got Cajun Kate's Anniversary/Christmas Seafood Gumbo. This is a lovely little spot with great New Orleans-style decor, and the woman working the counter was fantastic. If I ever go on Jeopardy! and Cajun Kate's is a category, I'm feeling pretty confident. She gave us samples of the jambalaya and smoked sausage, and both were delicious. Then came the gumbo. Wow. Tons of different flavors, and you could taste everything. Nothing overpowered anything else--it all worked together beautifully. Cajun Kate's is officially back in our eating rotation. We took our gumbo over to Apothecary Brewing and grabbed a flight. We liked every beer we tried. They were clean and crisp--the way beer should be. A couple could have used a little more flavor for my taste, but overall, a very solid flight. Apothecary is a nice little spot with a fun, chatty crowd. And if you're looking for somewhere to grab a beer and bring dinner with you, this is a great combination. Cajun Kate's + Apothecary Brewing = a pretty good night in Claymont.

There is duck bowling, which means they're small balls and pins, but they're only four lanes, so if you don't make a reservation, you won't be able to bowl. The families that were playing were enjoying themselves. I would come here to bowl and have specific, easy-to-make drinks. We grabbed seats at the bar because the restaurant seemed full, and sports were on the TVs. The bar seats were comfy, with backs on them, and there was a bar to rest your foot. It took a minute to get service, as it seems the bartender is the only one for the whole place. Maybe they need another bartender when the bowling alley and restaurant are both complete. I had an espresso martini, which was too sweet for me. My husband had a mule and thought it was good. My second drink was a tall Titos vodka soda. The bartender informed us that the menu changes on Tuesday, so they have no more crab, which is what I wanted. I was going to order the crab dip and the seafood mac & cheese. We pivoted to fried green tomatoes that were a little too breaded and cooked for me, but the sauce was good. We did get the seafood mac & cheese, but it did not have much shrimp on it. The shells were overcooked and combined, so you had to separate them and cover them in sauce, or the bite didn't have enough flavor. Also, the cheese sauce was a little soupy.

Staff was friendly and on point from beginning to end. They do take the dress code seriously, I saw people get turned away for athletic wear. It's clear on their website and not asking too much for an upscale night out. Prices weren't ridiculous, especially since portions were plentiful. A lot of people were leaving with leftovers. The specialty drinks are a bit pricey tho. The cornbread and Mac n cheese are a must order the moment you sit down to start things off. Both served in a small skillet, perfect to share. The cornbread bread was flavorful and the butter that comes on top you def want to let that melt right in! The Mac n cheese noodles were a little softer than I would of preferred but the blend of cheeses and the crisp crust on top made me not worry about the doneness of the noodles, it was top notch! We went classic with the entrees - catfish with gulf shrimp. The catfish was cooked perfect super tender and flaky. I wasn't thrilled with the shrimp, for "gulf shrimp" as they listed in the menu they were a lot Smaller than I expected and a little tough. The sauce they came in was nice. I would have liked some kind of sauce on the side for the catfish. The collard green rice was delicious and the broccoli that came with it was prob the most delicious broccoli I've ever had, just cooked well in lots of butter! The other entree we got was the fried chicken. Really delicious and tender. It came with a sweet potato side that was yummy and a classic collard greens Even tho we were stuffed we had to try the bread pudding, it was served with a Side of delicious ice cream.
