    Spinach Omelette
    Kathy W.

So yes I do quite a few ratings of airport restaurants due to my travels and this is a new one in the Philadelphia airport and man is it good I was here for breakfast and the finished omelette was simply outstanding I don't even feel like I'm in a airport restaurant. The caramelized onions in this omelette or to die for, Nice fresh spinach in the sauce is also tasty. Plenty of bacon and a wonderful serving of salad. Great sourdough bread to go with it It is a brand new restaurant located in between terminal c and b, service was great yet still early in the morning. If you're looking for a good full meal in the airport I highly recommend

Very nice restaurant to wait for your flight and grab a quick bites to eat. My Poke bowl and my husband's Fried Chicken sandwich were both tasty. The waiter was attentive and friendly. I also liked that the atmosphere was calm and quiet instead of the normal hectic airport restaurant. Prices were typical of airport restaurant, not cheap. We would stop in here again if we come through Philadelphia Airport.

They just opened about a month ago. Oysters are fresh and sweet. The fried chicken sanndwhich, lobster roll and Avocado toast was excellent. Located in Terminal A across from the Philadelphia Sports Edition. Great, fast service. Highly recommend.

We went in winter but I'm sure it's packed in summer. The Crab Cake Sandwich is a must. It's actually full of lump crab meat instead of just being a bunch of breading and filler. We also got the Loaded Cheese Fries and they were total comfort food. The portions are huge, Great service and we even forgot our cell phone and they kept it for us to pick up. Wonderful group of people.

Since there were no available tables outside, we were placed inside in a corner table with no air circulation. The humidity felt unbearable and really played a major impact on my experience. I'm sure if I came during a mid spring day I would've had a better experience. Food: the food is the only reason I would come here again. I got a crab cake that was very robust with a fair amount of filler but had a good amount of real crabmeat. My son got the quesadilla, and it wasn't anything special. The salmon was small and flavorful. Service: also was not anything special or bad. Our waitress came by twice during our stay. It was a busy afternoon and she was working. It would've been good if they had more staff so that someone could refill our water more frequently. Like I said, the humidity had taken away from our experience. Overall, I wouldn't come here throughout the hot, humid summer months, but I may give it a second try in the winter or spring... maybe.

When we got there we asked for a menu which never came (we had to borrow one from another party), the server brought about 10 plastic cups for our table of 3 but no water and then when she finally brought our food we had to get our own silverware. At one point she turned the TV on for music and had it blasting at 100 although we asked for it to be lowered so we could actually hear our conversations. We also sat for so long that we contemplating leaving without ordering. We waited atleast 50mins before she even came back to take our order. We ordered Fried Shrimps, Potatoes in butter, Gumbo and Spaghetti with Meatballs and Spaghetti with Shrimp. The Fried Shrimp and Potates were good but the Spaghetti on the other hand was terrible. My Dad said it tasted as though they threw a can of Spaghetti-O's in a bowl and added some Shrimp (I can confirm too that's exactly how it tasted). We should've known better than to order Pasta from a Seafood restaurant. Not a good experience at all!

This is a new location in a strip mall not far from Philly airport…read more Went for lunch and though the doors open at 11am, all the items were setup closer to 11:25am, so if you are in a rush, plan accordingly. The lunch buffet selection is expansive but not as much as dinner (if you want steamed snow crab or steak). They had myriad options including sushi, sashimi, cocktail peeled shrimp, salt and pepper head-on shrimp (one of my favorites if you like to get your hands into it and not afraid to devein the shrimp yourself), lightly fried snow crabs (another favorite), seafood (shrimp, clams, mussels) in a sichuan sauce (fantastic sauce), pork belly, ribs, wings, salmon, noodles, rice, hot pot and ramen. Some items like the baked scallops in their shell had more imitation crab meat and a few bay scallops but they also had items you don't find at typical buffets like Iceland Whelks, Baby Octopus, etc. Some of the items were better than the $100 buffets at Las Vegas but for only $21.95. A wide variety of mini boba, flavored iced teas, etc were also included. The sleepers were the American Chinese items like chicken with broccoli, beef with broccoli, walnut shrimp, etc. I loved the braised greens (collards?) which were slightly sweet with a garlicy finish, the green beans and the perfectly cooked (not too mushy) chunks of fresh broccoli. The only item that seemed to be a bit dry was the roasted leg of lamb, but it could just be that day, because another review raved about it. So this is not the place if you are looking for high-end omakase or a chef's tasting menu, but I was pleasantly surprised at the variety and taste of the buffet and the value. They were very good about refilling the wide range of items as soon as the container got to about half its quantity. So the next time you are at the Philly airport, take the 10-minute drive and try out this place as the antidote to the mini bag of pretzels you get on the flight. Dessert selection is OK and in line with an Asian buffet, but they also have fresh fruit. You can also get a to-go box by weight, I believe. Will be back as now I don't mind giving someone a ride to the airport if I can squeeze in a visit to Umi.
