Ocean Curry Indian Restaurant - what a name. It doesn't turn me on because although it's not quite logical, I have an aversion to fish curry, but with prawn curry, I'm just fine and this place does a few good prawn dishes.
The small, unassuming shopfront is more a takeaway or cafe than restaurant, but the food is really quite good. They do a lot of pakoras, which I really like and a nice range of nann and samosa. What makes them different? They do a yummy egg plant pakora and a chicken chilli naan. there's a menu item I'm kinda keen to try; it's called Prawn Guissado, which is really Spanish for stew - in this case a coconut stew with mustard and king prawns...
Prices are good, with the little chickpea pakoras at $1.00 each, the samosa at $2.00 and the main curries at around $13.00. read more
