I love Ocean Nails. They are professional and do the best! My nails last longer and look so pretty.

DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE.... I'm not sure if they ran out or powder or whatever the case but they used some type of cement on my nails for acrylic I've been trying for days to get them off ... I've gotten my nails done for years and this has never happened. I only go to them to get a nail fixed if my tech is not available. They treated me different because I'm not a regular . .. but besides that whats important is I need help to figure out how to remove cement off my nails ... I'm upset to give them even a one star read more

just got my nails done today (5/3/2021) for 2nd time at this salon. 1st time I went was 2 weeks ago and MiMi did a great job on my mani/pedi. Today another woman (didn't get her name) did my nails and I don't know if she was just having a bad day or what, but you can judge by looking at the pictures I included. I am so in love with this place! I was going to Serenity nails because that was the place someone had recommended and the place was filthy, disgusting and nothing was sanitary. As soon as I came here the people were so kind and you could tell instantly how clean everything was! They brought their tools out in bags that had been in a sterilizer and used liner bags for the pedicures. I will never go anywhere else in Santa Fe. read more

I was hopeful that I found an affordable and convenient place to get my nails done - NOT! I am horrified, concerned and very worried about how short the young woman cut my nails, especially my thumb nails. The nail on my right thumb is so short that I can see the pink flesh from under my nail popping out. :( I can barely touch anything with my thumbs. I'm praying and hoping that my thumb nails grow back quickly and that I don't get an infection in the mean time. :( read more

I was helped by this lady mimi she was rude she cut my cuticles left them bleeding and still blamed me saying my cuticles where dry. I will never go back too that salon. I called the salon when I got home and told them I didn't like my nails at all, I asked the lady if they could fix them an she said "yes come back at 6". When I got there instead of Just fixing my nails or apologizing for cutting my cuticles they asked me why didn't I said right away that I didn't like them. I didn't said anything right away because the Lady doing my nails was already being rude and she made me feel uncomfortable. After I said that, three employees started screaming and the situation got really bad to the point that we had to call the police. I told them that if they didn't want to fix my nails to give my money back so, the lady was gonna start cutting my nails off and my mom told her too soak them and take them off correctly, the lady went off again. If I could give this nail salon a negative zero I would. My nail technician was rude. RUDE as ever. Not gentle and insanely upset at life. I've never in my life time not tipped someone but today I did just that. No tip. And I let her know why. I also tried to give her the benefit of doubt by asking her if she's had a bad day. You know, is there a reason that you are angry and bitter? Nope. She said she was having a good day. I'd hate to see her on her bad days. Oh. And my pedicure sucked. read more

I so wanted to like this place as it's been recommend by several beauty professionals I see and about every other nail salon in SFe is abysmal. I started to get worried after I got an eye roll when I asked to have the shape of my nails amended. But I thought maybe "square with rounded edges" is not the official term for what I like, so I let it slide. (Tho every other nail salon seems to understand this). But then I got an exasperated sigh when I pointed out an edge of my thumbnail was missed with polish. While my nails were drying I could see some issues but I just really wanted to get out of there. When I got home I could see small bubbles on every nail. My cuticles were roughly trimmed and most painted over. The edges of some of my nails were rough with cotton fuzz stuck to them. It looked like I painted my own nails with my left hand. Lol. I ended up taking off the polish ASAP, re-filing my nails and buffing to make them smoother and repainting them. They still look like I painted them with my left hand, but at least they look a bit better. Thank god it was only $19. read more

I've working in the customer service industry for over a decade, so I hate leaving negative comments. But this place is just discriminates against younger people. My sister had her nails done today and did not like how the nail tech was leaving the shape of the nails. My sister let her know (since she's spending over $50 they should care) as nice as she could to not offend the nail tech, and instead of adjusting or letting my sister know she wasn't done or ANYTHING. The nail tech gives her the stink eye and ignores her. I get it she's young, but nails ain't cheap honey!!! She wasn't happy with the outcome of her nails PERIOD, but she was nice enough not to complain. After that they get offended for not getting tipped because of neglect.! Sorry guys! Just because I am nice I left two stars when you only deserved one! read more

I had a horrible experience at this nail salon. I came for a mani/pedi before my wedding because it was seriously the only place in town I could find that had openings. After waiting for 20 minutes, having the woman try to switch out the color I had chosen, and explaining to her that this was for my wedding and showing her pictures of what I wanted, she still did a horrible job! My manicure looked super sloppy and rushed. I brought it up to the owner and asked if they could fix it to make it look more neat. She proceeded to tell me that it was because I had "bad cuticles", not because the nail tech rushed and did a careless job. I get manicures regularly and have never had any issues. She was very rude and in the end they wouldn't fix the sloppy job or help in any way. My friends and family agreed the manicure looked like a mess. I was very dissatisfied and will not be going back! read more

I was badly in need of a pedicure, I called several salons who were all booked for weeks, so I scheduled at this salon since they had an opening, despite the less than stellar reviews posted here. The person who met me at the door was rude, the man who did my pedicure did not utter one word to me, only made a grunt when I asked him a question. Not a good experience, will not return. read more

Recently moved to Santa Fe from the San Francisco Bay Area & have been looking for a good nail place...I need look no further! Walked in this morning without an appointment, was greeted courteously & seated immediately in one of their comfy & sparkling clean spa chairs. Kenny did a wonderful job on both my hands & feet (my cuticles & calluses definitely needed special attention) and other than suggesting I use gel polish to make my manicure last longer made no effort to up-sell added services. Walked out in about an hour totally satisfied...I shall return & highly recommend Ocean Nails to others! read more

The location is very sketchy. The lack of warmth from the owner and the other workers makes you feel they don't really like you or what they're doing. I had three people doing different things to me. My nails (a powder dip lasted less than a week!! Normally they last 3 weeks! The owner a woman was rough, she got polish on my toes and I had to ask for it to be removed. I made an appointment for 1 PM today at this spa. I made the appointment several days ago. When I arrived just now, five minutes early, they informed me that they had canceled my appointment. They said that they had called me to confirm my appointment and since they weren't able to reach me, they canceled it. Of course, I never received any call or message. The woman in the spa shamed me loudly, in front of other people, for not confirming my appointment that I had made on the phone a few days previously. Of course, they did not mention this requirement When I made the appointment. I understand that sometimes mistakes are made, but this is a ridiculous policy and they were very rude and dismissive and its implementation. I will never go back, and I will tell everyone else I know to not go back as well. It's too bad, because they had decent pedicures. But this was terrible customer service. Extremely rude. read more

Cleanest And most Detail oriented Nail Salon I have been to in Santa Fe! They use liners and gloves then on top of that during Covid they have you wash your hands before touching the polishes and they clean out the pedicure tub with sanitizing wash. They do a great job at cutting out the nail so I don't get ingrowns. Plus they have a good attitude. read more

This was a really great find when I was in Santa Fe New Mexico. I had my nails done every two weeks or so with the powder dip. Totally recommend the powder dip's last longer than regular gel. Definitely will come back when I'm in SantaFe. read more

My husband and I were in our Motor Home in Santa Fe and both of us needed pedicures, we choose this place because of the reviews it had received. They did such a good job was impressed with the cleaness, used sterilized packets to work on us. My only negative comment it is I wish they were in Wichita, I would dump the current shop I use. Very clean, I love that they use tub liners for the pedicures. Great massage, my nails look great and everyone was very nice friendly.

I am doing this on behalf of my mother who doesn't have a yelp account. She was VERY disappointed after last pedi appointment. She had been there several times before with no complaints, however this last time she was rudely greeted by Mimi and felt as though she was inconveniencing her although she was the lady who set the appointment. Pedicure was poorly done, skin was cut so badly it was bleeding and still is red and tender. Anybody could have painted her nails better than a "professional". Don't give them business anymore. This is a ONE-derful place to have manicures & pedicures. Andy gave me a spectacular pedicure, and mani too. But he had a hard job with my toes. Due to traveling it had been several months since I'd had a pedi and, honestly, afterwards I wanted to call him Dr Andy because it felt like healing work that he did on my poor sad toes. The salon is so clean it sparkles and everyone who works there was friendly and welcoming. I will be going back. The only upset I have is with Yelp because there were other very positive reviews that I can no longer see. My experience was neutral if not sub par. The staff wasn't very friendly or forthcoming. Also my manicure was jagged and there were striations in my clear coat. The lady was rough as hell with my cuticles, I was scared. I even heard another client complain about possible pain and from what I could hear she was told she "already had a cut". I made a short-notice appointment here and walked into the salon excited to be pampered, but I was very disappointed. From the moment I walked in, I felt as if I was being rushed through an assembly line. I spent a total of about 10 minutes in the chair for my pedicure - practically no massage, she barely got any dead skin off of my rough heels, and the paint job is about as impressive as something I would do myself. My gel manicure had a much better result, but the technician was clearly still in a hurry and I'm fairly sure the color she used was different from what I had picked. Maybe I should have specified that I wanted to see their gel swatches? Once she had finished painting, she just told me to put each hand under the light one more time, then moved on to the next customer. Another employee took over after they dried by placing a big glob of lotion in my palm and saying "Okay, you're done." And as I rubbed in my lotion, my technician turned and asked if she could have my chair for another customer, so I had to hurry away. I wasn't acknowledged again until I stepped up to the counter to pay. If you're looking for a quick, decent manicure, this is a fine choice. But there is no pampering in this spa. Well...it was clean and nice, but my girlfriend and I were in the process of getting our pedicures when we were asked to upgrade our pedicure service, which would mean more $$$ for them. That upgrade consisted of leg scrub, lotion, hot towel and massaging calves. I do not like being asked DURING my service. I am vulnerable and trying to relax. At close inspection after I left the salon, I noticed the nail polish on most my toes did not cover the entire nail area. After being on the road for a month I was desperately in need of nail help! I would say it was a below average experience at best. The polish job was terrible - already starting to peel off my nails after 6 hours. The toes - awful. For whatever reason they sanded them with an electric file, creating an uneven surface for polish that now looks lumpy and thick. They did not put polish on the end of my toenails so those look rough and white. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went in as a walk in on a Wed. Afternoon around 2:00. I waited awhile and was finally helped by this woman named Mimi. She was incredibly rude. It almost seemed like she was trying to bully me.
