The complex is small with a beautiful well-maintained courtyard. There is a sense of community and safety at these apartments. Friendly neighbors many with cute pets. You can feel that the ocean is within a mile or so (street deadends at the beach) and there is good natural light. The area has very cute shops and many things are within walking distance. Aquatic facility close w Olympic size pool. Grocery store across the street. When you walk a few blocks West you can actually see the Ocean. Even though its on a popular street you do not hear it a night. It's very quiet, which is nice because my last place was not :( Overall I highly recommend it and think you should at least come and see for yourself. The photos on the web and even viewing it from the street don't do it justice. Oh and yes there's a gate to buzz in and the nice iron screen doors with double locks on each unit, bonus. You have the option of getting a monthly parking spot at the building. Or you can get city parking for $40/year which is a steal! And there are actually places to park, not unlike some areas of LA where cars are crammed like sardines and you drive for 30 mins to find a spot after a long day of work and then walk a ways..... Having a property manager who is friendly, fixes things, and lives on site is priceless! Nice residents. Grateful.

We lived there with our dog and absolutely loved having easy access to the dog park, along with everything San Vicente has to offer. The location was also perfect for quick access to the 405. One thing we really appreciated was the mix of residents, young families, college students, and young professionals, which gave the building a community feel. Some tenants were especially friendly and social, while others kept more to themselves, which was a nice balance. It was also great being in a pet-friendly building with other dogs and cats around. The walkability of the neighborhood was a huge draw for us as well. We're very thankful for our time there (just shy of 3 years) and have a lot of great memories from living in the building.

Covered and gated parking is a huge plus. Living next door to the park was such a great convenience for our dog and child. We were initially worried about the noise from having a unit immediately next to a tennis court, but we honestly could rarely even hear anything. Rosemary and Stephan were great landlords and Javier took care of any maintenance requirements very quickly. The team gets to know the tenants and really puts a personal touch on things, as opposed to the large corporate apartment complexes. I highly recommend checking out Brentwood by the Park as a potential place to live.

They're incredibly accessible by phone, email, or in person, and the office being open seven days a week was a huge plus. The maintenance team is also top-notch--quick to respond and often able to resolve issues the same day, even on weekends. Pool and jacuzzi are always clean and was a great amenity. Management is always making improvements to the community, which made CentrePointe a great place to live. It's definitely a place we'll miss!

This is my 5th apartment in LA county where I truly had SO many issues beyond count. Summarizing some of the goods and bad below: Pros: Fair security deposit and timing on paying the deposit after move out Security guard is friendly and makes you feel better about the garage parking Great location in west LA, generally safe neighborhood, proximity to LAX Modern security and access controls (app instead of key fob) Maintenance and front office staff are fast to respond and generally helpful Renovated units, amenities. They even added a water line for the fridge that I brought with me Cons: Homeless permanently living on selby ave (right out back from the complex) to which the city won't do anything about it. While you pay extraordinary rents. Unit inspection checklist Our unit was renovated in some ways but off putting in others, holes in walls, scrapes in walls, dirty wall switches, no door sweeps, missing blinds, etc. when I first moved in and documented all this it took 6 months to get any resolution as I was told (emergency repairs only during COVID) Thieves/homeless casing the security guard hours and stealing laundry from the communal laundry room and/or scavaging dumpsters for recyclables (our comforter and several towels were stolen right after the security guard finished up in the morning. security cameras did nothing nor did the police) Mice/rats, roaches, and silverfish sightings are a frequent occurrence. We did get complimentary spraying twice a month to help combat this. Apartment unit Leaks, leaks, leaks. Our bedroom was situated under a balcony and a 30 year building was not designed with water in mind. Our bedroom ceiling leaked multiple times over the course of 4 years and management would just skim over it and paint instead of permanently fixing the issue. They decided to permanently fix the issue the week of our move out, how convenient. Note this involved all of our clothes getting doused as well as carpet in the bedroom which probably had mildew and mold under it. Luckily it wasn't a massive flood since we were home but it could've been much worse. Again, their solution was for us to use our renters insurance even though the landlord is responsible for drying in the apartment. Garage Leaks Several times my car had calcified water leaked onto it from the old, corroded Plumbing in the parking garage. Management would not pay for the detail needed to get it off my car. Their general answer to all issues caused by existing conditions is "use your renters insurance" Greedy, horrible owner company While the on site management were decent people (shout out to Doug and Lucia) they were yellow taped behind a greedy corporation who gave no shits for their tenants. My original rent was offered up at a good rate (during Covid) but by 4 years later, grew 15%. This was about 5-10% per year, despite being a good tenant, they don't care. This is to keep up with the obnoxiously priced apartments that are brand new on overland ave. Noise/general comfort This place was horribly noisy, I was on a 3rd floor with no one above me thinking that would be quiet. I was terribly wrong. Not only did I hear the cars whooshing by daily on overland which never ended, I had the most horrible neighbors who would blast radios and slam loud work out equipment anywhere from 2-6 am. In violation of the lease quiet hours, I filed at least 10 noise complaints and it still kept happening. There are also many large dogs in the complex confined to a small patio area so enjoy the all day barking. Even though management claims pets are not allowed (laughable) Pool/gym/bbq The amenities that are included appear lavish at first but you'll quickly realize it's not as nice as it seems. The bbqs were useless and wouldn't heat up. Certain tenants in the complex hog the pool and hot tub at all times, making it less desirable to go in.

When our toilet needed plumbing JC and Carole took care of it no cost to us. When our drain needed to be declogged they took care of it and had a plumber in immediately . When we saw a bug ( roach) in the apt they had it fumigated and exterminator to come within hours of my calling-again at no cost to us. JC has been particularly helpful whenever I need him. I would recommend this apt complex to anyone and we are so happy we went with Moss and company.

She replaced the carpet with wood laminate, had the apartment cleaned, and listened patiently to my list of exceptions, checked upon moving in. There is so much sunlight in these cozy apartments. The pool area is often empty, at most with a couple of other people. It is not difficult to walk to restaurants, the town center, or to UCLA. I think this is one of the highest quality apartments in Westwood, for certain. Some things to note are that the laundry is shared by floor, but that there are only 20 or so units per floor. The property managers may also live in the building. Walid is a very chill security guard and you will see him now and then. The residents are friendly, in comparison to those at The Glendon or even The Legacy. There is a very neat and well maintained drinks machine in the lobby. It is always a relief to walk into the well designed foyer of the building, coming back from the outside world. There is always a feeling of safety and respite. I enjoyed speaking to the staff on daily occasions. Paula, JC, and Carole have been great.

My rating for the…read morebuilding would be 2 stars, but after the absolute hell the building management put my husband and I through, I would give them 0 stars if I could. If ever there was an emergency (flood, fire, etc), I would strongly warn against relying on Decron to follow through with their ethical and legal obligations to protect and respect their tenants. And make sure you have renter's insurance because if anything happens, you are on your own. I'll start with general notes about the building and then tell you about the complete nightmare that was the flood. The pros to the building are that it's a few short blocks to the beach and Main Street, has covered parking, and it's rent-controlled. That is about it. The first thing we noticed after moving into the building are some of the security issues. A week after moving in, my husband's bike was stolen from the gated garage (we filed a police report). Our new neighbor had her expensive bike stolen from the garage shortly after moving in as well. A month after moving in, every single package was stolen from the front mail area. I also was threatened in the laundry room by angry anti-maskers because I kindly asked them to wait for me to finish loading the machine before they started loading the machine next to it - thankfully another neighbor was witness to it and intervened on my behalf because I was too shocked to respond! I reported it to management but they said there was nothing they could do. There are also sketchy characters hanging out in the neighborhood, including a man who likes to smoke meth by the front door. (Yelp wouldn't let me upload the picture but YIKES) Finally, not exactly a security issue but definitely a safety issue - the elevators are sketchy, the doors either take forever to close or slam closed, they jerk as they come to a stop, and are regularly out of order. There are also cosmetic and cleanliness issues. The carpets are horribly stained with who knows what (see pictures). The pool sits under the hotel and constantly traps all the stuff that guests throw off the balcony - we've seen fast food, pants, cups, general trash, in the pool the morning after guests were staying there. There is dog urine everywhere. The laundry machines are gross, smell like mold, and are constantly breaking. And weirdly, there aren't apartment numbers on the doors (only on some, and the signs are weirdly mismatched?) so packages and food are constantly delivered to the wrong units. Now for the flood, which was a horrible defining moment in a year of horrible defining moments (the fact that this one was the most horrible should say something). In November 2020, my husband and I returned home from running errands to our ceiling pouring water. We were told by maintenance that the upstairs neighbor had left a sink running and it wasn't that bad, and then part of the ceiling peeled off and landed in front of the building manager, Joseph. We were initially told to plan for a week away from home. When the responses from Decron seemed to be inconsistent and dismissive, we pushed for more information on repairs and inspections - our concerns were brushed off by building manager Joseph, who told us that we should think of it "as a free staycation." In the middle of a raging pandemic, when my husband is high risk, staying at a high-traffic hotel is not a "staycation," it's a nightmare. Without getting into all the gory legal details, we eventually had to hire an attorney because they showed us that rather than protecting their tenants and ensuring a habitable environment by getting the proper tests inspections, they would rather try to push us around to cut costs. Don't be duped by the proximity to the beach. This is far from a beachside retreat - this company is looking out for one thing and one thing only, and that's themselves.

He has helped me find the best apartment for my needs, and even accommodated a last minute change in apartments when my finances changed. He's always been available for questions in his office, and even offered to help with temporary furnishings when my furniture delivery was delayed by two weeks. Separate from that, he's also given me local restaurant recommendations in the area, along with places to go sightseeing. He has made the transition from the east coast to he west coast incredibly seamless! Edgar also deserves a shoutout! When I decided to last minute upgrade my apartment he made sure I had my keys in a timely manner and helped make sure the move in/move out went off without a hitch. I'm incredibly happy with the level of service Eduardo/Edgar have continuously provided since I've moved in. As for the apartments, they're nice with the amenities that you'd definitely want. There are assigned electric charging spots, gas range, central air, parking garage, dishwasher etc. There's also an efficient system for buzzing in food deliveries - no need to run downstairs (or take the elevator) to let deliveries in! I would gladly recommend the Adler to friends if I could first convince them to move to the west coast!
