We had the absolute BEST experience with Jeep Surfari in St. Thomas! This was our first excursion we've ever booked outside of the cruise ship, and it exceeded every expectation. Ask for Meatball-- he was our personal Jeep guide and was absolutely AMAZING. He truly went over and beyond for us. He had cold drinks ready, beach chairs , and made sure we were completely taken care of the entire time. Not only was he fun and personable, but he was incredibly knowledgeable about the island's history and culture. We learned so much while still having a relaxing, unforgettable day. As cruise passengers, we were a little nervous booking independently, but he was very attentive to our ship time and made sure we were back with plenty of time -- zero stress! Booking was easy, and communication throughout the entire process was excellent. My advice: Book early Ask for Meatball Bring cash -- because you are absolutely going to want to tip him well after the amazing tour you'll get! Hands down one of the best excursions we've ever done!

Everything was AMAZING!! Meatball is the BEST! He took us to the most beautiful locations. Let us take our time. So much knowledge about the islands. He answered every question. Hilarious as well!! I honestly can't say which beach we liked better out of the 3 he took us to. Definitely wish we did a full day trip instead of a half a day, but we will come back! Such a fun snorkeling trip. 2 amazing stops to snorkel, pizza delivery, dance party, and beautiful sunset! They picked us up on John Island (most people got on at St Thomas). We saw turtles, sting ray, manta ray, tarpon, and mutton. It was the best thing we did all vacation, 10/10 highly recommend!!!

John & Andy were high energy, fun, and engaging the entire trip. We were hoping to see more turtles but John was able to point 2 out and a lot more marine life which was great! Drinks at the end were good, but if you're looking to drink throughout the trip this may not be the tour for you. I personally didn't mind since I didn't want to be drunk in the water ‍ but to each their own

My family went on the snorkeling pizza sunset cruise. It was recommended by a local and we are soooo happy we listened. CJ, Darien, and John were responsible yet fun and entertaining! Our trip was filled with seeing an array of sea life, a boat pizza delivery, a beautiful sunset and dancing until we docked . My kids had a great time. Our son was given an honorary 4th mate award for his dancing and finding 2 spotted Eagle Ray! I was nervous about my 8 year old going snorkeling but he did great!!! This was a unique experience and worth the money!

What amazing experience. Reasonably priced, booked everything online. You arrive 15 minutes early to check in at their retail shop. Parking is always a challenge in St. Thomas we were fortunate to park at the parking structure across the street. We were greeted by Jamie who was the host for the adventure. She was very nice and friendly the whole trip. Drinks and snacks are included, also after you are done snorkeling alcoholic beverages are available. Our pilot Andy was extremely professional and knowledgeable, as a boat pilot myself whe chatted about the vessel. Which was immaculate and well maintained which put my mind at ease. We went to two locations to snorkel, first was Maho Bay, St. John where we saw several sea turtles which was amazing. Then we went to St. James which is a private island and the reef there was incredible with tons of marine life and we also saw more turtles. They provide the snorkels, masks, fins and a flotation device FYI, we brought our own. The overall experience was amazing I would recommend if you are either vacationing on St. Thomas or St. John. Both Jamie and Andy were excellent hosts every step of the way.

We went out today with CJ and Ren and they were amazing. The trip was amazing. We did see Sea Turtles at both locations Caneel Bay and Christmas Cove at Little St. James. We did not see them while snorkeling, although others on the boat did! I was sea turtle hunting and swam pretty close up on a ~4 ft barracuda in all his glory, lol. The Pizza Pi at Little St. James is made on a boat and delivered by dinghy. Sunset did not disappoint and the drinks were flowing. This is a must! Thank you CJ and Ren!! Until next time

I took the "Do It All Trip: Snorkel, Pizza & Sunset Cruise" tour on February 1, 2024. I paid $104. Before I signed up for the tour at their retail store in Cruz Bay, I asked if they had vegan option for pizza. Both of their staffs who were there then said yes. I asked again when I checked in on the day of cruise, and the staff at the retail store (different person than the two I had spoken with) said yes. But there was no vegan pizza. All pizzas had cheese on them. The captain offered me salad as an alternative, which wasn't an acceptable alternative to pizza in my book. After two snorkeling, I was rather cold and wanted to have something warm. I stayed hungry until we finally came back to Cruz Bay. I asked for a $25 refund for the misinformation and inconvenience I suffered, and they promptly refunded me with an apology, which was nice. In terms of snorkeling locations, since this was a boat tour, I automatically assumed that both locations were somewhere offshore only reachable by a boat. But I was rather disappointed to discover that one of them was Maho Bay which was easily accessible by a car. Since I was staying on St John for a week with a rental car, I had been there multiple times. There was no point for me to pay for a boat ride there. The snorkeling spot was right by the beach where I had been. I wish they gave me a warning when I signed up at Cruz Bay. The other snorkeling location Great St James island was new to me, and I enjoyed seeing many corals and fish there. The captain and crew were professional and cheerful. Overall, I would have enjoyed this tour thoroughly if I wasn't staying on St John, and if I didn't have dietary restrictions.

What a fun evening excursion! First mates Jake, Sierra and Chris were awesome hosts, who kept the energy alive with music, dance and jokes. We enjoyed two snorkeling spots off St John, where I was able to spot several starfish, stingrays, a spotted eagle ray, trunkfish, turtles, giant conch, sand worms and other assorted fish. Sierra and Chris were generous with the drink, and we were provided snacks throughout the afternoon. We stopped at Christmas Cove, where we ate pizza from the famous Pizza Pi boat. We stopped for sunset photos and a celebration, including a conga line. The price is quite reasonable for everything you get in this 6-hour trip. Stop thinking and just book this trip - you will not regret!

We booked the Do it all snorkel trip and at first I was a little hesitant about what we were in store for because of the low price-you know, you get what you pay for. When I saw the boat and felt the energy of the awesome crew, I knew we were in good hands! We had a blast and went to two great snorkel spots. Christmas Cove was our favorite. Super clear water and we were blessed to see two dolphins swimming at the bottom! The pizza was great, the music was great and the cocktails were the best! I mean who doesn't love a Painkiller and a free for all ice chest with unlimited beer! 10/10 recommend!

My son and I were on St. Thomas for 2 weeks last October helping with disaster relief and found the Ocean Safari shop. We were looking for shirts to purchase as souvenirs. Thanks Holly for a great day out on the water! Holly is professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and has tons of experience. It was a windy day with a tough swell but she helped us make of the day, taking us to cool places and having some good laughs along the way. My issue (the reason I am giving a 3/5) is the back office bungled my payment and I had to wait a full week to be credited my over payment. I know how credit card processing works and this is just ridiculous. So... be ABSOLUTELY CLEAR with the office about how you are going to pay for your charter. I had a handful of cash in my hand but once they saw the credit card (for the balance) they didn't seem to understand I wanted to pay with the cash. Fishing most of my life in the Great Lakes as a kid to fishing offshore in Florida and the USVI. I have been living on St. Thomas since 2008 and been fish here for over 10. Also did sail my 37ft sailboat from Florida to Australia in 2005.

I called them before I left Houston Texas. I called them when I arrived in Saint Thomas. They said everything was good. 30 minutes before. I'm supposed to meet the captain. They secretary call me and cancel the trip. What's very suspicious is they didn't know that. I rented a condominium that overlook the boat slip. 24 that the secretary told me I was supposed to meet. The captain woke up very early, and I watched him scurry out of the marina with the boat. The next three hours I asked questions with very conflicting stories. Everybody had a different story. I smell a rat. I smell a liar. Do not book a trip with these people. They are liars.

The staff had completely changed and it showed. The ONLY person that I would give more than 1 star to for customer service was Audrey...5 stars isn't enough. She was FANTASTIC! A GREAT dive master and a GREAT customer service representative of the company! She walked around on the boat before and after the dives and talked to everyone to get to know them and see how they were doing. Truly a model employee! That's where it ends. EVERYONE else was mediocre at best. No personality, no interaction with the divers, no customer service skills. Sam was no help in the dive shop, the captains were just there for the paycheck...it was a complete turnaround from the staff that was there before. BY FAR, the WORST was May. She was the dive master on my third day of dives and was a complete and utter disappointment. She picked the WORST possible dive sites (NE side of St. Thomas across from Coral World at Thatch Cay), had ZERO personality or customer service skills, and was not ready to be leading divers. We spent the first ten minutes of the second dive swimming into a strong current and she had no clue. You could watch the rocks below and see that we weren't moving at all. She finally turned us around and we just flowed with it until the dive was over. No wildlife pointed out, no attempt at doing her job...it seemed like she was being burdened to have to take us out. Needless to say, I won't use RHDC again. If is wasn't for Audrey, I would give it 1 star. She was truly great at her job. The rest...not so much.

Captain Chris took us beach hopping and snorkling around St. Thomas, Hans Lolick Island and Outer Brass Cay. He grew up on St. Thomas and is very knowledgeable about the area. Captain Chris is friendly and knows how to please a crowd. He does day charters for small and large groups and also specializes in fishing excursions. Ocean surfari Snorkeling was easily the highlight of our trip! From start to finish, the experience was incredible. John, Sidney, and BK were absolutely amazing. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made everyone feel comfortable, whether it was your first time snorkeling or you're experienced in the water. The spots they took us to were beautiful, and they went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time and got to see as much marine life as possible. You can tell this crew truly cares about creating an unforgettable experience for their guests. Their energy, professionalism, and sense of fun made the entire day one we'll be talking about for a long time. Meatball is awesome. This is the third time we have spent the day with Meatball and he has made every trip unique, fun, and memorable. We have spent time on a few beaches with no one else on them even while 3 cruise ships were in port. We have visited locations to search for sea glass, listen to the "rocks sing" (don't miss this stop), and just have a private walk along beautiful beaches. This trip, we stopped for lunch at Tap and Steel and had a great burger and funnel cake (honey and cinnamon). Meatball has spent so much time learning the history and culture of St Thomas in the few years he has been there and has some amazing stories to tell. He puts in lots of effort to ensure we have everything we need, like Guava juice, and introduces us to new people every trip. We just wend on a snorkeling trip on Reef Surfari (part of the Ocean Surfari). It was a wonderful time. We stopped at 3 different locations, each with different views. When at the stop to see turtles, we all saw quite a few, Then we went looking at the reef and fish at a couple of other spots. There was much to see. The crew of the Reef Surfari was great. They were funny, stressed safety and made great drinks. We'll certainly go back again the next time we're in St. Thomas. By the way, when you're there, notice how many Ocean Surfari shirts are worn by both visitors and locals. It's pretty impressive. In the past, we also went fishing with Captain Chris on a fishing charter. Although we're not good fishermen, we wanted to experience it in St. Thomas and had a great time (especially with Capt. Chris) who incidently also drives the snorkel boat! read more

Thank you Captain Rob and Ocean Surfari Charters for an amazing day on the water! We couldn't have asked for a better guide...so knowledgeable, FUN, and all-around awesome! We were able to feed our party of 10, dinner for two consecutive nights from our fishing trip. Fresh fish off the grill night #1, and mahi mahi tacos night #2 (at the advice of Captain Rob). Rob took care of us from the time we first stepped on the boat...to long after we got off....cleaning and filleting our catch of the day...and letting us feed the huge tarpon (that were waiting for us to return to the dock that evening) our scraps. Highly recommend this experience, and can't wait to call Captain Rob and Ocean Surfari Charters next time we are visiting! read more

Incredible Fishing with Captain Marc Blackburn Incredible is the best word to describe our trip we landed all but two of our fish, and with some inexperienced fisherman aboard all the credit goes to Captain Marc Blackburn. He not only can put you on the fish but coaches you through the hookup and the fight. Keeps his boat clean and in tip top shape the entire trip, and displays incredible customer service. This was my second trip with Ocean Safari and Captain Marc Blackburn and both trips produced trophy quality fish in fact I am mounting a Wahoo and a friend is mounting a Mahi. What a trip. In August 2019, it was our second trip with Captain Eric. Our first trip in 2018 was a deep sea trip and it was a 10 out of 5 trip. This trip was inshore as it was reportedly rough out deep. We were not disappointed. We caught King Mackerel, Barracuda, a couple types of grouper, lots of snapper and a couple other interesting fish. We ended up with over 30 pounds of fish to eat for the week and had a local restaurant cook some of it up for lunch right after we got off the boat. When we go back to St Thomas in 2021 we will be booking another trip or two and will ask for Captain Eric. read more

What an amazing time with Captain Rob on our fishing charter! We were lucky because the sea state and weather (except for one rain shower) was perfect! Captain Rob said trolling was usually pretty relaxing with a few minutes of chaos....well, he was wrong!! He didn't even get all the lines out and we were catching black fin tuna! After trolling, we went bottom fishing, the action was so much, two of us went and sat down on the front of the boat because we were physically tired! We will book again the next time We are here! From the time we got to their location store, to their charter everyone was top notch. We used this company for the 2nd time and did the "Do it all" excursion and had the BEST time! The snorkeling was amazing, the pizza was great, the sunset was beautiful, the open bar was awesome and dancing was fun! CJ & John was very informative and fun and Sydni was the BEST very fun, hardworking to keep everyone's cups filled and make sure we had everything we needed and on top of that chatting with everyone making sure we were having a blast! We had a great time on our 4 hour Ocean Surfari trip. Spencer did an awesome job! The captain will do just about everything for you in terms of baiting, set-up, even cleaning the fish to prep for the grill. They let you keep as much of the fish you catch as you want, and whatever you don't take doesn't go to waste. I can't recommend Spencer enough, he was knowledgeable and laid-back. We caught 11 black fin tuna!! We'll be returning and asking for Spencer next time we're here. read more

I could not have been happier fishing St Thomas with Ocean Surfari. We went out on The Hitman with Spencer. The boat, Spencer, and the fishing were fantastic! Spencer put us on the fish and by the end we had Bonita, Black-fin Tuna, and Mahi Mahi. I have fished a lot of charters and Spencer is one of the best guides I have had, he was open and willing to what we wanted to fish and spend our time doing. I would recommend the operation to anyone looking to fish St. Thomas! read more

I just can't get over what an amazing day we had!! Captain Rob and mate Kj had us catching from the moment we dropped the first line till we were watching sunset calling it a day. Not only did we catch all afternoon, we all were laughing and having a great time which made the day even better. The best trip I have ever been on! Saw a Sea turtle, a big starfish, a conch, beautiful little fish, the clearest water i've ever seen and beautiful lush mountains !! We had snacks, drinks, pizza ! Jumped off the boat and snorkeled at two different beautiful spots and had the most fun! Great crew & music & the highlight of my time in St. Thomas ! Our group had the most amazing time in St.Thomas thanks to our guide Meatball. We actually stumbled across Meatball in the parking lot. He was stopping in to visit his wife at work and like all tourists we were asking directions to the beach. He was such a delight.. full of information and before you know it we we all loading into his jeep! We had a fantastic time! Marc and his mate Jordan took great care of me and my coworkers on our company outing yesterday. The beer was cold and the hooks were always full. In the course of a 4 hr afternoon we caught a 25 lb king fish, 3 10-15 lb jacks, a huge sting ray, and at least 3 dozen varied smaller fish. Hands down the most exceptional fishing charter we have been on. Jordan (Jojo) our captain was very knowledgeable, beyond friendly, and fun. She took us out to the best spots, and we were able catch more fish than we would have ever expected, especially in the off season. Second off-shore fishing trip with Ocean Surfari, and of course we requested Captain Rob based on the amazing time we had last time! It was just the girls on this trip, and Captain Rob delivered! We had an amazing experience with Captain KP, Sydney and Ryan on the 'Do It All Trip'. The three employees were the 'dream team' and knew how to take care of everyone on board. We also saw some amazing parts of the VI that we might not have seen otherwise and some turtles, a nurse shark, sting rays and tons of unique fish. Highly recommend! read more
