An Oceanview Landscape truck with trailer drove down our private dead end road and turned around by pulling onto a vacant lot that I own across the street then backing the trailer onto our freshly planted grass between our fence and the road. The trailer tires tore up patches of sod that was just recently installed. The driver did not stop to see or repair the damage. There is plenty of space to turn around without damaging private property. We have had deliveries by semis who turned around without doing damage. I have not done business with this firm and will not. read more

From a highly detailed proposal to the completed work, they did a great job trimmning and detailing my house and increasing the curb appeal substantially. They removed and carried off the detris, blew off the sidewalks and procived instructions for the care of the new plants they planted. As an aside, the owner was present and worked with the crew for some hours. It is an impressive operation. read more

Ocean View Landscape Management began, in my honest opinion, as a five star company when it came to mowing, edging, trimming hedges, managing flower bed weeds, etc. Unfortunately, they began a sudden turn for the worst. This not only includes the work performed at my home, but also the office and management staff. The destroyed my hedges, crushed gutter downspouts, are unable to cut a straight line around the flower beds and my grass is always uneven. Just horrible. I also just had a pool put in which takes up a good portion of my backyard...they were nice enough to take a whole $7.00 off of my service. I'm assuming Debbie is the office manager, who knows; this person certainly leaves something to be desired as far as customer service and attitude are concerned. She doesn't care if they lose customers or not. Nothing but excuses, no resolutions at all. Do yourself a BIG favor and find another company...do not waste your money on this horrible service. read more

We have been tossing around the idea of getting a lawn service. What better way is there to check out a company than taking a trip and having your lawn done? Right? In short, we reached out to Ocean View since they do a few lawns on our street and Debbie sent us an estimate for the time period we would be gone. This consisted of 3 lawn care days basically and with Dorian coming, but she put our minds at ease. We were impressed with her prompt attention and assuring us we were taken care of. Great! And off we went for a month plus... We left literally a few days before Hurricane Dorian hit. As we all know, it wasn't a bad storm in our area and rather mild...thank goodness (knock on wood). We did get a fair amount of rain, but that went away quickly too...thank goodness again. We knew we didn't have anything to worry about since the storm ended up being rather mild and Ocean View had us taken care of. In our minds, we were aware the first requested week may be missed due to the storm and there may be a need to play catch up after the storm...it would be fine. Two weeks into our trip (and the storm long gone with plenty of sunny days here) we started receiving texts from our neighbors about our lawn since no one had cut it. Our neighbors volunteered to do it since it was getting extremely high, but since we hired Ocean View we knew they'd be there at some point. The weather was great, so we had no idea what the holdup was. We were a few thousand miles away with spotty Wi-Fi, so we had to be patient. Moreover, we also thought our neighbors may be mistaken. Fast forward...they never came! When we got home (yes, after a month) our lawn was over a foot high and we simply told them not to send us a bill since the lawn was never cut. The reply we received from Debbie was (copy & paste from her email), "I do apologize for this. After the storm we were off schedule and your property never pulled on our route sheet to get done and not being an ongoing customer I didn't notice this until now." We appreciated the apology, but we put our full trust in this company and thought we were taken care of, but we weren't. We would have completely understood not doing it for the first scheduled day/week...or even the second day/week, but they did nothing. They didn't reach out to us via email, nor text while we were gone either. We were just happy we didn't get one of those nasty grams from the HOA. Reality is, we actually appreciate her candor...after all, Dorian was a mild storm and it knocked them out of whack...I can't imagine how a storm like Matthew or Irma would affect them. This was "an interview" for us for the lack of a better term. Plus, we obviously didn't matter since we weren't an ongoing customer and it tells us that they didn't care to have our future business and that's fine. This honesty was greatly appreciated and saved us some future frustration I believe...so, thank you Ocean View. read more

I was with Ocean view for 4 years and the quality of workmanship is horrid. They cut my cable line, hit the side of my house 3 times with the mower which I had to repair the damage to the stucco. They have ruined my hedges, they never pull weeds until I call and complain. I have a cut in the screen to my lanai. They have raised their costs 4 different times only to do less and less quality work. Debbie will probably retire there and has no customer service skills. Do not use Oceanview! read more

I am still completely satisfied with Michael and Ocean View Landscape Management. He is extremely knowledgeable, lawns, shrubs, trees, etc. He can tell you what kind of bug is attacking your lawn etc. and he can take care of it. He is great. Always with a great suggestion, always attends to business, I won't have any one else. I cant imagine having a problem with him or his office help, I never have. I find him besides knowing about everything I have planted, some not so native and answering all my question, and if he dosen't know the answer he will find out, though I have never stumped him. I finally gave up on this company after two years of excuses. A few months ago they completely destroyed my sons playground and once again yesterday they absolutely mutilated my lawn. The worst thing about this company is the customer service, it is smug we don't give a shit attitude that threw me over the edge. Debbie should probably be sent to a class to learn how to speak to customers. I promise you are doing none of your customers a favor by having her handle complaints. As a paying customer I can give a shit less about your excuses and poor judgement. Do yourself a favor and do not consider this company free r your lawn needs. read more

"Debbie" in the office is so rude that I canceled service today. I was charged $30 for a cut that left my backyard untouched because they didn't push the gate door open instead of pull? They said I had a dog in the backyard...our dog died in March. Debbie argued with me about what their lawn service includes,talking over me and explaining what "lawn maintenance" is like I'm in need of the definition, argued with me about my fence gate, never apologized for anything and never asked "why?" when I called back to cancel my service. We have been with Ocean View for a year or just a little over and we have had great experience with Michael! He communicates when he is coming, what he is seeing and gives great recommendations! While we haven't been completely satisfied with the results of our yard, we are giving them the benefit of the doubt because the previous owners had not properly taken care of the yard. The landscape crew we see, is very courteous and always adjust where they work when we are outside. The few employees that laid our new sod several months ago were equally as pleasant. When we have requested quotes, they have been returned to us in a timely fashion. read more

I emailed this company about the lawn mowing service they provide to my next door neighbor, emphasizing a request to the company that they instruct their mowing crew to do whatever is necessary so they do not blow grass clippings into my boat, or into the adjacent canal. I've asked the crew myself, and they comply as long as I'm present, but when I'm not around they disregard my request. This has forced me to put a tarp on my boat when I know I won't be around. I shouldn't have to protect my boat because a mowing crew is disrespectful. Also, the clippings that don't go into the boat go into the canal, which is actually illegal. I even provided a summary of the relevant ordinance. I've waited several days for an answer to my email, but true to form, NO RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY. I'm not surprised since I used to be a client of this company for my own lawn care needs, but stopped because of the PROPERTY DAMAGE their crews caused, despite repeatedly emailing the office with pictures, and once going there in person. So I'm not optimistic about the mowing crew becoming more careful just because I ask. Evidently my only recourse here is that each time the situation happens again I'll file a complaint with the county about Ocean View discharging yard waste into the canal. Fortunately, I have surveillance cameras capable of corroborating my concerns. read more

Michael, Of Ocean View Landscape Management, is a whiz when it comes to your yard. I am in a relatively new subdivision, the first few months the sod was ok, then it started to look awful, found Ocean View Management and what a difference. I have people stopping to ask me how come my lawn looks so wonderful. Michael has been to college to learn about pests. fertilizers, do and don'ts and the result is he will treat your lawn for pests, the ones that eat your roots and others, he will fertilize your lawn with just the correct nutrients and your lawn will respond like you would never believe, if you didn't see it with your own eyes. He knows about bushes, trees, flowers, you name it, he can fix your problem, give you tips and I am not kidding make you the envy of everyone in your neighborhood! I switched from my prior lawn maintenance person because they kept blowing the lawn clipping into my flower beds and leaving them there and when I mentioned it to the owner he came all undone. So I switch to Ocean View Landscape Management and have had no problems what so ever. The two people that mow my yard and very pleasant and do a much more thorough job then prior lawn company. If I ask them to pay special attention to one area they are more than happy to do so. Hope this high level of service continues. read more

This lawn care service is the best we have experienced in St. Johns County. We have gone through 5 service providers in the last 10 years and have never seen the quality of service at the price offered from any other provider. Wonderful energy from the landscaping team who came out to my property to do a clean up and installation job! The were full of knowledge about my different plants and trees, helped show me which ones were invasive and gave me advice on some different diseases causes. Debbie in the office is horrible to work with. Very unpleasant and unprofessional. Even after she forgot to put us on the schedule one month... after starting with their company we started seeing dead patches in our front yard. Micheal the spray guy was very nice and came out right away to take care of it. Maybe he should handle their customer service and get rid of Debbie. The crew came out once and just blew off our driveway and left... I contacted the lovely Debbie and she fed me excuse after excuse. Sent me the GPS coordinates for the crew and said they were there for 12 minutes which is how long it takes to do our property... I was home the whole time watching them, they didn't touch my lawn. Then the next time they came out said they they wouldn't be able to service our lawn because there was too much dog waste... we pick our dog poop every week on the same day which is the day before they come. Always had. All of a sudden it was an issue when I had questioned their service.... this company would have been ok and got a 3 star maybe, but not with Debbie working in their office. I can't believe she's still there after reading other reviews. She will run that company into the ground. read more
