Over all in Ocean City there are clean beaches, loads of ocean side shacks, lots of fun and entertainment amusement parks, pubs, a huge brewery with several dance floors by the name of Seacrets, innumerable restaurants, mostly a delight for sea food lovers, water sports adventurers, fresh fruit crush cocktails, beach bodies. A good getaway during summers both for large groups and for smaller families , lots to do and enjoy for everyone!

Now the park is turning into a nice modular home community and they put their own little home on the lot. Year round the crowd is more older citizens than younger. However, we feel at home. There are a lot of families here during the summer months. There is a pool and small park. The community center hosts luaus, karaoke and an all you can eat crab fest on labor day weekend. White Horse Park is about 10-15 minutes from the beach. It makes a nice summer cottage getaway close to the ocean, beaches and boardwalk.

Gone are the days of a week by the ocean due to very high rental rates. NY'ers won't be deterred by the prices but I'd dare say most of the rest of the east coast may be. AND- some hotels charge to park your car. Ocean City MD is frequented by more Washingtonians, Northern, Virginians and Some Philly area people and all the towns in between whereas the Jersey shore towns are more Philly area peeps. Locals are incredibly nice and friendly and work very hard. The restaurant scene is vibrant and instep with bigger cities. The lifeguards are among the best on the east coast. The beaches are well kept. Downtown offers easy access to the boardwalk and the inlet. Midtown offers some access to the boardwalk with more restaurants. Uptown up to the Delaware border can be a little crowded on the beach because of high rises, but you can find anything you want in Ocean City. There are a couple of Facebook pages where you can find information about what you need just by searching the search option at the top inside the microscope. A question you want to ask is probably already been asked 20 or 30 times this season so it's easier for you just to do the search.

We love Ocean City. It helps to research events in the area. Motorcycle Week brings extra crowds…read more(and is fun to view). But there are lots of activities- concerts, fishing contests, etc that are interesting. Off season visits are enjoyable too.

If you are visiting the Lewes, DE terminal building at the Cape May Lewes Ferry, take a walk…read morethrough the restaurant's back door to the waterfront for some great scenery and a memorial to the sailors who were lost in the nearby waters and washed ashore on the local beaches over the centuries. You'll see a 1983 marker in a small landscaped area that was the joint effort between  the Delaware River & Bay Authority, the Colonel David Hall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Lewes Historical Society. It's inscription reads: UNKNOWN SAILORS' CEMETERY Lewes has been a Port of Call and a Harbor of Refuge since the 17th century. For generations during the age of sail, a public burial ground in this immediate locality became the final resting place for hundreds of sailors who lost their lives and whose unidentified bodies were here cast ashore. In remembrance of those persons whose remains are sheltered on this shore, this memorial is placed. May they find eternal repose.

And they get said book very fast. They also text renewal reminders. IN SEASON read the parking rules and abide because the police do crack down.

There are educational toys and supplies for all ages. Great selection of diverse books. They even have a book section of books in different languages. Perfect place for rainy days. There is a bathroom right next to the children's area for ease. Otherwise the main bathrooms are upstairs near the entrance.

I am signed up for more upcoming craft classes. They have great online resources and a good selection of books and magazines in the library. The staff is friendly, and they even provide free Oceans of Possibilities tote bags for carrying home your books. A great modern facility that even has a garden with tables where you can relax and read your books!

The smaller of two crossings over the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal, the Savannah Road bridge is a two-lane…read moredrawbridge with a protected pedestrian lane on each side. The bridge was built in 1983 and gets a fair amount of traffic heading from the more touristy part of Lewes to the marina and the Cape May ferry terminal. It carries Business US Route 9. The other bridge is the US-9 and it is a fixed bridge. I didn't cross on that one today. The bridge is nicely decorated with murals. "Art in Bloom, a committe of Lewes in Bloom, along with artist Lorelei Meanor, created the Lewes Drawbridge Mosaic Mural in 2000. The 1000' mural took seven months and 1000 hours to complete. It contains nearly 50,000 tiles and 250 fish, all expertly designed and placed by over 50 Lewes in Bloom volunteers." [Review 18209 overall - 123 in Delaware - 1731 of 2022.]
