Which means you can rent from any library in Delaware. Like other progressive libraries, they have a small but very nice collection of books on CD, MP3 books, DVDs, as well as the typical periodicals and hardcover books. What came as a surprise to me is that the library also offers some kind of cool services to library card members; you can print any document to the library's printer and they will hold it for 72 hours. (small fee). You can also fax to and from the library if you need to. You also can download and read books on your ipads via the Internet, as well as reserve books from other libraries to be delivered to the Rehoboth Library using their online website. We always make a pit stop whether we need an extra beach read or not... and useless end up with a new book for our personal collection. With a curated collection of the top rated Fiction and Non-Fiction Best Sellers constantly updated and shelved in order, staff picks marked with detailed notes on every area, and categories curated for every reader to find their genre. I love to peruse their World History, Religion, and Non-Fiction sections... my preferred beach read is an Erik Larson book or a nice leadership selection! Bethany Beach Books also constantly has renowned authors come in to the bookstore for signings. You can see the full season of authors decorating the ceiling. For our week trip, they had a different author everyday! The value is right on top. Not significantly marked up and honestly.. remember that you are paying for the curation too! Every sale is topped off with a complementary bookmark... and these are collector items with cute Bethany Beach graphics each season. Support your local book store!

I found out about this bookstore from one of my favorite authors who had stopped in and signed a bunch of books! The bookstore is crowded like it's filled to the brim with books so much so that there are piles on the floor. It was pretty organized! There was something pretty niche my fiancé was looking for that they didn't have but otherwise I feel like they had a good selection! They had quite a few workers and there was never a long line! I also liked that they gave out bookmarks with the purchase! There was an author outside signing her book so I ended up picking that up! They did have a lot of cool gifting stuff and I also picked up postcards here as there really wasn't a souvenir style shop that had actual Bethany merch. I'm my favorite part of the store is the little "rotunda" ? Not sure if you can call it that but all in all this place was pretty great!

This library is on the small and cozy side, but it's a great place to hide away on a hot summer…read moreday. It houses bathrooms, A/C, Wi-Fi, a large selection of reading materials, and several seating areas including four comfy armchairs. Best of all, they have a huge selection of DVDs that spans multiple shelves and ranges from older films to ones as recent as last year. There's also a separate shelf for newly released movies that came out this year. Fortunately, we were able to get library cards simply by giving the librarian our IDs and an email confirmation of the place we were staying at. I guess that makes sense when most of your summer clientele are tourists. We come to Cape May once a year, so we'll be hitting this library up all the time.

We love this library! The selection of books is not as big as my hometown library but that's to be…read moreexpected when it is serving a smaller town. You can get access to a bigger selection of ebooks if you sign up your library card with the libby app. For those that are here for the summer only and wondering how to get a card, you can bring in a copy of your tax record or I believe a utility bill to apply for a card. This really is a nice library. On the second floor there is a deck overlooking the wetlands and bay which would be a great spot to read and enjoy a cup of coffee. The sea isle city historical museum is also located within the library. Now, the main thing that gets this library 5 stars is the kid's programming. We came here all summer and the amount of programs they have for kids is awesome. The library in my hometown still refuses to do any in person indoor kids programming because of Covid and never brought back out the kid toys. My daughter is only 3 so she has never been able to enjoy our local library (Haverford Township) for basically her entire life. So, the SIC library has been a breath of fresh air this summer. The children's librarian who does story time is great along with all the other the library workers. Thank you to those who run this library for providing great educational activities! And for other parents who may be concerned, the programs for young kids here seems to be developmentally appropriate and not "woke"!

Lots of library books, plenty of places to sit for study or quiet work or reading, and a fast free wifi that worked super well. I found a quiet table with power outlets and was here for three hours undisturbed.
