Again, we are always on the hunt for places that are packed. Because then you know they are good! We pulled up and noticed that they had live music going on which we were super excited about. I went with what the barista suggested. It was an African something or another coffee that tasted more like a tea. We got it in The Chemex because neither of us had had coffee from one of those before. Trying something new! They also had macadamia nut milk which was absolutely delicious. My favorite espresso shop in Palm Beach. Their house espresso I find especially yummy - reminds me of the roasts I enjoyed in Hawai'i. Their lattes tend to have a higher espresso to milk ratio than the big chains, so the sizes are more typical of what you find in a Nice cafe and just as good. The milk they use has a nice creamy feel too. They roast on site and offer their creations for home enthusiasts. I haven't tried their drip or siphoned - but they offer that too. read more

Great little place. And by little I mean little. Only 2 or 3 tables in the place. The vibe feels a little thrown together, but what it lacks in vibe, it makes up for in coffee. My husband thought the coffee was good. I like that they are trying to be natural. I was thrown off by the limited coffee menu (they do not use any syrups so the only flavored coffee is the mocha). The mocha was a Mexican chocolate which I was crazy about. I wish they would do at least one really creative latte. I think it wouldn't be that hard to do a made from scratch caramel (hey, I've made one myself) or some kind of natural flavoring to come up with one creative drink special to them. This is my go to Coffee place while visiting Tequesta. They usually have a different roast every time I go, but with a light, dark and medium. It seems like I learn something I didn't know about coffee every time I visit. This is good for me considering I need the strongest coffee possible and thought I was ordering it until She explained the brew process to me. The same girl is working every time I visit. Always knowledgable and helpful, friendly and fast. The coffee is good, does the trick! They also have non dairy options for creamer such as soy or almond milk. This is much appreciated! I also enjoy the customers. I always end up Interacting somehow with the other visitors whether it's cracking a joke or discussing coffee beans. The vibe with the staff, customers and interior are totally laid back. I'm Usually in and out very quickly grabbing a coffee on the way to the beach, but it's always a pleasant experience. As far as other comments about tipping. I too was taken aback the first time I paid with a card and was prompted to tip when completing the process. I felt pressured and didn't even realize it, however I was happy to tip considering the attention and service she gave me, but generally do not like this approach. I have seen some complaints about parking in other comments. It's always been easy in and out for me, it's just off the main road so you have to pay attention. Worth it! read more

I visited here a few months ago. The coffee was extremely average but what really turned me off was the Baristas were completely ambivalent to my business and at times unfriendly. I don't live local but visit frequently. I found myself this morning in Tequesta looking for a cup of coffee and I chose the Dunkin Donuts rather than going back to Oceana Coffee. I just couldn't get there unfriendliness out of my thought process. That's how much of an impact it made. I probably will try again because I never give up on a place after one visit but my expectations are extremely low. read more

After visiting Portland for the last 7 months we were craving a Mom & Pop type of coffee- house with a good cup of coffee. Most of the customers coming in and out of there seemed to be regulars and the staff seemed to know everyone by name and even remembered us on our multiple day in a row visits. Loved that, however the owner (lady) saw us two days in a row and didn't acknowledge us which was off-putting for being new faces in a "local place". The $5 lattes were decent. read more

Oceana Coffee is the real thing! This is a true coffee shop - not some commercial Starbucks or lattes with silly flavors shop. Since my daughter discovered this treasure I can't drink any other coffee. The coffee beans are roasted to perfection and there are a variety of beans to pick from. The staff is courteous, knowledgable and can advise you on your choices based on your personal preferences. The shop offers a card which allows the customer to get discounts after several purchases. For three years I enjoyed the best espresso and customer service in what I thought was merely Palm Beach County, at Oceana Coffee...having since moved out of state - and driven cross country sampling expresso along the way - I will now confidently state that Oceana Coffee is the best in the country. I live in Tequesta, and have visited this shop four or five times, hoping to find something to like other than proximity. Today at 3:00 was the final visit. The brewed coffee was barely hot and tasted stale. The $6.00 iced mocha latte tasted like a watered down glass of chocolate milk. I find all items, including the gourmet baked goods, to be overpriced and disappointing. And finally, the "buy six cups and get the seventh cup free" club is actually misleading--it refers to VISITS, not cups. read more

This small shop delivers the BEST coffee I've ever had. These people are hard core caffeine aficionados. For iced coffee, they use coffee ice cubes. Breakfast sandwiches and pastries and cookies are a perfect touch. They roast on site with this big cool green roaster in the shop. This is a family run shop and the owners are super. The coffee shop is small and inviting. Great place to meet with a friend to catch up and get your caffeine buzz on. It upsets me that for so long I spent lots of $ on my K-cup coffees. Now I just buy their coffee and put it in my refillable K-cup thing. Now I never have to settle for a mediocre cup of joe again. read more
