The ambiance is really cool and chill, a great place for studying or to grab a coffee with a friend. Service was fast and my barista/cashier was nice. I haven't had the chance to try their food yet, so I have another excuse to come back XD I tried their hot peppermint mocha and it is really good, not tongue burning hot, which I appreciate. On our way back, we decided that we wanted to stop somewhere for coffee. We looked it up on yelp and found this coffee place two hours surprise they had open mic starting at 7:30 PM on Saturday not only the staff was extremely friendly but the place is very modern and love the decor. We ordered a latte, an americano and a blueberry-lemon scone. Coffee was amazing and the scone delish. We really enjoyed the open mic session - great local talent! Will definitely go again when I am in the area, sad it's not that close to home. read more

This is one of the best spots ever created I would love to give a shoutout to the amazing staff that is here at this location. They have not only supported and attended to all the regulars here, but they always show so much kindness and positivity to those around. So amazing!!!! Coffee was delicious and the pumpkin cranberry scone and pumpkin cheesecake bread were so so good! The other scones were good, but not as good. Pleasantly surprised by this place. Went in for breakfast as an alternative to the high priced one at a nearby hotel. They had a good selection of breakfast sandwiches that were not the typical fare. I've stopped in this coffee shop a few times and it's always been good... coffee and food are good, place is cute, and parking is easy. The last time I came in, though, it was super busy, busier than I've ever seen it and, since it's the holidays, there were a lot of out-of-towners and families, it seemed... not the easiest clientele. I just want to give some credit to your staff for handling the crowd in such an efficient and professional way. One young woman, Ryan(I think), kindly took care of customers and orders that would have made me lose my mind and she still managed to execute some beautiful latte art on my coffee! Terrible Coffee, really bad microwave quality food with very limited choices, overpriced, and the only size of coffee they have is the size of a tall coffee from Starbucks. This place is the worst phony coffee shop I've ever been to, when you walk in because of the ambience you're expecting it to be like some kind of amazing coffee shop like you would find out west or something. Do not be deceived and waste your money here. It's disgusting. I've come here to Harbourside for years and have enjoyed doing so. Things were different today. The one barista never smiles when waiting on me and I jokingly comment that she should put a smile on her face. Thinking she would laugh, I was shocked to receive a stern lecture why she did not appreciate my comment and it was not doing anything to help our relationship. Help our relationship? I responded that there are many coffee places here and people appreciate a pleasant welcome, etc. I walked away only to hear further comments. I've watched her and notice that she almost always smiles when serving female customers. Anyway, I guess its time to go elsewhere because I cannot hope that the other always friendly baristas are working. Sorry. read more

Subculture Coffee has retained its place as a destination coffee place. They've got great coffee and sweets but it has character. You want to meet friends there and it's comfortable. The bacon quiche and chicken empanada is amazing. I enjoyed the decaf latte and I also got a vegan banana chocolate chip muffin which is out of this world. I was here when the doors opened this morning. The cash register wasn't working but the young lady working was very kind and allowed me to order anyways, explaining I could pay once she got it up and running. They don't have all the items in stock that the main location in West Palm Beach has but it is a nice atmosphere and the food I ordered was delicious. There is outdoor seating and a drive thru (oh la la) but we chose to walk in and sit inside. Coffee beverages were fantastic. Smooth roast came through in the cafe au lait and my flat white was perfect. The food was just as nice as you'd want it to be. Seemed like "homemade" egg bites (not pre frozen) with descent flavor for a coffee shop that's not a cafe. I'm attempting to make good choices so I avoided the sweet carb-heavy ever so tempting pastry items. Little mixed greens with oil and balsamic was a perfect accompaniment to the egg bite. I took pics/vids of the other food items, the merch, the pastries, etc. I loved hanging out at this spot and I will use it as an excuse to visit Lake Park on a more regular basis. Not only was it on the way to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum (where I would have my fun today), but it was featured in the Florida Cafe Passport. I have to say, I am very happy the passport took me here. For starters, the coffee was on point, and the food was great, but Trisha was the one who pulled it all together for a first time experience I truly enjoyed. Though an address is provided, Oceana Coffee (which I will simply shorthand to Oceana for the remainder of this review) is located in the Fashion Mall a 150, on the west side of US-1 halfway between Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum. Right now, the strip mall is going through an overhall on its awning, but all the stores are open. Oceana is located at the southern part of the strip mall. There is some seating outside, but it was way too hot to sit out in the Florida humidity. Upon enterining, the ambiance is that of an upscale coffee bar blended with Aussie and ocean themes. The pictures of sea turtles on the wall compliment the ocean hues as well as the furniture being themed from sea port wood but upscaled in style. The coffee and food selections were simple and the Cafe Passport did not help. Ergo, I had help from Trisha, the beautiful lady working behind the counter that day, to help me decide. Ultimately, I realized the owner must be an Aussie with all the Australian slang used. The Flat White was prepared "Fair Dinkum" style, and they had a "Brekky Sandwich." Definitely got both of those as well as a chocolate croissant because the one suggestion from the Florida Cafe Passport was the "French-style breakfast." The pictures will detail my food offerings, but I will say it was very delicious. And to top it off, Trisha was right on top of everything. While I was doing computer work, there was a rush and she was the only one at the counter. She handled herself very well. After all of that, she even helped me choose some stickers for purchase... which I ended up getting five for my sticker book. On a sidenote, there is one unisex restrooma and one women only restroom. I kind of find that smart as women do take twice as long as men to use the restroom in general. And the unisex restroom was clean, too. Overall, this was a fantastic outing at one of the coffee cafes I've been wanting to go to. This place is my favorite coffee shop, hands down. With the urban feel like the iconic "Central Perk" from friends, this is my go-to place. The options are limitless, the taste is too-notch, and as a fervent coffee addict, I am blessed to be able to have one so close to my workplace. I always order their Mocha with Almond milk, and their coffee is served in the washable cups with cheerful designs. Honestly, I shouldn't be as excited as I am about their little saucers that go with the latte cups, but I love them. The overall experience is so refreshing and Subculture is a wonderful way to enjoy your morning coffee, there is a delightful lunch menu available, it's perfect afternoon pick-me up, if I want to hang out with friends in the evening we usually end up at Subculture's Trivia Night or another of their many fun events.
