With a smaller group, it was easy to ask the captain questions and have meaningful conversations throughout the journey. One of the highlights was a brief stop at a historic military base, where we learned even more about Copenhagen's fascinating history. Along the way, we admired the city's stunning and unique architecture and, of course, made a stop at The Little Mermaid. Our captain, Aske, was one of the best tour guides we've ever had--friendly, entertaining, knowledgeable, and full of great energy. You can never be sure of the weather in Copenhagen and it was supposed to be sunny but wound up raining and cold. We asked for a refund and they said they don't give refunds even if it's raining. Had we known that we wouldn't have bought tickets in advance which you have to do if you want to get a boat on most days. How can you refuse refunds for boat rides that won't be bought by anyone else because it's raining? The first theft! We were told that they were watching the weather and the rain would stop in about 20 minutes but it never did. It got lighter for a short while and we saw other people with ponchos coming back. We'd spent almost $300 on the trip so rather than lose the money we decided to go out thinking the rain would let up, it didn't. So we asked for 3 of the ponchos we saw other people wearing. They said sure and pulled out three tiny packets of the thinnest cheapest plastic ponchos that didn't go past your butt and THEY CHARGED US $6 FOR EACH ONE!! The second theft! Talk about adding insult to injury these scumbags capitalize further on their non refundable boat rides by charging you more money for what is essentially the thinnest cheapest plastic garbage bags with a hole on the end and a hood that doesn't cover your head. Guarantee you these ponchos cost them about 30 cents a piece yet they charge the ridiculous sum. At the very least if you won't refund my money give me the crappy plastic poncho for free. Absolute scumbag move. On top of all that they hardly give you any instructions except forward, reverse and then tell you that if you hold the rudder slightly wrong the whole thing will pop out of the mechanism which it did multiple times when we were underway. Horribly unsafe. I can't believe this place has decent reviews on here or that it's still open. If you insist on going just please don't book in advance or you'll quite possibly have an experience as bad or worse than ours. And also if you want a better trip don't use a boat with hand rudder. They have other boats with steering wheels which are probably better but I bet if you turn them to far to the right the whole helm collapses! Thanks for ruining one of our 7 days in Copenhagen go boat! Hope you go out of business soon!

The open space has a calm atmosphere, with a small garden in the middle and majestic historic buildings surrounding it, including the Royal Danish Theatre, Hotel D'Angleterre, and several high-end shops like Rolex. It's a convenient meeting point and a pleasant place to pause while exploring the city. There's even a small pub on the corner, perfect for an Aperol Spritz on a warm afternoon. It's actually a very appropriate place for the park and his statue. The park is located along Esplanaden in front of St. Alban Church which has been historically known as the "English Church." It's a perfect setting! We stopped by on our way to see the Gefion Fountain and the Little Mermaid. There are benches near the Museum of Danish Resistance where you can sit and relax, or grab a bite to eat at the concession and/or hot dog stand. You'll also find the Valkyrie and Our Fallen sculptures and many other memorials at Churchill Park. One could spend a whole morning or afternoon exploring this part of the city. It's so worth a visit.

Had we done our research, we might have realized we were walking along the edge of Kastellet, a super cool star-shaped fortress. Instead, we just wandered through the park, getting impressed by the gorgeous greenery, the well kept trails, the ducks and water, the statues and fountains. There was some kind of crazily attractive church in there, too. Just an ongoing feast of lovely things that made the walk more memorable than the actual Little Mermaid. We don't have parks like Churchillparken where I live. If we did, I might get outside more often. This was a splendid place, peaceful and full of beautiful sights, and it didn't even seem like a particular tourist destination. I'm glad we stumbled on it while we were in town. You Copenhageners sure are lucky.

A quick walk through a pleasant neighborhood, then a very short walk through the woods and a small park. There's a toilet at the bathing structure. Also, when we went, there was a snack bar. And there is also a parking lot. The structure is remarkably interesting -- a great place to take a high dive plunge or slip in and paddle around. The water was chilly but refreshing. It felt safe and convenient and was a wonderful slice of Danish life. Try the pleasant cafe just to the north.

Designed by White Arkitekter, it's a very nice building, all in wood. You can swin from it, sink from it, have sun. There's a nice promenade all along the sea, in Amager Strandpark. It's magic !

Just walking distance from the Vestamager station, is this nature park. It is huge. I've visited…read moremany times but I still don't think I've explored the entire thing. It may look a little boring because at first glance, it seems to just be flatlands. But if you go a little deeper into the park, you will come across dense forests, ponds, and if you're lucky, wildlife. This park is perfect for biking, hiking, walking, going on a picnic, horse back riding, animal watching... you name it! When the weather is nice, expect to find many other people enjoying the park with you. However, people tend to visit this park come rain or shine. I love all of the added quirks that the Kommune has added to the park, like the wooden viking ship for kids to play around in, bird watching huts on top of the ponds, the nature center, and the animals. It's all very well-maintained as well! This park is a great place to bring kids or get out and connect with nature.

Just remember they accept only Dankort and when you re so far out from the city it's hard to find an ATM. I don't know what other activities you can attend but it seems there is a lot going on which you can check from the site. I recommend this as a bike ride combined with a coffee stop here!
