There is also a Mission San Juan Capistrano in San Antonio. This one is a beautiful example and has an especially interesting story relating to the alter. Hand carved in Barcelona for a church in Los Angeles,it was shipped there but never installed. Instead,this beautiful hand carved piece remained in storage for 100+ years. Eventually,it found its way into the light and installed in the Mission San Juan Capistrano. The ceiling had to be raised to accommodate its unusual height. If your within a days drive,this is a must see.

The experience was uplifting and wonderful! Yes, it's loud AKA they've got a really great band. The message was delivered in a way that was easily understood, appreciated the occasional levity and the accompanying graphics (to read along) were greatly appreciated. Right off 5 freeway, parking was easy and excellent traffic management for a quick exit. I'm thankful that I went and actually want to go again.

I am moving this week and they have gone out of their way to see if there is anything I need. The message was really good! It really encouraged me. This place has a way of truly lifting your spirits. The worship team was very talented, and I loved how they had a fresh word from God to give. Last year, and a bit of this year was rough... but wow did God bring me through it! I wanted to find a place where I could just go listen to the word, and thank Him for all he's done for me. I haven't had a church family in some time, and I know this is the right place for me. These people are ALL truly alive! You can see it in their faces. If you're not a Christian, don't like waking up early, and or don't like churchy people...just try this place. All I can say is I came in one way, and I left with joy in my heart and perfect peace of mind. It's Tuesday, and I am counting the days until I go back again :)

I forced myself to go here this morning and I was pleasantly surprised by my visit. Note: I walked out of the last church I visited after 5 minutes. I have criteria that I look for in a church, such as: *good lighting - check, I was impressed with the excellent interior and natural lighting from clerestory *no stupid, creepy religious outfit or robe on pastor - check *pastor looks normal and doesn't feel reptilian - check *pastor doesn't have a used car salesman mentality - check *pastor doesn't ramble on about stupid things his kids did - check *church is not in an office building, warehouse or school - check *good music - check *members aren't a bunch of controlling, old people - check *people are friendly - check *no talk about politics - check So far, this place is good. Hopefully it continues that way.

Pastor Terry came by and introduced himself with a warm welcoming and the let me tell you this church body is on fire for Christ and definently speak boldly of His love and what our calling is in sharing the truth as spelled out in the Gospel. The worship team were leading the congregation in praise and shouting out in thankful and melodious voices. Pastor Terry is certainly annointed as his passion in Christ's calling on him to lead and teach with a love that is so evident. I encourage anyone seeking a home church where the spirit is alive and well and God's love is being shared in truths that are undeniably inspirational, look no further. In visiting many churches throughout California and attending mega to mini church groups and fellowships it was a beautiful day giving glory to God and sharing love with Pastor Terry and the church family. Ephesians 4:1-16 was the Christ inspired teaching of the day and understanding our calling and gifts bestowed upon us to glorify the saints and ofcourse bring glory while being thankful to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It has guest rooms and meeting rooms around a lake for people using it as a retreat center. The main worship center is located on the top of the hill. Today I saw another church holding its Sunday service in an enclosed tent in the lower lot, next to the soccer field. There were a lot of people gathered and talking outdoors when I walked in from the parking lot. In the first tent I found free coffee & donuts. Next to it is the connection center where I found someone with a name badge to answer my questions. Lucky for me that Saddleback is celebrating its 43rd anniversary today with cupcakes for everyone.
