The Lord sent us to Heritage Christian Fellowship and I am so blessed that He did. We've been there for about 5 years. First of all I love Pastor Roger and his gentle, loving & oh so funny wife, Tracy. Many Pastors have other prominent gifts like teacher or evangelist. Pastor Roger Gales is a great teacher but he also has the spiritual gift of "Pastor." He is kind and personal. He tends to the sheep individually. I don't know how he does it but somehow he makes everyone feel special, excepted wanted and loved. Roger and Traci have a newcomers class at their home where they take the time to build relationships with each new person. They look for the gifts in each person and help to activate them in the church. They give us opportunities to grow and use our gifts. They teach the mission and the values of Heritage. One of their highest values is that church should be your extended family. A place where you know and are known. They have taught us how to actively love and take care of one another. We do this in the context of Community groups. I have met lifelong friends, brothers and sisters in my community group. I truly have never had friends like this before. I am so grateful for my home at Heritage Christian Fellowship. Heritage is led by a team of Elders rather than one person in charge. They work and make decisions as a team. I really like that. I love that Heritage is balanced. We are strong in the Word yet equally value the things of the Spirit. We believe the complete Bible. We are in relationship with all three parts of the Godhead Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We practice all of the gifts, such as healing and prophecy. The wonderful worship is spirit lead and God's sweet presence always fills the church. You are free to be yourself and express worship in your own way. We have a mixed group of people, some are more conservative and some are more expressive (like me) If you're looking for a place not just to come get stuff but to really grow in your relationship with God, find family and deep friendships and do life with other believers this may be the right church home for you. It's not bad enough the former Head Pastor Roger Gale gave his resignation via a taped message it actually took months for the truth to come out.The bottom line he's a predator .Then he's also on the board of another ministry called POTTERS FIELD if that isn't a cult I don't know what is.My friend a contractor from another church did work for him and there was a discrepancy in the bill .So my friend and his 15 year old daughter were on the phone and Roger starts F BOMBING the 2 of them .So I reached out to not 1 but 5 leaders not one response .Then in a sermon Roger says Heidi Baker goes from place to place and everyone gets saved. What utter nonsense. I called Shoreline church and the Head Pastor. Pastor George called me back within 1 hour .I wish the best for Roger I truly do. not once but twice I told him I love him but more than anything his poor wife and family who I believe had no clue what he was up to.We don't wrestle against people but wicked forces .i will keep praying for the Gales .We all have the propensity to fall and fall hard. For a couple years, I struggled to find a church where I could really "fit in". I wanted great teaching, inspiring worship and a place for REAL connection. I've been attending Heritage for several years now and I couldn't be happier. I have made so many great, lifetime friends. The people are loving, caring and involved in each other's lives. When a gal in my community group was in the hospital, a sign up sheet went around to take food to her husband and teenagers for 2 weeks while she recovered from a major surgery. Another time I was locked out of my car outside a customer's house. I called the church to let them know I wouldn't be making it to an event that evening that I RSVP'd for. The lady that answered the phone ended up coming over to pick me up, took me to my house so I could get my spare key and then back to my car! I was so impressed with the care and giving attitude of the church in helping people with small, practical, daily life stuff. Joshua Generation Church has truly become a place of healing and transformation for me. As a military wife, I found myself navigating a lot of grief and loss after moving from North Carolina to California. When I first arrived to California in 2023, I was really struggling, felt so lost, broken, and overwhelmed with sadness and anxiety. I was invited by a friend to Joshua Generation Church to hear her testimony in February 2024. Walking through those doors changed everything. I immediately felt like I was part of a family. The love and the sense of belonging I found here helped me reconnect with God and grow in my faith in ways I never imagined. The people have been a big asset to my growth in my relationship with the Lord. Now, I have the privilege to serve on the worship team and in kids' ministry, and I feel like I truly have a home. I'm just grateful that this church has been a place where God meets me exactly where I am. I visited Joshua Generation Church and was blown away by the warmth and hospitality of the community! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed with open arms. The atmosphere was electric, and you could sense the excitement and passion of the congregation. The preaching was top-notch - inspiring, challenging, and rooted in Scripture. The pastor's message was thought-provoking and relevant, and I left feeling encouraged and motivated to live out my faith. What struck me most, though, was the genuine kindness and love of the people. Everyone I met was friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in getting to know me. Don't trust this Church! they just changed there name but they are all still the same people in power. they will do whatever it takes to protect a child predator and manipulator. I'm not speaking from a position of anger but as someone who worked for these people and on many occasions watched as they tried to just brush all of it under the rug. they will always protect themselves and those in power at the church, I myself have expressed my uncomfortable feelings with how some of their leaders acted and were shut down. If you truly are a person of faith and integrity look into them find the Instagram pages about them, and read about them. they are a church of man, not God they will protect themselves and try to shut down anyone who questions them. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THE LEADERS OF THIS CHURCH! AND DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CHILDREN! read more

Many churches are friendly, but Heritage is where I found true and lasting friendship! For years I committed to different churches, but not to the people. I had big struggles in my life - and often times I felt disappointed, lonely, isolated and even judged. But through this church and its people, I realized that God didn't mean for us to live life alone. We need others! My husband and I have been attending Heritage Christian Fellowship for years. We are now seniors and it is so wonderful to go to a church that is filled with every age group. We love the worship and always go home feeling like we were spiritually challenged and blessed. The first time I walked into a Heritage church service, I was with my wife and children, and we all felt at ease, at peace and welcome. My teenage sons were clearly comfortable out of the gate with their own experience, and volunteered as much on the drive home. That was three years ago, and we've never looked back.
