Wow wow wow! Legit best whale boat experience ever! Captain Chris and Tikan (I know I'm spelling it wrong sorry!) we're amazing! They caught a baby jelly fish for us to see (released it right after unharmed) and fished out polluting balloons and went over why we shouldn't release them. We saw a Grey whale for a full 45 mins! It swam next to us!! They pointed out rare dolphins and a seal amongst other animals. Hands down amazing ! It was my daughters first time whale watching abd she was over the moon excited - they even had sea creature toys for her to play with! Thank you for an exciting time. read more

This was an awesome trip. Very clean boat. The Captain of the boat and the deckhand was very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw hundreds of Dolphins, Sea Lions, and Whales!!!! We were looking for something to do in the cooler climate of Oceanside CA so we opted for an open water cruise with the hope that we would see a whale or at least dolphins. We were rewarded with a pod of dolphins that seemed to be intent on entertaining us. Even if we hadn't seen the dolphins, the cruise was very pleasant. The staff of two were friendly and knowledgeable. There was more than enough room on the boat for everyone to move about and enjoy the ocean views. The majority of the seating area was covered which would be a bonus for those sunny So Ca days. They serve beer and alchohol and some snacks and only take cash on board. There is a bathroom which could use printed and posted instructions on how to flush. I hope I did it correctly. We made on reservations on line which easy, convenient and highly recommended since this 230pm trip was sold out by 11am. We also got a senior (over 55) discount. read more

Had an amazing experience on our Whale and Dolphin watching boat tour from start to finish. The boat was spotless and comfortable, and the crew was very professional, knowledgeable and engaging. Captain Chris got us off to a great start with a warm welcome and safety briefing, then Ollie gave an informative talk about the sea creatures we may see and interesting detail on others we would not see. Tican was the supreme spotter!!! Each member of the crew was professional and engaged with all the guests. It is by far the best crew and ship of this type I've been on. My wife and I booked the OA whale watch tour as apart of our vacation plans. First off, it was not expensive. When we arrived, check-in was easy and quick and we got to choose seats at the front of the boat. The crew was very nice and fun to travel with. After a brief educational presentation on what we could expect to see, we were on our way. The tour was just beautiful. Very exciting boat ride. Although, that day no whale appeared, there were plenty of dolphins and other sea life. Even without a whale sighting I'd go again just for the sea adventure. My wife and I had a really good time, and I was able to get some beautiful photos along the tour. Definitely 5 stars worth with Oceanside Adventures! read more

Spent two-plus hrs on a great boat excursion with Chris, our captain, and Tikhon his first mate who were incredibly knowledgeable, informative, professional, and gracious (cute, too). Observed several families of common porpoises circling and riding alongside of us; glimpsed a purple jelly fish, and then Chris announced he spotted a blue whale some miles away, Off we went where Chris surmised the whale might be. He maneuvered the boat as close as he could as as not to disturb or interrupt its feeding on approx. 3000 lbs of krill. The blue whale is the largest mammal in the sea, weighing up to 200 tons. We heard its sound just below the surface sounding like the roar of the start of the Indy 500. Chris told us to look for where this magnificent whale might dive and we'd be lucky to see its 25' fluke. We were so close. It dove; we saw it's huge fluke and it was an amazing OMG moment. This is the third whale watching tour we have done since we have lived here. Two were down in San Diego. This was a good size boat. Not so many people. We brought visiting family. We only seen dolphins this time. But we will be sure to be back and keep watching for whales. It's a good place to bring our out of town guests. We did see sea lions as well. Fantastic. Whenever I have out of state company we tend to go out on the ocean. This is the first time I have used Oceanside Adventures. They were great. We had a wonderful time. It didn't hurt that we came upon 3 whales that decided to swim under and around the boat. The captain turned off the engines and we sat there enjoying it. I booked a whale watching excursion for myself and my 12 year old son. I booked online, which was a simple and straightforward process. Our original booking on 7/20/22 was cancelled due to the high surf advisory. I was notified of the cancellation in a timely manner and was contacted the same morning with the offer of a full refund or to move my booking to an alternate date. I was able to move the booking to the following day 7/21/22. Check in was easy and we were greeted and brought aboard the boat right on schedule. The captain gave clear and concise safety instructions. The boat was clean and had enough seating for everyone. Along with the captain there were 2 crew members who were very friendly and knowledgeable about marine life. Throughout the trip they were answering questions and were very involved with the guests. We were lucky enough to encounter multiple pods of dolphins; many of them swam along with the boat. We ended up going out about 6 miles before we had to begin our return to the harbor. Unfortunately we did not encounter any whales but our experience was still memorable. As a local I will absolutely be booking another excursion. I would highly recommend the experience to anyone visiting the area. read more

We took our family of ten (four grandkids under 10) on the whale and dolphin watching cruise. Ran like clockwork and the staff was very friendly and professional. Our captain was able to catch up with a very large pod of dolphins, probably over a thousand. Said that didn't happen often. It was so exciting and the kids and grownups alike loved the experience. I was planning a whale watching trip to entertain the parents, and this was the perfect boat with a fantastic crew. We brought extra coats to bundle up, but there is a great vinyl 'cabin' that lets you avoid the wind but take in the whole view. There is room up front if you want to be in the open air, so you can have your pick. The cruise itself was really comfortable, no trouble with my stomach rolling along with the waves. :) Snacks and beverages were available (soda / beer / cocktails). I didn't have any, so I can't vouch for the price. The 2 crew members on the main deck with the passengers were very friendly & helpful. They have a few animal ID charts, books & such to take a look at while you're waiting to catch sight of whales. And we did get to see 2 gray whales! I heard on the earlier trip they saw a dozen - it's all about the luck of the draw, but one of the crew members told me that they do check in with other boats & compare notes, so they do their best to get you out where the action is! read more

This was an awesome experience. As a quadriplegic it was so great to find a fun, accessible activity to do with my family. It was fun, relaxing, and we saw 2 full pods of dolphins that came so close to the boat you could almost touch them! In total we saw about 500 dolphins!!! We had a great time on their nice clean, new boat. We saw lots and lots of dolphins up close. Also, got to see three whales. Also, a nice navy air craft carrier!! Very nice crew on our boat. Saw a dolphin stampede! Really a fun time. I could tell the captain liked doing what he was doing and wasn't in a hurry to get back into port.
