We couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding! Lindy is honestly a superhero - she took us under her wing from day one and helped us every single step of the way, never once putting any pressure on and always being on hand at any time for any questions or sudden bridal stresses! She keeps a cool head and always has a huge smile on her face, I felt as if I'd known her for years after the very first meeting! She helped every step of the way, from planning, to suggesting vendors like the DJ and officiant, to helping with set-up and adding her own little touches to the tables. On the day, Lindy helped calm me down when I was nervous, kept everyone in touch among the two parties when we were getting ready, but while she worked she stayed so under the radar, quietly and almost unseen just cleaning up and making sure everything was running smoothly; I cannot sing Lindy's praises enough! The venue itself is sublime - rustic, beautiful, intimate but open and with plenty of space for any party. We had around 50 guests which is way below capacity but the way Lindy and her team arranged the tables made it feel just right. For a fairly cold evening (January wedding), the fire pit and the two heaters they provided were most welcome! We even had a most welcome and blessed visit from site cat Ninja who was a big hit! Everything was just utterly perfect, all our guests said this was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. My daughters Girl Scout troop used their cookie money to go horseback riding here. Brandi and all the teenage instructors were excellent with the girls. They explained how to care for the horses, saddle them and ride without fear. They were exceedingly patient and made it an incredible experience for everyone who rode. This place is MAGICAL. An overwhelming number of our guests walked up to me wide-eyed and said "this place is amazing!" So many wedding venues provide you with their own vision of what your wedding should be - Quail Haven Farm truly is a place where you can run wild with YOUR vision. We had a medieval theme....and as far as we were concerned it was the most perfect spot in the universe for the wedding. Lindy is an absolute angel. Her and her husband (who is responsible for most of the gorgeous garden and foliage rambling about the property) made us feel like family...she let our imaginations run wild and was so supportive! They really went above and beyond what we would expect from a vendor. QHF allows you to bring in all your vendors (which for me was huge) and they included the table and chair rentals in our contract - that made life SO easy! Their staff was awesome too - cheery and low key (I barely saw them but magically the work was getting done!) We also ended up getting a HUGE treat on the day of the wedding - they were able to provide some amazing extras (like a huge dance floor at NO cost) just based on the sheer luck and good timing of some of their other events. I had great time riding at Quail Haven Farm. I am a beginner to horse back riding and the trainers were very patient and sensitive to that. My lesson started with the basic maintenance of horse and preparing him for the ride. I worked with "Clyde," a gorgeous mahogany colored horse. After getting Clyde groomed and saddled, we headed to the ring to begin our lesson. I was a little nervous a first because Clyde is huge and can be a bit intimidating, however, my trainer Lizzy talked me through everything that I needed to do and I so found myself relaxed atop Clyde. We worked on basics because it was my first lesson; walking, stopping, steering, turning, trotting and posting. We finished the lesson with a walk along a trail on their property. If you're interested in learning how to ride or are already an experienced rider, Quail Haven Farm can help you reach new heights. Looking for a wedding venue was a pretty strenuous experience. We wanted to have control over what our wedding turned out to be--no cookie cutter experience for us. At the same time, we knew we were going to need help and guidance. This was the only time we were going to do this, after all! After researching a ton of places online that were either massively out of our (small) budget or wouldn't allow us to really make the day our own, we finally decided to go and visit the first promising venue we stumbled across: Quail Haven Farm. The rest is history! From the moment we drove up we knew this was where we were going to get married. It was the only place we looked at it, and it's where we were happily married on May 24th. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous--a little rustic oasis.We were allowed to use our own vendors (most of which were recommended by the venue), which really let us make the day unique to our personalities. The entire venue has a very peaceful vibe about it, and I simply couldn't imagine myself having a stressful moment there. This air of calm is thanks in large part to Lindy, the owner and wedding guru who helped us put together the perfect wedding. Lindy is friendly and attentive, but was never overbearing or salesy. Throughout the year between booking our date and the actual event we sent her countless e-mails, and she always responded with great advice in a timely manner. I am by no means an event planner, and a year's worth of unfamiliar activities really should have had my anxieties boiling over, but being able to turn to Lindy meant I never got to that point! The day of our wedding was absolutely gorgeous, and everything truly went exactly as planned--thanks in large part to Lindy keeping us on schedule. My hubby and were recently married at Quail Haven Farm, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. Lindy was an absolute sweetheart to work with and she gave me loads of helpful information that I would have never thought to ask for. She was entirely flexible with showing the grounds to my family and friends and even helped a bit with set up before the wedding. We had family help make all of our flowers and didn't want to overwhelm them with decorating the arbor as well, so I had planned to just enjoy the simple rustic beauty as it was (the grounds are so beautiful it really doesn't require extra decor). Lo and behold we show up on the day of our wedding and she had the arbor beautifully decorated with flowers that went perfectly with our colors. Amazing! Who does that these days!?!?! She had so many helpful tips and was very straight forward and honest about everything. She even offered to return our rental chairs (the rental company we used was a friend of hers) so my brother didn't have to. No unexpected fees or problems, just a smile and helpful hand. Absolutely stunning wedding venue! I went to my Mother in Law's wedding here this weekend and the place is beautiful and peaceful. It set up perfectly for weddings and has so many places to take awesome pictures. The host was there making sure everything went smoothly and the place was decorated beautifully. There's a cottage for the bride to get ready, a covered patio for dinner, a lawn for the cocktail hour, and you can even walk around to see the horses. Such a perfect place for a wedding or party. The owner was also so so nice - she saw me walking with my baby and showed me to the bridal cottage where I could feed him and try to get him to nap. I can't say enough good things. I got married at Quail Haven Farm this summer, July 2012, and I am so glad that I did! My wife and I chose to get married here because it reminded us of San Luis Obispo County, where we met each other in college. The farm is absolutely beautiful with a red barn, stunning garden area for the ceremony, and reception area with enough room to dance, eat, and play lawn games. We had a DIY wedding where we made all of our decorations and flowers although we did not have to decorate the farm very much because the venue is naturally so beautiful (the additions we made were to add a personal touch that reflected our personalities.) Lindy was very gracious and allowed us to visit the farm whenever we needed to with prior notification. We also had our rehearsal there the day before and Lindy allowed us to begin setting things up and she was flexible in letting us come early the day of the wedding (which was very helpful for us DIYers.) Lindy and her husband, James, went above and beyond when it came to helping us during our wedding, and for that were are extremely grateful! Lindy was so helpful, flexible, and kind she made it possible for us to have the perfect day to celebrate our marriage with our friends and families in a way that reflected who we are. We are still in awe of how beautiful our wedding was and we know that the setting of their gorgeous farm played a huge role in our wedding being so special. This venue is gorgeous. I just had my wedding here on 4/13. Lindy was extremely helpful and gave us great recommendations for vendors. The garden area is lush and green. Lindy and James keep the garden looking beautiful, I can only imagine how it will look in the next month or so with everything in full bloom. Everyone loved the colorful flowers everywhere, you truly don't even need your own flowers for the ceremony site. They have plenty of seating during cocktail hour which was very nice for my older guests. Ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all have their own areas. All chairs, tables and table linens were included in the price. The locations is able to accommodate a food truck and you can get service right from the truck itself. Great location for photos. Lindy is amazing! From the moment we met her and took a tour of Quail Haven Farm we knew it was the perfect place to host our reception to celebrate with family and friends. We attended a wedding there two years ago and remembered how beautiful it was. Lindy takes the time to personally assist the bride/groom with each detail along the way (and encouraging the nervous bride that no matter what happens with the weather, it would all work out perfectly!). It was the first weekend in April and thankfully the weather cooperated! The wisteria, plants and other flowers blooming around the venue provided a beautiful backdrop for pictures of the bride/groom, family and friends. The large horse barn also provided a perfect setting for photos and was a wonderful place for guests to wander around. Our grandsons experienced their first glimpse of a horse close up! The two areas provided for the cocktail hour and the dinner were set up in the afternoon, with Lindy providing tubs for beverages, tables, chairs, linens and an easel for the table assignment chart. Lindy also made sure everything was in order and provided guidance to the vendors as they arrived to set up the bar, dinner and dancing. We are so grateful to Lindy for making our evening an evening to remember not just for us, but for our family and friends! I can hardly put into words how amazing this venue was and even more amazing, the queen in charge, Lindy! We looked at this venue first, and immediately fell in love with it. The property is located on a working horse ranch and is absolutely gorgeous. We love all of the heart and soul that Lindy and her family have put into it. Why we chose Quail Haven for our wedding and reception in three simple points: 1. Property is extremely pretty. Photographers have little fits of joy over it, it's quiet, and it's the perfect size (our wedding was about 100 people). It's also pretty centrally located for San Diego, Riverside, and Orange counties. 2. The owners, Lindy especially, are outstanding human beings. They bend over backwards to make things easy and straightforward for you. Perhaps most importantly, the evidence that they CARE can be seen with the constant improvements and upgrades to the venue. They also communicate very well. 3. They're very flexible. We wanted to use our own vendors and bring in a musician, two things you would think most places would allow but don't. We hosted my daughter's 6th birthday party here in March and it was such a great experience. The owner, Lindy, was great about communicating and very accommodating. Brandy and the girls were amazing with my daughter and her guests...even patiently working with one that was a little timid around the horses. Even Miguel the groundskeeper/handyman was so helpful and friendly. We did not encounter one person there who didn't go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous...it made my job decorating so easy because the scenery provided so much! My daughter and her guests enjoyed themselves greatly and will no doubt remember this experience forever. This place is an amazing bargain as well...for the price other companies were charging just for one hour with two ponies, we got an hour with six ponies/horses with individual trainers/assistants for each rider and they played games like "carry the egg," "who can keep the most water in her cup?" and "musical stalls." I really enjoyed sitting back, relaxing, and snapping pictures for that hour while Brandy took over and led the horseback activities. And the girls were all smiling and giggling the whole time. Wonderful experience. I took my 7 year old granddaughter there for her birthday and she had a fabulous time. She was given a basic riding lesson and loved every minute of it. When booking the appointment we were advised to arrive 30 minutes early for paperwork and Also so there would be time for her to learn about brushing and saddeling. We were also told that she would be welcome to stay after the lesson to unsaddle and brush the horse. This was a great learning experience. The lesson itself was taught by Brandi. She was so good with my granddaughter. It was fun to watch her go from being very timid to a big smile as her confidence grew. Brandi uses easy to understand phrases and lots of praise and encouragement. I would highly recommend this stable to anyone looking for a lesson venue for children. This review is a few months late, but Quail Haven was absolutely the perfect venue for us! This was only the second venue we visited and we knew right away that we had found "the one". From the beautiful grounds covered in flowers, the awesome barn, to the amazing owner (Lindy), to the fact that we could bring our own vendors free of charge, and everything else that made Quail Haven such a special place- we were sold. Lindy is soooo helpful throughout the entire process and really treats you as if you were a family friend getting married on her property. My mom and i went to meet Lindy who runs it and see the venue - let's just say it was the only venue we looked at. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous but Lindy is friendly, funny, patient and incredibly helpful. The wedding was last Friday and couldn't have turned out more perfectly. Lindy was so easy to work with. She was ready with suggestions, solutions, and humor at every step. The venue was absolutely gorgeous - the roses are so lovely you hardly need to bring your own decorations. The lights strung around the reception area, and the mason jar candles they have hanging from the trellis make it absolutely magical after dark. You can pick your own vendors so have lots of control over the food, music, etc. unlike many venues I looked at online that force you to use their services. Lindy has a suggested vendor page on her website and we used a DJ and caterer from her recommendations and weren't disappointed. Every guest I've talked to has raved about how gorgeous the venue was. I even got to take a picture with a horse! It's a kid and dog friendly wedding venue, so our dogs got to be a part of the ceremony, and our friends were able to bring their toddlers without having to worry.
