The owners of the properties run a total SCAM. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. It is a nightmare. Upon speaking to other guests, the owners let you stay, then come ambush your event, and take you off the rental through your booking site, and then claim that there were damages to the property. I wish i could give them less than 1 star. I wouldn't be surprised if good comments were left by their friends and fam. Multiple people have had terrible experiences with these owners. They are unprofessional and rude. read more

Booked the last week in June 2020 back in December 2019 and paid a $1000 deposit. When time came for payment of the balance of the rental fee in late March, I didn't want to pay due to concerns about COVID and related issues causing us to cancel our plans. I arranged with management that I would forfeit my deposit if the property went unrented that week; if they rented it, I would get my deposit back. I kept watching on the reservation website and saw that the property was available for the same fee that I rented for up until the first week of May when it showed no longer available that week. At that time, I contacted management who said yes, it had been rented to someone else, but they had to rent for less and therefore would keep my deposit. Of course, there was no evidence provided that they actually rented for a lower price nor was I ever offered a lower price. They "graciously" offered to apply my deposit to the same property next year, but of course now the rental fee has gone up. Really disappointed that they took this approach and basically pocketed a double deposit for the same week. read more

We have rented two homes that Oceanside manages and thoroughly enjoyed our stay each time. We had booked one of their homes again this summer for a two week period, but due to COVID we aren't able to come. Fortunately we worked with Oceanside to open up the dates for someone else to rent the property and give us the flexibility to move the dates to a later time. We appreciate them working with us on this and look forward to being able to enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean from the deck and the majority of the windows that face the ocean. read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. To begin, I'd like to say that I am a frequent traveler, and have rented many homes in the past. Never in my life have I ever experienced a more horrific event. This home was rented for a three night stay for an intimate proposal. What was supposed to be one of the happiest days of our families life turned into a nightmare. The owner of the home, a sick woman, marched into the property, stepped in front of the newly engaged couple and started screaming at our family. She removed a wig off her head proclaiming that she had cancer, making us all extremely uncomfortable and mortified. She tried to play the cancer card to justify her cruelty but little did she know that everyone there had been a victim of that sickness in one way or another as well. It was a scene out of a horror movie. This sick woman, who is the owner, lives a few houses down and eavesdrops on the people that are staying in the home which is a complete invasion of privacy. Not only that, but she had the audacity to walk onto the property which is completely illegal and wrong! Even her husband allowed himself to walk through the front door and go into the home when there were underage girls inside who felt violated and afraid. The people who were renting the home next to us were doing everything they can to defend us and try to reason with this psychopath. She was speaking to them respectfully but yelling at us and in convinced that the treatment had something to do with our ethnicity. We were forced to call the authorities and the police officers reassured us that these people were in the wrong! They were trespassing and could've gotten arrested! It's so sad to me that just because someone is miserable in their own life, they feel the need to make others miserable. Stay away from this place, please. Please do yourself a favor and avoid the humiliation and horror. They will stalk you and eavesdrop. They will treat you with disrespect if you are not white. I hope for everyone's sake that this sick woman's renters license is taken from her. Stay the hell away! read more

We stayed at one of Oceanside Beach Rentals right on the beach in May 2020. We had slight concerns due to the covid bans just being lifted. But our worries dissolved immediately! Let me start by saying I am a very particular person when it comes to detail and cleanliness. That being said, this house was SPOTLESS! They provided additional cleaning supplies as needed as well (which we did not need). The house had everything we needed and then some. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of seating inside and out. The yard....how can I even explain how amazing it is. Not only does it have its own sandy beach and firepit, it also has a nice grass yard! We will 100% be back for certain. Kim was super helpful and friendly. Its not often you find vacation rentals cared for to the level that this property is. So you can book with confidence and enjoy your vacation! read more

Let me start this review off like this. I had one of the worst experiences of my entire life at the property of 921 pacific st. Oceanside, CA. I came here to relax, enjoy time with my friends, and my family and it all went downhill. I was proposing to my long time girlfriend when this random women came by (apparently is the property owner, yet showed no ID, no proof of her being the property owner). Came in, ruined the entire day. I had paid over 2,500$ for the weekend and she came in with no knock, no phone call, NOTHING. She destroyed my property, she made a fool out of me in front of my guests and friends. This was by far my worst experience, it was really embarrassing. Stayed here for a few week with my family, very beautiful home. The house is very bright and clean, came with all the cleaning supplies, vacuum and iron. The views were absolutely beautiful, with a direct view of the ocean. The neighborhood is very relaxed. Loved that every bedroom had its own television in it. Loved the big dinning room table and many seating in the living room to have more space for everyone! This is a very great stay that I would highly recommend to anyone!! read more

We rented a very cute beach house in Oceanside through Oceanside Beach Rentals. We actually were in a bit of an emergency as our house flooded, so we needed something quick and we wanted a place that was cheery after what happened. The manager, Kim, was so helpful, going above and beyond what was expected. We were looking on VRBO and messaged her with our predicament, and she sent us links to great places we missed and also some places that were not even on VRBO. Within an hour, we had a place we we're excited to go to and she made it as easy as could be. The place we rented was on The Strand in Oceanside, right across from the beach. It was bright and cheery, very clean, and decorated nicely. The beds were very confortable and the kitchen was stocked with all you'd need. We enjoyed watching the sunset every night, even though we could not go on the sand because of COVID-19. However, we enjoyed our stay with the beautiful ocean view and could not be more pleased. read more

May I just start by saying, please do yourself a favor and read this review before ever deciding to rent any property from Kim, her daughter, or whoever they left in charge. Let me just say, I had convinced myself to not waste another minute discussing these people and the trauma they brought upon my family and I, but I have since changed my mind. My reason being that she chooses to fill her page with fake reviews from family members that follow a script of falsehoods and constantly reports reviews that do not glorify her in any way (I will not be surprised if she does this same with this very review). This woman has no sense of privacy and somehow knows exactly what is occurring outside AND inside of of these homes at all times. When celebrating an intimate proposal of a family member that occurred at the property that we rented from this vile woman, Kim showed up mid proposal and chose to cause a scene that was the most disrespectful "show" I have ever encountered in my life. Not only did she choose to yell to the mountains that she had cancer, which mind you had absolutely nothing to do with anything. She chose to yank the wig off her head and traumatize all of us that were in attendance (mind you, there were children). She chose to disregard the fact that many of my family members have been personally impacted with cancer and had zero knowledge of just how insensitive she was being. It doesn't stop there. She began hosing down our own personal belongings and harassed every single person in attendance. Neighbors who witnessed this were left shocked and recommended she seek professional help. As a medical professional myself, I agree. We rented the property for a weekend but ended up running out of there a few hours after check-in due to genuine fear. I highly doubt this post will be up for longer than a week, but I do believe I owe anybody looking for any type of relaxation or just trying to enjoy a getaway to look elsewhere. read more

Bottom line - I would give zero reviews if feasible. Do not book through this company, do not book through VRBO. My in-laws come to Oceanside every year to visit. This year, being their 50th Anniversary, my husband and I booked a property on the strand large enough for my brother in-laws & their spouses to come as well. First issue we had, once booking the rental, I received an email from Oceanside Beach Rental stating that the price listed was not accurate, it was actually nearly 1500 dollars more than what I booked at. I had already provided travel dates and itinerary to my family, so felt I had no option other than to pay the additional amount. Second issue .... COVID 19 happens. My in-laws are in their mid-late 70s, already in the group of high-risk folks. Additionally, my father in-law is a cancer survivor and was advised by his doctor not to travel to California. I reached out with this information 5 months in advance of my reservation, asking for a refund... not only did I not get a refund, but Oceanside Beach Rentals did not even have the decency to return a call or email. My husband and I are not wealthy, we are an active duty military family. This is a significant amount of money for us to lose. I am so disappointed with Oceanside Beach Rentals, this is a pandemic, times are trying times for us all - financially & emotionally. Do the right thing by your customers. read more

My kids and I were in Oceanside for a quick visit with family. This was a great place to stay--right on the beach, just south of the pier, yet close to several dining locations. The property has a gated garage and entrance for security. We were on the second floor, but used the stairs instead of the elevator out of habit. The unit we stayed in was fabulous. More than large enough for the three of us; well furnished with cook and dinnerware, towels and linens, and even lounge chairs for the patio that looks out on to the beach. The bedrooms were spacious, and the beds very comfortable. The unit was pristine clean. Electronic check-in made access very easy. The only downside to the trip was the weather. We had a lot of rain, but coming from the deserts in Phoenix, rain is almost a pleasure for us, and despite the rain, I still got up and did a beach walk each morning...no issues with the sand--tons of it. I found the rental rates very reasonable for this property and would highly recommend this unit for those looking for a quiet, picture perfect location read more

Why oh why didn't I read these reviews before renting with this company??? The only upside was that they canceled our contract less than 30 days from our family reunion leaving us high and dry...the reason?...we had more people attending than were contracted for. Yes, that's true. We had and additional 2 infants, 2 children, and a 91-yr-old (who was the host). These "additional" people were either sleeping in pack and play cribs or weren't staying at the rental...they were visiting each day. According to the crazy witch property manager, they count each and every person that steps foot onto the rental property as someone that needs to be included in your contract. So...by that logic, the pizza delivery guy would need to be included in the contract. INSANE. Thank goodness we rented another house, much better amenities, and a good property manager. Our vacation was much better without the nutcase property manager who lived a few houses away (according to her). RUN the other way if dealing with Oceanside Beach Rental. read more

Due to Covid, we hadn't done anything all summer And really wasn't planning to but I researched houses and mapped out 8 and went one afternoon to find one that gave us the best access to beach with the fewest people around and this house is it! Because the beach is only accessible during low tide, it's not a beach goer location where people can set up camp so no ones around, other than people from the other houses and they aren't out everyday. We had 4 adults, 4 teenagers, and a 4 year old so even during high tide we were out boogie boarding! We seen dolphins and otter everyday, which was exciting so don't forget your binoculars! There is tons of beach toys and boogie boards already there! Tons of towels, though wash rags went quickly. Everything you need in the kitchen is provided but if you decide to do Uber eats the front door is split in half which was perfect for waiting on deliveries! The TVs in all the rooms is great because after a long day at the beach it's nice to lay in your room and watch tv. We walked up and down the beach and this house has the best yard by far. The stairs down to the beach only go half way, but it's easy to climb down the big rocks and we used those rocks to sit on instead of bringing down our chairs. If you are looking for a beach house to vacation at in the age of covid and social distancing, this is the house! read more

Very easy to rent this property and communication was great. We stayed for a week early May. Weather was perfect. Not hot but enough sunny days mixed with clouds. We've been to Oceanside many times and still found new things to discover along with favorites. Went to the Oceanside Art Museum, the Flower Fields, Self-Realization Fellowship Meditation Garden, Legoland and watching the sea lions at the harbor. Favorites include: street fair, swimming, walking the beach/pier, sitting on balcony overlooking the ocean/pier view, walking around the North Coast Village ground, and the Harbor. Favorite eating spots: Harbor fish and chips, Joe's Crab Shack, Craft burgers and 264 Fresco in Carlsbad. New discovery Ramen Menma found on the Oceanside Coastal Map offered when we checked in. Great map and useful coupons. Thanks Logan for allowing us a late checkout. If I can make a suggestion it would be to have more laundry soap. The bottle you left for us ran out after the 5th load and I like to do my laundry the night before check out so I dont have to do it when I return home. We had an amazing week. read more

The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless.I was very happy with the location.I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.This is our second year using this property for our annual business retreat. Everyone just loves it! It is a beautiful house with plenty of room and amazing views. You just can't beat the views!! Sunsets and dolphins and waves... what more do you need? In addition, the property is managed very efficiently. Any issues are immediately addressed and communication before, during and after your stay is top notch. Excellent customer service! Last year they even recommended a caterer to have dinner brought in. We did that again this year because it was so successful! Dinner at sunset on the roof... simply perfect! I highly recommend this property. If We can make one suggestion, besides the mirrors over the sink, there were no magnified makeup mirrors in the bathrooms and adding those would be a great suggestion. We will be back! read more
