I do not know how the old rooms are now, but I stayed in them once recently and there were no bugs, not to say there aren't any in the other old rooms, but I try to avoid those. The new rooms however are much better. Every time I come I ask for the newer rooms. They are a bit higher from $5-10 but I'd rather stay in those than an old one. I think they hired more staff to take better care of the rooms so it's a better than it was years ago and much cleaner.

The staff is attentive and welcoming. The rental properties are brilliantly designed. The attention to details is incredible. My grandkids literally shrieked and gasped with delight when they entered. The owners designs puts the other properties to shame. I highly recommend The Heavenly Views rental properties for those who want to get away and unwind....I mean c'mon just the memory of the sound of the ocean puts me in a wonderfully peaceful mood. No real issues…read more However, when we got there, someone else's flip flops were waiting to say hello at the top of the stairs...so to the bottom of the stairs they went...there were clothes left in the dryer from a previous tenant. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The house has a lovely beach feel to the house, until you pull back the covers on the bed and then the sheets look like my great grandmother lives there (ok no big deal) however, I don't know if someone else has been sleeping in those sheets?? We stay in Surfside 3 or 4 times a year. We have stayed at various houses and they always put the sheets folded at the end of the bed to ensure the house guests knows the sheets are fresh. At any rate, the house that we normally now rent at was booked. So we chose Mr. Zuhair Hillail's property, Truly Heaven on the Beach at 123 Carlton, Surfside Beach, Texas 94103. When we got there and got all set up, we went to turn on the tv in the master bedroom upstairs and it wouldn't work. After about 1 hour, we texted Zuhair, the owner, and he said he would be "on the island later", he lives in Houston, and would come by. We then got it working and told him never mind, we got it worked out. Next thing we know, we are outside and this jeep pulls up and someone starts hollering at us. IT IS THE OWNER. What? What is he doing here...ok maybe he didn't understand we didn't need him. He comes upstairs and my husband shows him the tv is working ok and then he leaves. A little while later he drives by again!!!! (oh and then tv quit working again....we spent the whole week using our laptop. And let's not even discuss the internet....hardly ever worked...so we didn't have TV most of the time (no big deal) but I also needed to get some work done, the internet SUCKED). The next day what happens? Well glad you asked! The owner shows up again, this time to just to get fishing gear out his garage. I told my husband then and there that I thought this behavior was very strange, to the point of CREEPY. In my humble opinion, he had no business, unless it was an emergency, coming to the house that we rented, without some kind of notice. And then he drives by trying to be discreet...dude we see you! Anyways, we leave and leave the house in better condition than we got it. He calls my husband and BEGS him to talk to me to not leave him a review. Anything less than a 5 star would kill his business, he says. My husband tells him, just call my wife let her tell you her concerns and she won't even leave a review. That was June 4 and today is June 9. I'm writing this because he never called me. Oh and I cannot leave a review on the booking website VRBO because he cancelled our reservation so that I couldn't leave a review. So I am leaving reviews everywhere else I can think of. She mispronounced words repeatedly: she kept talking about "mal-volent" ghosts. And her speech was slurred like she was drunk. I may have wasted money but wasn't willing to also waste time. What a shame.

Wow what an amazing tour! I didn't have many expectations going in except for maybe that creepy…read morefeeling you get when walking through a cemetery at night. Thanks to our Guide Bern that feeling never came. She was so kind and gentle that it felt almost like I was touring someone's home. She told us many stories of people buried in the cemetery and history facts as it related to Galveston. I took many pictures. One of the other tourists took a picture from far away and and later zoomed in on the photo and you could see what appeared to be a victorian female. You can see the crinoline and muted green dress.. ironically someone in that crypt was born that day so we sang them happy birthday. Guess she rewarded us with an apparition. Crazy! The tour was just the right amount of time, we weren't rushed and it didn't lag. I had my 3 older kids with me 15, 18, 19 and they loved it! One of them said Bern did such a great job it seemed like one continuous conversation instead of a history lesson which was her expectation. Ill post some pics that are questionable, make sure you zoom in to examine closely but you'll have to decide for yourself if what you see is paranormal. Sorry.. don't have the other tourists pic to show you.. i guess you'll have to take your own!! Happy hunting!

The agent at Beach Time Vacation called a couple of days before the trip to make sure we were still planning on the vacation and if we had any questions. The house we rented had a keyless entry, which made the check in process easy. The property was nicely decorated, had all the kitchen appliances i could have asked for and had sufficient wi-fi and tv for my needs. I spent a lot of the vacation walking on the beach or sitting on the large gulf front deck overlooking the water. I would rent from Beach Time Vacation Rentals again.

My family and I stayed at one of their vacation rentals in Galveston this past summer. At the last…read moreminute we had to unexpectedly bring our pet with us which the cameras immediately showed, and within an hour we were asked to pay the additional pet fee, which we gladly did. She is a very well behaved, dog, has been through two very expensive and intensive training classes. Never one time did she get on any furniture, she stayed on a towel on the floor next to us that we provided for her. She was never once left unattended in the house. After we left, we received emails with claims that she was on the furniture and peed on the furniture. In the end I had to pay a total of $337 for cleaning fees alone, and we were still required to clean up the place before we left. When I asked for proof, of the cleaning fees that they claimed they had to pay I was sent a photo which was unreliable because the cushion could've been turned over and no proof of a cleaning fee. All in all, the beach house that was supposed to cost about $210 a night ended up costing $1069 to stay for 43 hours. The beach house itself was very nice but the management company is very unethical, and looks for ways to add fees that are unsubstantiated, straight up lies. I would not use them again.

We couldn't even stay there for more than 13 hours due to the amount of mold. We got in late so we had no choice but to stay until the morning, everyone woke up sick. When we asked for a refund airbnb will not directly credit the funds they are making us choose a host payout method that will force us to fill out tax papers and takes 1.5% of the funds. The host is only offering a partial credit because she has determined the condo was clean. Appalled and disgusted that they will take advantage of families and put them in potential health risks. I have pictures and proof of all the mold, the toilet not working, the dishes caked on with food, the sliding glass door had no handles and what was there was broken off. Everything was covered in dust and overall grimmy. Cathie has stated that it is professionally cleaned and that she also has allergies so to her it was fine. I do not believe cathie has been in this property in months. It did not look anything like the photos. The condo needs to be reported to the health dept due to the amount of mold.
