We had a Pizza , salad and tried their craft beers. Salad was amazing, the " Session IPA" was the best I've had at any brewery in Baja Mexico. That includes Tijuana, Ensenada, Mexicali & San Felipe. Now the pizza toppings were all very good. But the pizza dough wasn't that great. Ochento's pizza definitely needs to get with what's out there now. 10 years ago in the valley it's we could have been the best. But several places in this valley make their Pizza with a far better pizza dough. Next time we go we will try their pasta, salad and of course their amazing Session beer. read more

This was such a fantastic spot on the courtyard side. The tasting included four different beers, and the pizza was easily the standout. It was some of the best I've had in a long time and came straight out of the oven. The venue is tucked away in the hills and has this charming treehouse vibe with plenty of seating. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating. There were also animals on the property you could pet and the donkey especially loved the attention. A funny little detail was the restroom, where you had to use sawdust to "flush." It definitely added to the rustic charm. I definitely want to come back. read more

I'm so glad we found Ochento's Pizza our waiter Alex was attentive. We order the fried zucchini with ranch delicious! , the chipotle honey wings served with jicama and celery, oh my were they delicious!! We ordered a large pizza half Colombian and Hawaiian. Both pizza delicious the Colombian super recommended! Loved the ambiance great live band playing (only Saturday nights 5-8) indoors and outdoor sitting. We sat inside since it was fall season and a bit cold. The restaurant welcome doggies so cute. The decor is great even a motorcycle hanging from the ceiling. People were raving about this place so decided to try it. I can honestly say who ever gives it more than 32-3 stars has never had great pizza. Place it self is nice and rustic vibe to it with excellent views. Service was decent pizza did take a bit. But both pizzas were dry almost felt like they over cooked it. When our private tour guide took us on this back hills dirt road and there were doves in cages, a Toucan that talks, a donkey and a real casual Italian place that we'd never have found on our own, I was surprised. She insisted this was a famous place with the best pizza in all of Mexico. She was so right! When I got home, I looked them up, and there they were as #1 pizza place. Made reservations for my Birthday Dinner. This place as recommended by a friend so we had to try. We arrived at 6:30 and requested to sit inside because it was chilly outside. There was live 3 person band playing. Very good played jazzy and blues music. Place is located about a couple miles into a mountain side. Very nice property. Great ambiance. We were seated right away and server was okay. She had to be prompted a couple of times because she forgot things we requested and our pizza came with things we didn't want but I chose to eat it anyway. We chose the spinach salad to start and ordered the Ochento's works pizza with a side of meatball. The food came out right away. And boy we were not disappointed. The salad had good flavor and the pizza dough, sauce and amount of toppings was perfect. It was a really good pizza. Very enjoyable. The meatball and sauce was very tasty too and we sliced it up and added to our pizza. The band sang a love song my Hubby dedicated to me for my Birthday it was very nice. And I ordered the piña colada cheesecake for my dessert. It was so good. We will definitely be coming back here again. read more

My friend and I would highly recommend this place! It was definitely an experience driving to it, but we'll worth the wait. We arrived 30 mins before they closed and we wouldn't have known it because the staff was very patient, friendly, and attentive. At the entrance they have a little vendor market and didn't get to check it out because we arrived late. They have several areas for seating with live music options as well. I've been here a couple of times, and though it's kind of out of the way, it's totally worth it! The food is always delicious no matter what you order. I forgot to take a picture of the tres queso pizza, but it was very tasty. It has a lot to look at so while you're waiting for your food, you can check out their goats and ducks or gardens outside. They also have tables big enough for larger parties. They're very eco friendly as well-you'll see what I mean if you use the restroom. But aside from that it's a lovely dining experience all together. The staff is great, and the food is yummy, so I know I'll be back next time I'm in town. read more

I don't know that this place could be any more amazing! When my mother first insisted we drive all the way out here for this, I was up for it. It was quite a track and seem to go in the middle of nowhere then lo and behold there's this mirage of a fabulous atmosphere restaurant restaurant. It's hard to describe, but this place is amazing. It's true gem. The zoo is a unique touch as you walk in. My son loved it. I was not expecting to see such a thing. The restaurant is what I was really impressed with though. It's open air, with multi-leveled patio seating, everywhere, surrounded by greenery. He almost feel like your dining in a treehouse. The soft, glowing lights, add a beautiful ambience. Despite the restaurant, being so busy, the staff were active and friendly. They seemed to be on top of things, and we never wanted for anything. Plenty of parking. When you first drive up, if you see the initial parking strip full, keep driving back and around the restaurant. There's an entire lot back there. The pizza was absolutely amazing. Who would've guessed that some of the best pizza I've ever had would be in the middle of nowhere in Mexico! All of the food was just great. If you want a unique experience, I definitely recommend giving this a try. It's worth the drive! read more

Ochento's is a multi level restaurant and bar that serves unique pies and tasty crafty beer. The main dining area is all outdoors with about five or six dogs walking the property, begging for snacks, and belly rubs. My party and I ordered a chorizo and a pepperoni/ham pizza. Both were amazing, but the chorizo was the better of the two. Spicy chorizo sausage, fresh veggies, two different kinds of cheese, and all on thin crust. I loved the crust, light and crispy. Before the pizza indulgence we started in the basement bar, sipped a few beers, sampled some local wine, and walked the grounds This place is beautiful and the main outdoor seating area has a very nice view of the valley below. I came here with a large group and the staff here took excellent care of us . We absolutely loved our lunch and experience here . Talk about great hospitality and food . The restaurant is very charming , I really enjoyed all of the trees and outside dining . Now let's talk about the food . We had large salad with delicious orange bell pepper ,red onion , mushrooms, olives , tomatoes , feta cheese and an excellent balsamic salad dressing. I liked the dressing so much I bought a bottle for 11.00 US dollars . We had some delicious pizza on a really good thin crust . We were boring and ordered the pepperoni pizza and it was very good. Thick and hearty we couldn't eat it all and we ordered a small. There was a live band rocking out inside. They were also nice enough to break $100 bill for me. With American dollars with some pesos mixed in. So helpful. After dinner in this lovely place we were taken down the path and down an outdoor stairway and led to another bar which I would mark as a man cave. Every mans dream of a man cave. There we were served some more of their delicious craft beer and also some complimentary wine. They also gave us some tapas which by this time we were all so full that we took home on the ride home. Lots of meets and artisanal cheeses with very fresh bread and butter. Yum. I drove nearly 100 miles to reach Ochentos Pizzas Ensenada, but it was worth the effort. The quality of the food is top-notch, and the pizza is the best I've ever tasted, I recommend the Alfredo. The wine was smooth and delicious, and we all enjoyed it. The service is well-organized, and the staff is always available to assist you. The prices are not too bad for what you are getting, they always give you quality food. The atmosphere is calming and serene, and the view is breathtaking. At the entrance, there is a welcoming sign, and little stands selling Mexican souvenirs. This place is in the sticks and the drive there is a bit harrowing. Dirt roads with potholes, rocks and gravel. Drive there before the Sun sets so you know the terrain going back. The setting is rustic with wood patio tables & benches. You feel as though you are in someone's patio in the woods, but they also cook good food while offering some pretty good vino. Our group enjoyed two family size pies, salad & breadsticks. Add in the Strawberry Lemonade for the kids and a couple bottles of local Tempranillo? All of it made for an unexpected result. Yes, it is a tough ride if you are expecting paved roads. But when you consider where it is, along with the professional service? Just be patient while keeping an open mind. I find it amazing that people with so little really try to make your experience memorable. They even arranged for a BDAY cake that was a Chocolate Tres Leches. It was moist and DELECTABLE!! Just a note that this is out in the middle of nowhere off of dirt roads, so when we were driving there it seemed really strange.
