The pizzas were delicious and we had a great server. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the night that we at there, there was a live band. Just a note that this is out in the middle of nowhere off of dirt roads, so when we were driving there it seemed really strange. I was almost reluctant to post a review as I want this local gem kept local. But I have to give love where it is due. The location is nestled in the hills of the Valle. Total rural and rugged. Once you arrive it's a row of artisan vendors from clothes to candy, jewelry and art. The layout is amazing, the inside is rustic, vintage and pre-covid had live jazz, the layers of outdoor dining has swooping views of the valle. It has a jungle feel and at the bottom of the stairs there is a beer cave, with a speakeasy feel. The food is delicious, fresh, and great value. Really good house made sangria. Enjoy ! read more

I did not think we would go out of our way to eat pizza while we were in Mexico, but this place is WORTH every bite. The pizza itself is great, which we assumed because of Ochentos' solid reviews on Yelp. But what I didn't expect was the awesome atmosphere. We ended up spending over 6 hours here hanging out, listening to live music, and visiting the brewery downstairs (El Chivo Gruñon). A great time!! read more

This was the last place we stopped while on a tour of the Guadalupe Valle with Baja Roca Adventures Tours. Great setting. Seems to be carved on a hillside with lots of ambiance and a live band. Great cave bar with tons of memorabilia. Beer is actually made on site and quite good which when in Mexico is rare. Pizza is seriously legit. The family garden salad was bomb.com. What a view! You can see over a lot of the Valley of Gaudalupe from here. Granted that you can get here in one piece after all of the dirt roads you'll be on. Be prepared for a bumpy ride to get to this pizzeria. Have some tasty pizza in this mission style building with lots of nostalgic knick knacks all over the walls. There was a band playing when we just arrived so they do offer live music. There are some stalls selling things in the front if you are inclined to shop. The pizzas were pretty good and on the thin crust side. Everything tasted fresh and crisp. Nice distinct flavors to the ingredients here. Lots of raves from the locals about this place. Damn good pizza. Wasn't expected at all. Ran into chef Deckman for the 3rd time in a week while getting food here. That should tell you it's good. The drive in is a little intense. Most of the area is as the roads are not paved. Once you make it though great prices for large pies. Live music when we went too. For those that don't speak Spanish don't worry. Sorry to be the party pooper, but I think Ochento's food was mediocre, I don't think it's worth the long drive. I don't believe it has a super beautiful settling either. We ordered an appetizer, a Mediterranean appetizer, it had 2 types of hummus, sans tahini, one standard one with garlic, some white grapes, a little greek yogurt, pita slices, and cucumber with some sauce I believe they tried to do Tzatziki Sauce, but it lacked some ingredients, not sure what. They called hummus "garbanzo dip", and I believe it was, since it didn't have tahini, nor did it have olive oil (I believe). Pizza was sad to look at, it had pepperoni and ham only, that's not my idea of a gourmet pizza, I thought I would get a nice pizza with herbs and fresh mozzarella (at least). It was the "Ochento's specialty", recommended by the server. Salad was meh. Tables were a setting for a fast food place, a fork wrapped in a paper napkin, empty picnic tables. Our server was rude. I think most of them were nice and polite, but we happened to get the rude guy. It is the Valle, and they don't have a wine list, they only serve house wine and sangría. They don't have regular toilets, they have privvys, and they are really nasty and they stank. Even if they don't have a regular city sewer system, they can easily switch to regular toilets. I believe they try to look like a hipster place, but it is totally unnecessary. So, what's the big fuss about this place? I still don't understand. Maybe because of pizza, which is popular with children and it was packed with families with young members. Prices are higher than average for Baja. Don't misunderstand me, I love the Valle, I just happened to have great expectations on this place for all the things I was told before, and it was a big disappointment. read more

The hosted in the front desk really lacks customer service, they don't know how to talk to customers or manage the restaurant tables. We have a group of 20 people and we been waiting for 45mins, all this time there has been 3 huge empty tables where we could Gad been seated, when asking the hostess she is unable to provide a proper explanation. Even your standard pizza is better in Valle. The salad and pizzas here are amazing. This is a great place to grab casual dinner with a large group. Especially if you have kids with you. The pizzas are amazing. The cheeses, ingredients, and dough are super yummy. All of the salads are made well and taste super fresh. The service is attentive and speedy. The location is just beautiful. They have an open air patio with picnic style seating that makes for a great communal meal (indoor seating is also available). They even have live music! The pizza here is so delicious. When we visited, there was a lady and an older man playing music. The atmosphere of this place is so unique, each light post had a wine bottle attached to it and there was corks used to make a photo. The bathrooms are a little confusing as some don't close all the way (some lady opened me the door but I was done about to leave lol) we got half of the especial and half of the three meats and a sangria. We came across this place while on our way to finding the next vineyard. It's on a secluded area in a hill but saw many cars entering the property and the parking lot was full, there were so many people coming in and out of the place which was very unexpected. Avoid this place, it's the worst, cruelest tourist trap restaurant I have ever been to. You enter the restaurant and the owner has several pens with farm animals: sheep, ducks cooped up in tiny pens exposed to the blistering heat. Very cruel and for no good reason other than ignorant human amusement. Anyone with a brain and some sense of empathy knows this is the wrong thing to do. Then there is a lineup of souvenir vendors on both sides of the walkway under cover, not exposed to the heat like the animals selling pure touristy junk. The restaurant itself is outdoors and large. I ordered the dip platter, cheese plate and a beer. The beer was a decent West Coast style IPA, the best part of the meal. The cheese platter was 3 slices of mozzarella style, bland, no flavor, some sliced apples and a little quince paste and a dry third of a baguette. The dip platter was literally one teaspoon each of babaganoush, hummus and yogurt, served in plastic cups, . I swear all three were from Costco. Everything was served in plastic, a huge ecological disaster. Avoid this place like the plague, it's a perfect example of everything the Guadalupe Valley is not: cruel, ecologically unfriendly and tasteless. I highly recommend the Salchicha Pizza... excellent... especially if you add that majic sauce they give you with the bread sticks... not sure what it is... i think its chipotke in vinegar or something like that... spicy and good... the Margherita Pizza is meh ok... they go a bit too strong on the garlic which kills the rest of the flavors (and I love garlic)... the beer is good; recommend Irish Red... their Jamaica is not good tho... i always have jamaica at any given place when available bit I won't be having it here again... if the weather permits; I would suggest sitting in their outside area; we sat down inside because it was raining and it freaking cold outside but the decor inside is blah (very random stuff)... read more

Pizza restaurant that rivals any of the popular spots here in San Diego. The place itself is situated on hillside that overlooks the Valle de Guadalupe wineries. It has a kind of rustic,campground feel to it. The food is good, we ordered the De La Casa salad, spaghetti and pizza Especial. Prices are very reasonable, about half of what would pay at a Filippis or BJ's. I will definitely go back and recommend to anyone. read more

You will never just stumbled upon this place bc its inland and takes lots of turns to get here. When you do make it, you are left with amazement. It overlooks some beautiful vineyards. The place is rustic with lots of greenery. The beer and pizza are different but very tasty. The place is very nice lit patio lighting and is a very good place for a date or family or friends gathering. This area is up and coming with restaurants and vineyards. We spent a couple hours at this small Mexican Craft Beer Brewery. One of the family members explained the history of the land, and how they got started making beer and pizza. The entire time he was talking we were sampling their different varieties of beer which were excellent. I totally recommend taking the tour if you are on a Carnival cruise, or making the trek from Ensenada if vacationing there. read more
