I am absolutely impressed with the quality of his work and really liked his friendly, knowledgeable approach. My friend said he got a crown done in mexico city for 3700pesos while this place charged me 9000pesos and for a much higher price this place still messed it up. Personally i think they should have to pay for my plane ticket back and hotel and everything and fix this problem. Althought they may just mess it up again. Prior to taking the trip, I visited a dentist in the US and was told that I needed 6 root canals,etc etc. Even with my insurance I was quoted at 16k. I started doing a lot of research and realized that US dental insurance is not worth it at all and began learning about medical tourism. I started calling around and eventually found White Smile studio and Ari from their office answered the phone. She spoke fluent English, was so incredibly nice and answered every question I might have. I sent over my X-rays and treatment plan and a few hours later Dr.Gustavo had reviewed them and made a tentative treatment plan (pending his own examination of course as he wanted to see me in person to be sure) and gave estimated pricing. His opinion was that I only needed 1 root canal, 6 fillings/some inlays/restoration/etc. I continued emailing with Ari and sent off my X-rays to some other dentists just to see why I was getting differing opinions from my US Doctor just to compare other dentists recommendations. I had a great feeling about White Smile from the start. After talking with Ari, she offered to let me do a video call with Dr. Gustavo so I could get to know him and let him answer any other questions. Dr. Gustavo met with my husband and I and explained everything with great patience and kindness. After this call I went ahead and booked my first appointment immediately. Dr. Gustavo took time out of his own day to talk with me for half an hour at no extra charge. Upon arriving, the office was clean, modern and everything I expected. Dr. Gustavo did his own exam, compared my X-ray, and told me that he now thought I needed two root canals along with the fillings/etc but that one of the other things I needed wasn't necessary after looking and offered to do my cleaning for free! The price ended up being cheaper than he initially thought. I ended up paying less than 3k out of pocket and am waiting on my insurance to reimburse whatever little they will do. They are in this practice to take care of their customers and make sure they are 100percent healthy without trying to upsell. He brought in his own root canal specialist (I regret not recalling his name) and Dra. Tania to do the crowns, fillings, inlays, restorations, etc.He checked in on the work as it was being done also. All of the staff was so gentle, kind, and patient with me during my visit. They took time to make sure I was comfortable and not in any pain and did not hesitate to take more time if I needed them to re-explain something or to make sure everything was as perfect as it possibly could be. I will send anyone I know to this establishment and should I ever need dental work in the future outside of a cleaning, I'll probably plan to visit the absolutely beautiful city of Puerto Vallarta and come to them directly. The last thing I wanted to do was get extensive dental work done on vacation, but I would 100percent do it all over again. Ari is still communicating with me via email to this day assisting me with paperwork needed for insurance (we've probably sent close to 100 emails since this all began and she has been so kind and helpful every step of the way) if you have ANY questions, call and speak to them. Our dentist and oral surgeon submitted a combined total projected cost for all on four at $120,000. This is where our journey began. I researched the dental tourism in Mexico. I found Esthetic Dentistry listed as the best in Puerto Vallarta. I corresponded with a gentleman Marco about projected cost and the range of options we would be looking at. He was extremely thorough. We worked together for a year, my delay not theirs. We booked our flights and secured an Air BandB. We were to begin treatment on a Monday, however; due to DFW airport being a complete nightmare, we missed our connecting flight. This only put us back two days as Esthetic quickly adapted their schedule to bring us in on Wednesday. This is where it gets good. The driver met us at our condo. He was great. In pointing of fact, every interaction we had with our drivers was amazing. They asked after our health and pain level and were a great part of the team. The ladies at the front desk of this beautifully appointed reception room were perfectly equipped to answer question about pharmacies, right around the corner, and literally anything else we needed. Juan was our point of contact to discuss treatment options after our X-rays were taken. Through much conversation and calculations we opted for the top end procedure that would include 16 posts and porcelain uppers and lowers that will remain until we revisit in 6mos to a year later when we will return for zirconium as our final permanent dentures. The reason we could afford this is the exceptional price we were given. Superior number of posts and 22 extractions all for a total spend including airfare and stay at $52,000. Less than half the price in our U.S. town and extremely higher number of posts. I wish I could say it was all painless, but I would be lying. What I will say is that the surgeon, dentists, dental assistants and others were wonderfully professional and extremely capable. Never once did I feel my procedure was anything but exceptional. Within a day after surgery we were fitted with our "temporary" plates. I say this in quotes as they are permanent and of wonderful quality. Esthetic's professionals looked after us with 100% efficacy. Our teeth have improved not only our smile, but our quality of life hands down. There is no way we would have been able to pay U.S. prices without depleting our saving. So I ask you, why? Why will you continue to pay astronomical prices in America when better care is available elsewhere. Do your research as all dental practices are not created equal. Esthetic is the best for a reason.
