First, they removed the mold from a wall in our back room, I started breathing easier immediately following the removal. They then removed mold from our living room and it turned out to be less than we thought!! Only thing I don't like with the company is they don't put plastic over insulation after the wall is cut out. I had a lot of insulation falling onto my floor after the work was done. But I just taped trash bags over it :). Thanks for all the hard work you and your team put in. I can comfortably live in my own home now after a 3 year battle of health issues from mold :)

We recently had a leak in our second-floor bathroom, at our Duck N.C. Beach home, that collapsed…read morethe ceiling in the first-floor bedroom. The damage ruined the ceramic tile in the second- floor bathroom as well as the vanity and carpet. The first-floor bedroom, carpet ceiling, furniture, King size bed was also ruined. I called American Reliable Insurance first, then called Phoenix Restoration. Rick from Phoenix arrived within an hour and begin the remediation. This required putting in about 3 large humidifiers and pulling up the carpet. They also moved the furniture out and removed the drywall from the ceiling. I was happy to let Phoenix put a lock box on the house and begin work. American sent Jeff Finch the adjustor from White Insurance Adjustors, and he worked with Melinda Tomisser at American Adjustors to put together the claim. Pat Broom, who heads up Phoenix Restoration also came to the site. Pat, Rick and Stacy took charge and managed the entire process from beginning to end. We hired them to clean up and repair water damage in our home based on their positive reviews, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The initial cleanup team did a good job drying out our crawlspace--especially Lester. However, once the repair phase began under owner Gani Berisha, the experience deteriorated quickly. Communication was poor from the start. After the drying process, we waited weeks with little to no updates. When Gani finally visited, he seemed unfamiliar with the project and focused mainly on upselling upgrades because insurance was paying, even suggesting LVP flooring despite our home having hardwood. Once repairs began, communication continued to be difficult. We had to repeatedly request updates, which were often ignored or met with frustration. While we were staying in an Airbnb, we were suddenly given one hour to choose between two floor stain options--neither matching our original floors--and had received no prior notice that a decision was needed that day. When I called to ask about additional options or samples, Gani became irate and dismissive. Eventually, the subcontracted flooring company provided several proper stain samples, which resolved the issue. Throughout the project, the work felt rushed and we had to repeatedly point out problems that needed fixing. The project also ran later than promised. When we finally moved back into our home, we discovered several issues: one of our lamps had been broken, paint was on our Dyson vacuum, and one of the bathrooms had been left in extremely unsanitary condition. When we raised this with Gani, he told us he would submit another claim to our insurance company so we could receive a check to cover the damaged items, rather than his company reimbursing us directly. Overall, this was one of the worst contractor experiences we've had. Based on the poor communication, lack of professionalism, and how issues were handled, we would not recommend working with this company.

In fact, Paul Davis is an intermediary; they have no their own maintenance workers. They take the contract from insurance and then hire the cheapest handyman they find (some of them with no stable jobs, just hired by day) of course to make big profits. Their work is slow, low quality and expect you to pay a part to move faster. Never ever hire these guys!

We had water damage to our floor from a leaky fitting on our dishwasher. We didn't know how long it…read morehad been leaking. Water was squishing up through the laminate floor about 15 feet from the dishwasher and we didn't know why. We called on January 29 after a really cold snap. They came right away and identified the source. They removed the damaged floor and dried out our kitchen and living room. They got approval from our insurance company for a floor replacement. We decided, at our expense, to also have them replace our carpeted stairs with hard wood to match the new floor. There are separate crews for mitigation and restoration. Both were professional and reliable. This ended up being a big project which required additional floor leveling and replacement of insulation under the house. All of the floor had to be removed which required the kitchen countertops to be removed and re-installed along with most of the cabinets. They were able to save all the cabinets. The drying process can take a while and the fans are noisy. They won't repair the damage until it is completely dry, which makes total sense. We couldn't be happier with the result. The floor looks fantastic and the stairs are crisp and modern and meet current code. United Restoration treated us well during the mitigation and restoration. Just plan for it to take longer than you think because there are so many moving parts with demolition, plumbers, painters, etc. We recommend United Restoration wholeheartedly.

If you have USAA just call United Restoration. Lawton did a fantastic job walking me through the claim process, provided recommendations during demolition and rebuilding and expertly managed all of the trades (electrical, dry wall, plumbing, construction, painting, floor team, mitigation...). Lawton's thoroughness and attention to detail prevented any rework or mistakes. Our renovation was not simple - we removed the sub floor, removed a wall, all new flooring downstairs, extensive electrical work and got pre-existing issues up to code, rerouted plumbing, new counters, cabinets, ripped out a sliding glass, put in French door, side lights, a coffee bar and bourbon bar, all new appliances. Not to mention all the scheduling of City inspectors.
