I'm currently standing in a line of 22 people waiting to donate. Management scheduled one person to do intake screening and instead of stepping in to help she just keeps walking back and forth, smacking gum, trying to look busy. I don't have any issues with the staff at this location, but management needs to do better or be replaced. My name is Anthony Graham and I would like to commend several employees at my Decatur GA, Memorial Drive location. Although CSL plasma is directly across the street from my house, I choose to walk two miles to go to the Decatur location. I've been donating there for 2 years and although I Don't always need the money, I enjoy going to your establishment. The personnel is exceptional, Zara, "who needs a promotion and leadership position, along with Paulette, Vicky, Jamaica, Kenji, Porsche, Tonya, Esther, Jareyll, Marcus, and everyone needs to be commended by the management and Corporate. The facility is clean, organized, and welcoming. I just wanted to say thank you to all of them. Also Tyler from Athens who was phenomenal. I honestly used to come here alot and over time it has gotten really slow I just stood 2hours and 30mins in a line for intake the staff here isnt motivated at all to get people in and out this is getting ridiculous because I know there's people that work here who can move really fast but I guess when its bad apples they don't feel the need to do so anymore and I think mangerment isnt saying anything to the staff about this matter it takes all day to donate here I came here at 11am I won't be able to leave into after 4pm that is crazy and really bad and its 3pm I still havent been sat and its not alot of people here its a fair amount for a plasma center but they hold a crowd in here so long it looks like its busy when its not read more

I went there and one of the manger's harassed me in the bathroom, kept telling me get out or I will be escorted. I wasn't donating but my family member was and they didn't let me sit in the lobby and wait , I had to wait outside of the building for 2 hours because that is how long it takes if your a " New Donor ". And I am young so I had to make sure myself was safe waiting by myself, I feel like they should change that rule if one or your family or spouse is donating you can sit in the lobby and wait. Some people were rude some people were nice. And the end of the day they don't pay enough for you to wait 2 hours. read more

My daughter needed a significant amount of plasma during an issue when she was two years of age. Our family began donating at ADMA to help others in need. The facility was clean, and the staff was exceptional. I was the only family member to continue to donate for various reasons. Upon moving, I tried Octapharma on Buford Hwy. It was a completely different experience. The staff was, at least on my first visit, not accommodating at all. Everyone behind the front desk was usually huddled together-laughing & talking to each other, while ignoring donors in line. Close to five hours later, my initial consult/exam was concluded, and I was able to donate. I was moved to an open facility with staff literally yelling/joking/screaming across the room at each other. No big deal - they allow you to listen to your phone with AirPods. On my subsequent visit, I needed help with the kiosk. Once I was able to get a staff member to help, although there were very few people in the facility at the time, and no one at the kiosks, the person who helped said my hands were too cold for the fingerprint reader on the kiosk, and I'd need to come back another day. I waited a few weeks, and gave it another try. This time it was during the CV outbreak. My assumption was they must need plasma, and I'd imagine many people refrained from donating. I attempted to donate, yet was turned away because the kiosk wouldn't read my fingerprint. As I was leaving, another staff member called for me as I was exiting, and said she would help. We handled the fingerprint reader, yet the screener couldn't get the thermometer to read my temperature, although, temperatures were taken outside to enter bc of Covid-19, therefore, my temperature was already read just a few minutes prior. After trying two times, she said she couldn't help, and I should try back in a week. I dislike writing these negative reviews, yet it is such a waste of time simply attempting to donate at this facility. ADMA staff would go above & beyond if there were any issues. It was a completely different experience Octapharma staff were not helpful at all. Most staff talked loudly, mostly yelling about what their having for lunch, and how they needed to be paid more. That's fine, yet they were yelling as they were screening, or prepping to insert needle for donation. My hope is this review will allow the facility to make some changes, and help those donors who go there to try to make a difference. read more

The nurse who suppose to give me shot to get plasma literally we was in a rush and took no accountability for that human being and not a pin cushion. And she jabbed the needle fast and hard and didn't hit my vein omg she literally busted my vein thanks to her lack of focus and human compassio. read more

Signing up and getting started my first time did take quite a while. I was at the donation center for some 5 hours going thru the exams n such. I was not aware of the best practices to prep for donating plasma so my collection took a long LONG time. The key is to eat right and be sure to hydrate well as early as the day before for a smooth donation experience. If not properly prepared blood will flow slowly and the process will take forever. Be patient and donations will fly. You usually earn about 50 each visit, and depending on your frequency of donation you can easily earn cash bonuses each month. The staff is excellent. They are very knowledgeable and professional while at the same time very pleasant and friendly, trying to put you at ease during a donation process that can sometimes be uncomfortable. When I first arrived to start my enrollment, the lengthy process was made less tedious by the staff's genuine enthusiasm for these donations truly making a difference in the medical world and in real peoples' lives, which gave me more motivation to continue donating regularly. The donation process from start to finish can vary greatly depending on the day and time that you go, however, I have generally been in and out within an hour, due to efficiency of processes in place. There is a very laid back and calm atmosphere to the place, despite it sometimes being very crowded with other donors. There's even free WiFi to use while you donate with nothing else to do, so that's a plus! The only negative I have observed at this Octapharma Plasma location is that although the clinic is usually meticulously clean, the restrooms on occasion have been horrifyingly dirty. All things considered, I would definitely recommend donating here, however, I would recommend avoiding the restrooms while there. read more

Been doing Octapharma for years before I was making any real money and even during my time in the military only thing thatI feel they could do better On is how much they pay especially for there Bonuses for the month I mean they are making about $500 per plasma bottle so you would think that they would do better for their regulars who come in 2x a week. read more

Worst management. Once you in, forget that you will be able to exit before 2 to 3 hours in minimum. Process won't take that long, but staff is inefficient specially screening and physical. They are always short of staff but never willing to hire more people. Lot many people want to donate but due to their efficiency, don't want to go and stuck there for hours. read more

If I could give negative stars I would, the way they set up the registration process is so backwards. I was told I had to be deferred for another month due to having had a surgery, after having already spent 3 hours there I was needless to say upset. I received my email to come back once my deferral period was up so I came in, and guess what, I still can't donate. Apparently the first nurse told me INCORRECTLY I had to wait 6 months after my surgery....turns out ITS AN ENTIRE YEAR!!!!! How is this a medical / health facility and people cannot provide you with the correct information??? When the nurse finally told me I couldn't come back until a years time has passed she pretty much said "sorry" and opened the door for me to leave. If plasma is such a necessary part of developing medicine they need to be sure they're training the right professionals to handle the screenings. And for efficiency sake, get the questionnaire earlier in the process!! Was there for an hour and a half before I was told that I could not donate....the people that need plasma rely on these centers to be accurate, what a nightmare At the end of the day people could just lie and say "nope never had surgery" and go ahead and donate. After reading the other reviews ive got to say, yes you're first donation/registration is going to take a while. A good way to minimize this time is to get there early and come prepared. I have been a regular doner for over a year now. I like this place. The staff has always been friendly to me. The process does not take long for me and I get paid for it. The initial process does take a long time. I had to reschedule once because it took hours. There are also times when it's super busy and the other doners run a little wild. But all in all I feel that this is a well run facility. read more

Been to 2 other donation centers in town - this location has the nicest/most professional staff, greatest variety of hours, and fastest in/out times. I have been donating regularly for over 6 months now and the extra cash is great. Make sure you have your documents in order to make the first visit easier. Some of the people there are very nice and professional but most of them are rude, ignorant and unprofessional. Theres lots of gossiping, cold attitudes, and blatant rudeness and even harrassment. Its definately a hostile environment depending on which staff are there. Overall, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. The negative people over shaddow the good people there. Ive never experienced so much ignorance in one place before. But they are very clean and organized despite the ignorance of some. To me their biggest flaw is lack of professionalism and poor attitudes even among some of the management. read more
