This would have been my first time donating with this location or Octapharma in general and am probably not coming back to this location or going to any other locations because it doesn't make sense for me to go out of my way just to potentially donate and to potentially save somebody else's life and potentially get paid less money than my plasma is worth. Every time I came to this location. The system was either down or they wasn't taking no new donors for some reason. Sometimes it'll be a line and of course I don't know how many people are actually at work at that time so sometimes I get it. Although most times when I went it would be maybe 5 people in line and maybe a few people in the back but they was still taking no donors. I would like to add I've been trying to do this for a full month now on different days at different times early and later in the day but same result. Even calling the donor advocates line didn't resolve anything and it seems like they are reading from a customer service handbook and not really able to help with anything other than basic donor stuff that you can research on the website yourself. Only thing I can say is that the workers who I have talked to in the center seemed nicw so I can't complain there. read more

On January 3, 2024, around noon.  I witness BULLYING between a manager (Briana Taylor) and an employee. I believe the young lady had injured her wrists but she continued to work without complaining and did a great job. Let's start here, Briana asks the young lady to bring some gloves out but doesn't ask any else and watches her struggles and sits back watching it. Unbelievable! If you don't believe me replay the camera. Briana Taylor was talking to Zarria and said, "She taking 50 years to disconnect this donor, make her do something and send her a** home." I couldn't believe what I was hearing on the donor floor from a manager. Absolute evil; that has no sense of morality or mercy at all. The way she talks to the staff and donors is alarming, very nasty, and rude. Like she is above everyone else. HR needs to analyze this situation. This can not continue! Bullying in the workplace affects mental and physical health issues. Take this complaint or situation seriously and investigate it promptly. I will be contacting corporate next. read more

Worst, absolute worst one I've been to, I will never go back. Staff work ethics are horrible, wait time is a minimum 2 hours, and they've lessened the pay and increased the amount of plasma U must donate! The wait is really long. The phlebotomist need better training. Gave blood about a week ago arm is still bruised. Will blame your diet for the machines not working. They are over worked. This place is the absolute worst place to visit in any capacity. They do not have enough staff and half of the staff that they do have are just sitting around looking busy but have no clue what is going on. The place is dirty and half of the sign-in terminals don't work. It will be a very desperate cold day in Hell before I would ever recommend this place and Thank God I'm not in that position. The people at this dump act like they're doing you a favor when in fact it's the other way around. Just because they pay for plasma doesn't mean they don't need clients to keep their jobs and plasma to continue going forward with treatment and research for those who need it. read more

The wait is ridiculously long. They like to claim an hour to donate but I've never gotten out in less that 2.5 hours and at 1.5 of that is waiting. I've seen people waiting on the little beds finally just get up and leave. Clearly you know you have desperate people there so help them a little more. read more

Cold weather, security watched us freeze to death, wouldn't open the door till time. Safe to say, he did explain how to get more money x 2,4,678 donations a month. Thanks again Security Tay. This location is very spacious but try to go early as possible because sometimes it gets very busy at this location.

Good place good workers...takes long sometimes but other times you're in and out. Way better than csl plasma.

This place by far is the absolute WORST plasma company out there. The donors are treated with the upmost disrespect. All of the managers are RUDE AND LAZY. All they do is sit on their lazy butts and eat food all day and talk BAD about the co-workers that work very hard there. THE MANAGERS sleep/date their co-workers here. They show favoritism here. If your not a part of the "crew" you won't get crossed trained. They will let the business get soooo busy and after they finally finished eating they come out of their huds and walk around to make it look good for the corporate camera. This place needs all new managers and FULL sweep because they do a horrible job at running this place. Since Melissa left the place has went downhill!! read more

I like the process on certain days i just wish they answer the phone more often so i would know exactly when i can come back to donate

Donating plasma is a process, much of it designed to eliminate contaminating factors. Some days, depending on the crowd, donating will take longer than others. If you see donating as a positive thing and the money is a plus, you may be a candidate who can flow with the process. At this location, I know the names of many of the personnel and they always greet customers in a positive way. I appreciate their efforts and have never had a bad experience there. I have learned to keep my iron and protein at optimal levels and now understand that keeping hydrated is vital thanks to Octapharma Decatur. read more
