Unprofessional behavior, malpractice & forgery/lying on official document forcing permanent deferral of services of US Veteran due to an episode of feeling light-headed but not passing out; just a dizzy spell from standing up quickly in the heat of Wichita, KS. Incorrect information recorded after episode about my UNSPECIFIED Behavior and not informed of possible deferral from denying care, yet the technician made it clear that his staff would be reprimanded if he didn't take my blood pressure, to which i obliged politely, twice due to an Incorrect procedure by the staff member. Little concern for the patient and only for staff-- double standard and bias by manager on duty...told to not talk to staff about the staff member lying on record. Punished for false reasons. I liked going here but the facility was dirty. The bathroom was really bad. The air dryer didn't work and there was no paper towels. This went on for weeks so I am going elsewhere now. the front glass is so filthy and I don't believed it has ever been cleaned. The neighborhood is not safe after dark. read more

Third time donating here, worst experience. Lady messed up on my arm (still hurts) then she leaves, and I'm stuck sitting in the chair in pain for almost 30 min, workers walking by, laughing at the desk, admitting new donors. Clearly didn't care about wasting anyone's time so I left. Don't recommend. read more

I want to start by saying that I am more upset with whoever is in charge than I am with the facility or everyday workers. But I went in to donate on July 19th in the early evening, and it was busy, it usually is. The A/C was broken and they were handing out water bottles which I'm actually super thankful for but that backfired drastically. While I was donating, there was an old, skinny, black man that was also donating that had emptied his water bottle then decided to empty his bladder INTO IT. He was still hooked up and donating and I know that people need money but that is no excuse to PEE IN A BOTTLE IN PUBLIC. He was noticed by one of the female workers then unhooked and thank goodness. What is even more unacceptable though is that when I returned to donate another day (because I'm a broke single mom that needs this), HE WAS THERE AGAIN. How can a company let someone commit a literal crime in front of dozens of people and still probably pay him AND let him return?! This is disgusting and I bet it wouldn't be tolerated at either of the other centers in town, which I will be going to from now on. Who was in charge that let someone urinate while donating and then allowed them to step foot in the building ever again. I would give zero stars if it was an option. read more

Terrible wait every single time. Even when there are empty beds. That is one thing about CSL that is much better, they get more people through so much. We have all been here for 2 and a half hours and there is just no sense of urgency. They seem to have no customer service or time management skills. If biomat paid better consistently, they would crush this place. I now see why Csl is also much busier read more

Always impressed with my experience at Octapharma. I've been educated of how valuable and life saving my donation is. The staff work tirelessly to ensure all donors are seen. They follow a strict protocol to ensure the safety of me as the donor and the recipient of my donation. Wait times can be a little lengthy. But I'd much rather proper, healthy, sanitary procedures take place before my donation and I am more than willing to wait. Also, Thomas especially stands out as someone dedicated to his job and the well being of the donors. read more

I was just someone's ride up here, wasn't donating, but i went inside to wait for my friend to get done and they told me to wait outside! They have no waiting areas and no place to sit outside. If they refuse to let anyone wait on anyone inside, the least they could do is have a bench to sit on outside. Why they don't have a waiting area or any place outside for people waiting to sit is beyond me and really agitating. read more

This place is usually pretty understanding. You can come in here after days of not bathing. If you are a small person and all your skin is showing they will let you in. I am a busty girl. I have a full body swim suit covering my thighs. Just because I am busty they told me I couldn't donate. I will no longer be letting these judgmental people make money off my health. I highly suggest CSL on central. They are not uppity. read more

I think it is pretty ridiculous that donating plasma here now takes 3 hours EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. for the past 2 months. Why? I have been donating here for almost 5 years and it has never been this bad. How does adding a few new questions to pre screening back up the entire process. I think the problem lies in lack of pre screeners, check in computers, and people up front who are working efficiently. I can look at the front counter most of the time, and there are 2 people just standing there waiting for something to do. Something needs to change, but until it does you all are going to be constantly dealing with angry people. read more
