When the list had several tasks, some of importance, some not so much, I decided to hire a handyman. I submitted the job to Yelp, and very quickly I received several responses. One response was from C & M Home Improvement. We very quickly arranged a visit, and I went over all the tasks with Mark while he took notes. Mark gave me an individual quote for my most important task that was more than fair and I immediately accepted. He literally took care of that task, and a couple of others that very day! I was surprised and very pleased with both the timing and the job that he did. These tasks included, 1) repairing a crack in the plastic roof on my back porch, 2) my drive-through gate would not stay closed, and 3) my gutter downspouts were loose or detached. These are the three tasks that Mark completed that very day. Subsequently, Mark sent me an individual quote for each of the remaining tasks from my list. All were very reasonable, and I agreed. Times were set up for these tasks and they were all completely quick and well. These remaining tasks included 1) cleaning out the attached shed, 2) cleaning and organizing the unattached shed, 3) power washing the patio, 4) installing a chimney cap to prevent squirrels from falling down chimney, 5) staining/sealing the full front porch, and 6) painting the wooden porch railings. For tasks 5 and 6, Mark power washed before applying the sealant and the paint). Mark also suggested that the house be power washed, and the gutters cleaned out. He quoted a price, again very reasonable, and I agreed. I am very satisfied with the work Mark performed and the timeliness. I am thrilled that all the tasks on my list were completed. I particularly liked the reasonable pricing...being on a fixed income in a difficult economy. They sent a guy named Scott out here to give us a quote. When that man got out of his car, I thought, great, they sent me a young kid that dont know much. Boy, was I wrong!!!!! This 24 year old had the experience and knowledge like no other. Being that he knew the things he knew and could explain it, you no longer have to sale to me. I'll take it. Lol. This company got me financed fast and had a crew of 4 guys out here days later to put my roof on. These four gentlemen got my roof on in one day. Not only that, they also made it look as if they were never here. I am impressed by the professionalism and price these guys have. Coastal Carolina Roofing Experts put the best GAF shingles on my roof in 2019 after the hurricanes…read more(Timberline HD by GAF). I also paid for their best warranty called the GOLD WARRANTY, which is good for 50 years. This job was done six years ago, so the faulty installation of the drip edge should have been covered. They did not install the drip edge correctly, and they will not pay for the repairs that I had to have done, which came to $2,242.02. They nailed the drip edge into the molding and the facia, but it should have been nailed into what they call the decking or the underlayment. I watched a GAF video that showed that the nailing should have been other than what they did, but they would not pay for the repairs that I had ti have done and paid for already. I sent them several pictures of their faulty work and the repairs that are under way. They refused to give me any satisfaction. They said that they didn't do anything wrong, so I sent them a GAF video on how to install the drip edge, which showed that they installed it wrong. I spoke to GAF several times, but they assured me that it was not their fault, which I totally agree with. It was the installers - Coastal Carolina Roofing Experts. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau of North Carolina to file a complaint with them. We paid good money for their GOLD WARRANTY, but it was a waste of money, because they would not honor it, even after they told me that THE WARRANTY DID COVER "MATERIAL AND INSTALLATION." I paid $16,638 for this roofing job back in 2019. I AM TOTALLY DISGUSTED WITH THIS COMPANY. I tried to call the telephone numbers at the top of our contract with them; two of them were disconnected and the other one was a car dealer in Toronto, Canada! GOOD LUCK!

Neither was done & no one will call me/email me back to rectify this. Ive messaged over 40 times & keep getting told someone will respond-no one ever has. We're now in 2026! Now going to court over this, absolutely ridiculous. We've never had any issues like this with another company-extremely disappointing! Also side note: they wrecked our brand new deck. They didnt cover it and now there are stains all over it after the roof was replaced. Weve had the deck refinished and stains are still there, we cant get them out. We originally had the roof replaced after we were told from them it would fix two window area leaks. The roof had NOTHING to do with the windows. The leak was still there after the roof was replaced, it was just a simple seal around the windows themselves.
