    Paint on floor

A couple years ago, I hired these worthless idiots to remodel my kitchen and paint out my house on a rental property in Swansboro. Luckily for them, I had to do everything via phone and pictures because I was stationed in Quantico at the time. Through pictures, I had to correct their worthless work repeatedly. 1. Put plywood in a $3k cabinet set, for shelves, as if it didn't come with shelves. I had to tell them that was ludicrous. 2. Had linoleum floor laid in kitchen. They put it in AFTER cabinets were installed and just cut even with cabinet bases, where it was curling up and bowed in pictures. I had to ask if they planned to put quarter round down to finish it out. 3. Mounted dishwasher in place, in a corner, stuck out so far, perpendicular drawer and cabinet couldn't open. When I had them push it in the rest of the way, linoleum didn't cover floor in front of dishwasher. They "fixed" it by putting quarter round down in front of dishwasher. Hope I never have to pull dishwasher out for repair, right? 4. Via pictures, I could see they missed some painting around trim. 5. After a few years, my tenants moved out, and now I'm back in town to prep house for resale. The paint job is so sub-par, it's comical. The crown molding is painted an extra quarter inch down the wall; the floor has white, trim-paint on it; there are 2" screws drilled into the side of dishwasher, sticking out 1.5" through under-sink area; there are swashes of trim with wall paint showing through trim paint. Doors are half brushed out, vice rolling them with a thin-nap roller. I argued, repeatedly, via email and phone, about things I could see that were terrible. If I were here to see this cluster-F in person, I'd have fired them on the first day. If you need a professional, find one. These guys are not the professionals you are looking for. See the pics for a handful of reasons to never hire these jack balls. Happy to counter ANY reaction they have to this review. I still have the email communications where I lost it on their shifty job. They even decided to not charge me for the kitchen floor, because I insisted they redo it, properly, without the big gap in front of my dishwasher, or remove that from the bill.

DO NOT CONTRACT THIS COMPANY!!! STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THEM AS YOU CAN. We were purchasing a house for a family member and this company was contracted to repair the siding on the front of the house. After the work was complete we thought they did a great job matching the siding on the house. After we closed on the house we were clearing out some over grown trees from the back of the yard that were up against the house. That is when we discovered all this company did was cut the size of the siding that they needed for the front of the house from the back of the house that was hidden from where the over grown trees where. This company is very shady on what they are doing. The picture is of the hole they cut out of the siding from that back of the house. This is just how they left it.

Worst company ever. Run don't walk away. Paid for work they did not do. Unreliable, unresponsive and unscrupulous!

Short Story: The best local roofing company you will find!…read more The morning Hurricane Idalia came through I discovered a leak in an upstairs bedroom. Immediate triage revealed a long term slow leak in my attic in which my decking was rotting and soft. Considering my house is only three years old you can imagine my displeasure. Started calling roofing companies immediately and with the rain still falling take a guess how many answered or called me back. Out of at least nine only one answered. Jennifer was one of the nicest people and actually followed through with calling me back within ten minutes to let me know Mr. Romero would be out within an hour. He showed up in 45 minutes and got right to it, sealing off the leak with an anchored GAF tarp. He even cleaned out my gutter downspouts while up there. Who does that these days? He wouldn't accept payment and said he could come out within a few days to replace the decking and shingles. I received an estimate via email within the hour and was taken back by his more than fair pricing. True to his word he was back within the week and my roof is like new again. During this process I learned Mr. Owen Romero owns the company, has a little over a dozen roofers working for him, is an honest family man and cares about his customers. The entire process was one of the most positive experiences I've ever had with a contractor. From Jennifer in the office, the communication, quality of work, price and the fact he provided pictures of everything he did spoke volumes to me. Whether you are in need of a repair, a new roof or building a house OD Roofing is the company to call. They do it all from metal, flat and traditional shingles. If you are a roofer in Eastern NC just know OD Roofing put you on notice. I hope I never need to call him again but if I do, I look forward to the services he provides. Thank you Owen, Jennifer and the OD Roofing family. You will always have a friend in me.

Owner stayed on the job to make sure it was done correctly. Cleanup was spectacular, no waiting days for dumpster removal, no left over shingles in my yard. So, we got a roof ourselves from these guys and gals. From the beginning of a phone call, the service was exceptional and very understanding. Many calls were made. Lol. They sent a guy named Scott out here to give us a quote. When that man got out of his car, I thought, great, they sent me a young kid that dont know much. Boy, was I wrong!!!!! This 24 year old had the experience and knowledge like no other. Being that he knew the things he knew and could explain it, you no longer have to sale to me. I'll take it. Lol. This company got me financed fast and had a crew of 4 guys out here days later to put my roof on. These four gentlemen got my roof on in one day. Not only that, they also made it look as if they were never here. I am impressed by the professionalism and price these guys have. Yes, they are a bit more than some, but they do the best job in the best time I've seen. Thanks to you all here that took care of me and my family and made us feel better. My roof looks great and so does my yard still.

Coastal Carolina Roofing Experts put the best GAF shingles on my roof in 2019 after the hurricanes…read more(Timberline HD by GAF). I also paid for their best warranty called the GOLD WARRANTY, which is good for 50 years. This job was done six years ago, so the faulty installation of the drip edge should have been covered. They did not install the drip edge correctly, and they will not pay for the repairs that I had to have done, which came to $2,242.02. They nailed the drip edge into the molding and the facia, but it should have been nailed into what they call the decking or the underlayment. I watched a GAF video that showed that the nailing should have been other than what they did, but they would not pay for the repairs that I had ti have done and paid for already. I sent them several pictures of their faulty work and the repairs that are under way. They refused to give me any satisfaction. They said that they didn't do anything wrong, so I sent them a GAF video on how to install the drip edge, which showed that they installed it wrong. I spoke to GAF several times, but they assured me that it was not their fault, which I totally agree with. It was the installers - Coastal Carolina Roofing Experts. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau of North Carolina to file a complaint with them. We paid good money for their GOLD WARRANTY, but it was a waste of money, because they would not honor it, even after they told me that THE WARRANTY DID COVER "MATERIAL AND INSTALLATION." I paid $16,638 for this roofing job back in 2019. I AM TOTALLY DISGUSTED WITH THIS COMPANY. I tried to call the telephone numbers at the top of our contract with them; two of them were disconnected and the other one was a car dealer in Toronto, Canada! GOOD LUCK!

By far the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. The management does nothing to stop noise or…read moreto address any complaints. I emailed Erin, the property manager, a few times to complain about the tenants below me. She ignored emails and avoided my fiancée and I altogether. It is not worth the money to live in this apartment complex.

Hello! I have lived at this apartment complex for the last three years. I PCS'd from California…read morehere, confirmed the apartment site unseen, and everything in the photos was exactly how it was in person. I took a huge risk doing that and because of Erin I'm so glad I did. She made locking in my apartment easy and comfortable, even though I was on the other side of the nation. This is one of the best apartment complexes you could choose to live at here in this small town of Jacksonville, NC. If you can read a lease and comprehend basics statements/rules - you'll have no problem living here. I've seen, heard, and witnessed my fair share of good, and bad tenants; let me say this now: Erin is not the problem. She has had a few assistants that were less than stellar (some more than others - if you know you know) and doing a lot of under the radar type stuff. She is always doing what she can to mitigate their slack that they leave behind, and didn't really keep up with, in the first place. Forgoing her own personal life at times since she is the one on call 24/7. Any time police or emergency services are called, she's there immediately and checking up on the tenants in the days to follow to ensure they're okay. When my car was broken into, she stayed outside with me until the police showed up and checked on me days after to make sure I was okay. I've learned and met some of the elder tenants because Erin walks to their doors to make sure they're okay and aren't struggling with anything. That's the kind of care you don't see often. Now, I have had the same unit all three years - anytime I submitted a maintenance request - the gentlemen that have been maintenance servicers were timely and giving my full explanations on what was done and how to avoid certain things in the future. If outside maintenance was being performed, the leasing office would always notify you ahead of time so that you would be aware of any additional personnel around the complex. I've had issues with tenants in my building (specifically noise complaints and pet waste not being properly disposed of) I've sent emails and have gone in person to make complaints when necessary, and it was handled accordingly. If there was an issue with any of the amenities, you could send an email or send in a maintenance request, and it would be serviced within that week. If I had questions about decorations or things I could do in my apartment unit that I wasn't sure would be a violation or not - I simply asked before doing it. It's called being an adult and being respectful. I didn't disrespect the property, leave any damages, or disrespect the statements on the lease. I've noticed a lot of people do shady things during their time there, and just straight up ignore what's on the signed contract. It is very clearly stated on the lease with what you can and can't do. It's all black and white, no grey area. No room for interpretation. If there's anything that she's not clear on, she will ask the management company what their say is on it. Simple as that. If the previous tenants who've had issues and left these degrading comments before would've done just that - follow the rules. She wouldn't have to address the violations of the leases that they did. All in all, I didn't want to move - at all. Due to personal reasons regarding my unit - I decided it was time for a change of scenery and a fresh beginning. Whenever Erin decides to move on to better things - that complex is going to hurt drastically. Erin, thank you truly for all that you do, and have done, for me during my time at Carolina Place Apartments. You truly have a thankless job, and I hope that management company truly realizes and appreciates what a gem you are.
